Good morning.
37, clear now, with rain moving in eventually, later, with a high of 54.
Gareth, my taste must have changed over the last so many years as that dessert!!! Yikes, I could barely finish my serving, it was so so sweet and rich!!! You mentioned that strawberry dessert I have to make for DGS every year; DGD told me that when she moves out, she wants that recipe, lol. I have to split up that taco soup, this morning, for freezing.
I am sorry your BD got rescheduled again. Maybe this weekend? Or the week of spring vacation, maybe?
We had awful winds yesterday, with some gusts of 50mph. Those are winds that can damage.
Robin, I forgot to get a picture of DGS and his DGF. She is super shy; wherever he goes, she is right there by him. Then when we were all together, at the dinner table, we were chatted about past adventures, especially with Grandpa with us, and I got my phone out and showed very old pics of all of us, with the kids small, and I would show her, and she would not say anything. She sure is in the wrong extended family, being shy.
We had very good BBQ ribs that DSIL smoked, and I had to eat 4 tums when I got home, so I know what you mean about not being good eating spicy foods.
Over the years I have as getting older, wake up that early, I just can't help it. That is why I stay up late, so I do not wake up any earlier than that.
Is the kitchen job finished? I hope so. I know exactly what you mean though, with calling in a plumber and ending up with a big bill, whereas DH could do it for at least half that. Yes, there may be a mess during that, but for saving the money, I go with DH doing it, as long as you are confident, he can do it.
Carol, that's great that you kept DGS busy, so were you exhausted when you got home? I would have been. I know what you mean, about the DGK's outgrowing that toddler stage. They start evolving into such cute little people. How fun for them to go to the zoo!! Our spring break is the last week of the month. I will really be looking forward to it, with being short a monitor, it will be crazy at school.
No, the recipe did not call for Rotel. Is that something that would be in a taco recipe?
About the huge blizzard by CA, and NV, that is how it is here too, there are always idiots that think they have the powers to plow through a ton of snow, but nope, they end up being wrong.
One of the reasons I pushed for us to sell the house and move into an apartment was the fact that DH was not in the best shape anymore to do home repairs, so in that respect, I agree with you, by having someone else fix it.
Anngie, you have a very good deal with your Netflix, I was paying more for it per month. Maybe if I was paying what you are, I would have kept it.
This afternoon I will play around with the kettle of soup, with the spices.
I am glad you asked Robin what she is going to wear to the wedding, as I had forgotten, and am curious too.
When DD was cleaning up the kitchen last night, wrapping up ribs for the neighbor, she asked if I wanted to take the brownies home. LOL, no thanks!!! Between knowing they are the most awful thing for me to eat, and being so rich, I do not want them in my apartment!!! I told her to give a good portion to the neighbor.
I was a bit nervous driving home as it was dark by the time I left their house, but I was very careful, and it worked out ok. Looking forward but dreading it also, to the eye appointment a week from Thursday.
Bob called shortly after I finished the dessert, and I was resting my back. We chatted about me making him a chocolate cake, as that is his favorite, so one thing led to another, and I invited him here for dinner this coming Saturday. We left it that if something comes up during the week he needs to attend to, we can reschedule it for a different day, except Sunday, as I am going to DGD's last day of the school musical. I truly appreciate that I can talk about things like wines to him, (his DSIL is getting into making wines so that is a real +) and horoscopes, as he is more educated about them, than most men. If this Saturday works out for the dinner, I will make Baked spaghetti, with garlic bread and the chocolate cake.
