Good Morning ☼ Sun is shining BRIGHT and already 50 degrees! We may just see that 60 degrees today!! Tracy is still in the hospital - back on bipap yesterday - still nauseas and headache, so I am not thinking she will be home today, but what do I know? Still planning dinner, but my heart is not in it. Wish I hadn't begun planning, but it is what it is... and we'll see how the day goes.
Sue: Hey, I actually made "Bento Boxes" last week, so that was my lunch each day! Cottage cheese, pepper strips, broccoli, cucumber slices, strawberries, and hard boiled egg. I had to use calories, so I also added some veggie dip and a squirt of whipped cream on the strawberries!! Hope your dinner and show were good last night.
Oh that's right, now I remember you mentioning the paint girls. Yeah, well, glad I had a "Prissy Boy", because Matthew LOVED performing, and I loved watching him in his glory.
Gabrielle: Yikes, glad the run was dry, but it does sound cold! Yes, between being COLD and HAIL, it is good you can just stay inside. Is there any concern about the hail, for any plants on the ranch? Or is it early enough that it's not a concern? Oh Man... thunder & lightening? Yo are a strong lady, GF! I would have wanted to ditch that event!!
They did another EKG and brain scan, to rule out clots. They gave her meds for migraines, and more meds for nausea. IMHO I think they are just throwing meds at her so she has less pain and can leave.
We are hoping to be able to keep our current backsplash, but it wasn't that expensive, and Tracy and I put it in ourselves. So if it has to be replaced we'll probably get same as we already have. We'll see, maybe this week we can get to the kitchen store. Yikes, yes, that was a lot of driving to deal with DM meds, lunch, car - OYE VEY! Oh geeze and you still need to go grocery shopping? Be safe out there... hopefully you got it done, so today you can hunker down in the house and just enjoy a quiet day.
OK all caught up, and need to get moving for the day ahead. I got a lot done yesterday, but still need to get the bathrooms wiped down and get dressed. Need the ham in around 11, so will throw the potatoes and squash in at that time as well. Glad to have those all cooked, ready to reheat, and those dishes done and out of the way! Today will be (more) SIMPLE for me!
♥hugs♥

Good morning
I woke up again with snow on the ground, not to much but a little bit and it's so cold with winds blowing. The mountains are just getting hammered right now but that's where it should be is up there. It snowed off and on all day yesterday but nothing stuck on the ground. I had just finished up with my mom and dad's grocery shopping and it really started coming down so I just came home and watched some TV. I really enjoy watching "Lake front Bargain Hunt" on the Magnolia channel. I have always wanted a lake house to enjoy year round, I think it would be fun.
My sister texted this morning and she's in Port at San Pedro Calif, they are docking at 9:30am then strait to the airport for a 4:00pm flight home to PDX, they should land at 7:30pm tonight. They took a cruise to Mexico the Carribean side for a week. Shes the one that just retired at the end of last year.
I think I had a bit of food poisoning last night, I made shrimp pesto pasta with cauliflower noodles so it was somewhat healthy, but I'm not sure about the shrimp. I went to bed and my stomach was hurting, then I got the headache and through the night I really had the chills and was really cold but I was burning up for much of the night, maybe I had a mild case of it, but I feel fine today.

Carole sorry about Tracy in the hospital again, man I sure wish they would figure out whats going on with her, it's got to be frustrating for her to be in there so often and not have any answers. Are you getting new counter tops, that should be fun to pick out, I'm with you on the cortz counter tops, I think they look so nice and not much up keep unlike granite. I would love to redo my kitchen sometime. Hopefully I can continue to build up my 401 and when I retire we can at least reface my cabnet's and counter tops along with painting my kitchen to bring up to date. Enjoy your nice weather today, it' sounds warmer than here. I think our Spring is coming in like a lion.
Gabrielle sounds like your weather is just as cold as we are. I hope your mom's feeling ok. Yes, I did get back on my matt yesterday and it felt good. I got in my 10,000 steps and then will continue with it today and after work on the week nights, maybe not every night after work but I"m shooting for at least 3 nights this week and then yesterday and today and that will make it 5 day's a week this week, that's my goal and think its do able. Also I'm going back to weigh and measure my foods and hopefully I can move the scale down instead of up a pound, down a pound.
Sue I'm really glad you enjoyed the night with the paint ladies, that sounds fun. Sorry about your exema, my sister has that as well. Glad your getting your kitchen all organized. Yes, I have one more week of long hours and hopefully we will have all 5400 tons of the sand up there. Oh wow to Josh's opinion to musicals and they are for prissy boy's? He is such a putz. Theres nothing wrong with boy's and musicals, there's plenty of men on broadway who make big bucks for being in musical's.
Christine have a safe trip to Fulton Co. sounds like you'll be busy with all the kids being tested. Glad you got Mark's car sold. Sounds like wedding are getting really expensive now day's, Hey I think a golf corse is ok for the bridal shower, maybe you can go golfing as well, I love to golf, in fact, I just was looking at my clubs the other day and was thinking I'm going to get out this summer and at least hits some balls if not golf. Kerry and I love to go in the summer time, I like to walk the course, he's more of a cart guy because of his knee being so sore.
OK need to get my tennis shoes on and get on my matt, have a simple Sunday

Good morning,
Wow, still pretty cold here---34 degrees. I am not sure that the low snow came in as intensely as predicted (which is fine with me!) but more is slated to come in today. We had SO much hail yesterday....it looked like we had about 3 inches of snow. it has melted now though. I am so glad that I went to the store last night. It wasn't crowded at all and I got done what needed to get done. Now I will stay home today, finish up laundry, and do work-work. I have to finish up a presentation for Tuesday afternoon---since they scheduled our dinner meeting in San Francisco at 5:00 pm (when my presentation is slated to end), I have to drive to SF alone and get there early to run my training/presentation on Zoom.....grrr. I am not happy about driving to SF alone in the pouring rain, but it is what it is. We will spend the night, meet all day on Wednesday, and drive back. The drive to SF (in light traffic) is about two hours. The drive home on Wed will probably take 2.5 or more due to commuter traffic. It will be good to get the presentation/training wrapped up today. Did any of you watch "The Good Wife" series a number of years back? There was a character named Elsbeth on that show who I LOVED. So smart and funny....now she has her own series and we watched the first one last night. It is witty-reminds me of "Monk", which we loved years ago. I recommend it! I think it is on CBS (we watched it on Paramount+).
Carole: I love your bento box idea for lunches! Do you have bento containers for that? I would think they would be great keeping the ingredients separated. I might do that too --- I am kind of getting tired of salads EVERY day for lunch. I am sorry that you are feeling less-than-excited about the dinner plans. Do you HAVE to do it? Can you bow out? I agree with you and can see why you feel like they are treating Tracy's symptoms and not really figuring it all out. I am also sorry to hear she was back on the bipap. I am wondering if this might merit a very thorough search for a pulmonologist/specialist....maybe even someone who is a distance away who can REALLY look into this? I wish I could think of something--I just feel for all of you and Tracy and this drags on and on. Wow you are a lot warmer than us today! I hope that you can sit in the tub at some point and enjoy that sunshine. Thanks for getting us going!
Jenny: Uggh....what a long, miserable night for you! I am glad that you feel better today. Be sure to get plenty of water to flush your system. Yay for being at home and maybe taking it easy? It sounds like you have another busy week in front of you. I love that show too! I like seeing the different lakes--most of them in the midwest or east so I have never even heard of them. It is fun to watch.
Sue: Wow, it looks like Elly really is a star! Glad that you had a good time!
Okay, I am going to get started on the laundry and get moving. Have a good day everyone--I will pop in later.
