Hello friends!
I guess everyone was busy today. I had my annual gyn appt. this morning with a new office closer to home. I saw the NP and liked her very much. I will need to schedule bone density and mammogram. By the time I got home, the visit summary was in My Chart. Unfortunately, when I reviewed it, I noticed they had documented a cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal) in 2010. What I had was a cheilectomy (bunion correction). I sent a message and they corrected it. I didn't want to show up in the ER with a bad gall bladder only to have them tell me it was removed in 2010. I will review all visit notes carefully after this!
I also contacted my PCP about my sinus issues and he called in an Rx for prednisone, which I hope will do the trick. I am so ready to be done with sickness!
Our weather turned stormy this afternoon and I got caught in it coming back from OT. Even with and umbrella, I got drenched from the waist down, as it was blowing sideways. More expected tonight. Just north of us they have already had 5 inches. I wish we could send it to the Texas panhandle!
Yesterday we had a lovely brunch and visit with DD2. We don't often get to visit with her alone and with all DD1's family around, DD2 doesn't share as much. She told us she is still very concerned about being laid off, as the tech industry seems to be cutting way back. She works for IBM. Her solution is to save up 6 months of expenses + COBRA payments and start looking at some online courses to get certifications in different areas. She is the smartest of our DDs and is very cognizant of the fact that since she is unmarried, it's all up to her.
I hope you are all doing well and just busy. Waving at Ann, in case she stops by!
