Monday will be back to work after a lazy weekend hanging with Laken and her Dad...getting a few things done but also wasting some time. I went to two church services on Sunday. Laken has been attending a church in Lexington and has been wanting us to go. We really enjoyed. Afterwards, I had to attend my church as we had a business meeting afterwards. I look forward to seeing Ms Renee tomorrow as she has been loafing all weekend and I've missed her. Work should be good this week. Nothing too taxing should be going on.
June & MJ, your talk of the turkey breast has me wanting one now. I'll have to try a breast in the crockpot. I usually cook a whole one.
June, thanks for getting us going. I googled Lily Dale and it sounds very interesting. Looks like its near Buffalo. I've been there once but only to fly in on our way to Niagara falls.
MJ, WOW on Russ's dental issues. That's very expensive but not surprising since he has to have so much done.
Susi, I'm so glad you are doing well and being smart about what you can and can not do.
Cathy, how nice to get in the smaller pants! I bet they look wonderful on you.
Waving to Bee and Ann and wishing ALL a Blessed week ahead.

LaDonna Nice that you could enjoy a laid back weekend with Laken, Randy, and Lucy. Sometimes relaxation is exactly the way to handle time off.
Renee will be excited when she sees you! I can just imagine her face lighting up. When Sydney was here, I would hold her, and sing and gently dance to the first notes of the tango. She loved it. I sang those notes to her over the phone and she laughed and laughed.
The book on Lily Dale was a bit of a rough go. I had started it twice before I finally read it. The historical material proved interesting. The authorβs personal experiences and insights were less so. After finishing the book, neither Lily Dale or Cassagada became primary destination on my βadventure list.β (Lily Daleβs FLA offshoot, Cassagada, is very close to my nephewβs home).
Glad that the rhythm of your work week looks pretty routine. Thatβs usually a good situation, esp. with Easter rapidly approaching.
I like to pick up a turkey breast when it is on sale. lol. . . I am more likely to want to βmessβ with a small breast than a whole bird.

Good morning, all!!!
Prayers still going up for those in the path of storms... many, MANY prayers... there are many, MANY storms... and fires, too, that never seem to go away...
Prayers for all our loved ones who are in particular need... especially Susi as healing continues, and our own dear Ann...

Yesterday's brilliant sunshine and mild temps are replaced by clouds and cooler (but not cold) temps - the precursor to a rainy week <insert roll-eyes emoji here>.
We finally went to ShopRite - yes, on a Sunday. But we went around 9:30 AM and not only scored a very close parking spot (remember - our usual lot is completely closed) but found that the store was not crowded AND the clerk was stocking up the markdown cabinet. We got a few treasures there and then everything on our list. After lunch and naps we watched NASCAR but missed the last laps! MissMouse came to "walk Pippin" and then the Kressling came in after his 3-day USAR weekend. No worries; we saw who won and the race should replay today.
MissMilla and her fellow students will be on their Kairos Retreat this week. This is a ritual for Juniors as they look toward their years after high school. We may never hear anything about what takes place, but I do hope that we'll find out what she thought about her Palanca from us.
Today Son#1 did not go to the office so Toots & Pippin are still sleeping in. It will be a CinderElla/Fella day around here, plus some list-making for the rest of the week. Nice and easy. That's how we're going to take it. However, if I don't get a haircut ASAP, I'm taking the shears to it myself <ahem>. And that's a fact. <aHEM>.
Coffee... βββ... morning prayer...
πππππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππππππππππ
Russπ€ΉStuff: I texted DBabySis with the update on the dental situation. Just the facts. Next steps are in the hands of MVG-SN and DHS (Dental Home Services).
MπΊB & T: Today is supposed to be the first email of the new marketing for the product (the one that's not ready to release π§). Yesterday In the early evening there was a flurry of activity as T started asking questions that IMO should have been addressed "a while back". In the middle of the night (my time) there was a series of messages from MB to Verena; he's having a problem creating the first video (releases 3/11). There's also a problem with the order of the two videos and the emails for next week. T spent all day yesterday working on content that apparently 1) is for the wrong video and 2) includes information that MB does not want to release about Masterclass content. MB said that he "cleared... calendar tomorrow [today] so... can be involved with the email review." I don't have a really good feeling about this. I forgot to buy popcorn. NOTE: I don't want or need to "fix" this. I said my piece many, MANY times. Now I am observing from a sociological / organizational behavioral perspective, contributing my wordSpinning efforts when my schedule can accommodate their lack of one.

Checking in after 4pm today. I closed the curtains in the bedroom and slept through sunrise all the way till after 8:30 this morning. I had a solid eight hours of sleep and scared my husband because I am usually up earlier We went out to run errands, buy groceries and produce, pick up coffee and nuts at the roastery, and I bought items at the stationery store to help with French and to create a food diary with in a new 2024 agenda. I won't have the first three months of the year BUT old hard copies of food diaries are a great way to find out how I did in a past year so...decided to go for it even if late. I also am having trouble with the Healthi App and nearly a month after it started I am still unable to search for foods in the app...rather frustrating!
I skimmed posts but don't have time to write personals today. Hope we all have a wonderful week!

June - Do you think you will visit Lily Dale? Enjoy your turkey LaDonna - Glad you and Randy were able to spend quality with with Laken. Is there much left to do at her house? Glad you enjoyed both church services. MJ - Whereas Carol said our ShopRite was absolutely insane, although went in the afternoon so that may be why. Sounds like some nice, laid back family time as well. Good for you for letting them sort themselves out. Cathy - Nothing beats a good night of solid sleep! Waving to Ann and Bee
Isabella and I walked Lily for about a mile yesterday afternoon. Fortunately there were no other dogs out and it was a beautiful day. I also spent some time outside. My friend Regina from the gym stopped by with a card from the morning crew and a gift card to a local pizzaria and Italian food store. Carol dropped off some Shoprite bargains and I spoke with a few friends on the phone. I walked again with Carol this morning and took Lily solo but only a few blocks. Not going to push it. I have the sling off for typing and do some light kitchen prep. I'll put it back on when Isabella and I walk Lily this afternoon.
S - Usual coffee B - Carrot cake oatmeal with cream cheese frosting L - Tuna sandwich on 647 wheat, heirloom tomato salad w/ov D - Crab cakes, asparagus

Whereas Carol said our ShopRite was absolutely insane, although went in the afternoon so that may be why. When we left (close to 11 AM) it was starting to pick up. A guy in the parking lot asked us how bad it was; it was not his regular shopping time either.

Beautiful day here after a dreary rainy weekend. 70s and sunny. We spring forward with the clocks this weekend.
June, I also love singing to the baby I also hope to get my taxes at least started by the end of the week.
MJ, I'm also feeling the need for a cut/color...thankfully I have an appt after work on Weds.
Cathy, I bet Mounah was relieved to see you were ok...glad you got to sleep in
Susi, sounds like you are coming right along. Laken's house needs the screen wire finished on her back porch, and the insulation blown in the attic. Both of which her Dad is hopefully taking care of this week. Hopefully by weeks end we will be calling for final inspection. After that the electric company will come back and get the permanent power hooked up.
Waving hello to Ann and Bee.

susiq25679, It definitely will...although I anticipate seeing her quite frequently and happy she has good neighbors on each side of her so I'll rest a little easier.
