DebDoesWW, How's your mom doing? I'm glad doctor has been keeping in touch. I have an IEP writing day today, so I'll be in the building but not directly with the kids. Hopefully they are as good as they were yesterday. Why does no one ever come in when things are going well? We had a great day, everyone sitting at the table, all learning at different paces, using speech devices very well, it was almost textbook perfect! Of course no one saw it, so I'll just keep a snapshot of the day in my head/heart. OK- I have a question for everyone to weigh in on. Misfit needs a middle name! She was trying to get a hair tie today and I was yelling at her and like all good moms I was going to do the complete name. Then I realized she needs a middle name. My two geckos are name for Jim Morrison from the Doors (Mr. Mojo Risen) and David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust). I'd like to keep with the rock and roll theme if at all possible. So far the best I've come up with is Misfit Mercury (Freddy Mercury from Queen). Any ideas?? Sending love and hugs to everyone (((((Reneinitaly))))

I'm IN for TUESDAY!
πreneinitalyπ + πππ.
ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π
Yesterday got sunny and thanks to a "Mom moment" (helping out MissMouse) I got to spend some time with her and in the sunbeams.
Rain's back today <meh>.
There's stuff on my list; let's see what I can get crossed off - preferably without going out in the rain.
Coffee... βββ... morning prayer...
πππππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππππππππππ

(from Stairway to Heaven, verse 4, Led Zeppelin) Sounds like she creates "... a bustle in your hedgerow..."

((( reneinitaly ))) diva49, love it! I'm in. Our commemorative North American Eclipse glasses arrived yesterday. We'll take along our old glasses when we go to Canada and pack them separately, just in case. Can't wait! Enjoy the day!

We were up early and at the dentist for another tooth implant surgery this morning for DH. He's really tired of his tooth problems. Ladies: take care of your teeth when you're young; they have to last you a long time! DH is home and still sleeping. He'll be out of it for most of the day but all went well. hpeterson1951, I like the name that diva49, thought of. Try it out for a few days and see if it fits. doordie50, so exciting you're going to see the eclipse. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate because our weather guessers said most of the US will be overcast that day. (how do they know what's going to happen in a month from now when they are usually wrong about tomorrow! LOL!) You may need to come to Texas where we're supposed to be clear. The preparations in Texas are crazy. Many schools in the eclipse area are closing that day, as well as most businesses. Hotels are all booked (for higher rates) and people are now leasing their properties for viewing. Traffic will be an nightmare. DebDoesWW, I hope you get some answers today. I'm glad your Mom is improving.

Mom is seeing her doc tomorrow. Doing *okay* but not great. Definitely 3 antibiotics is too much for her, one is a combo so two pills but 3 total. I went and grabbed her some Gatorade after my appointment. posterior tibial tendonitis < new label for it π he seemed 80% sure of it, especially when he was pushing on my foot and then peeling me off the ceiling. He saw some cysts on the X-rays that are on (by) the bone that he wants to see on the mRI so I have to go get that disc. He started me on steroids *oh yay* (hide your food everyone!!!) and to just let it keep healing for now and in a month to reevaluate. hpeterson1951 I love the name diva49 picked ! doordie50 totally jealous and want to hide in your suitcase (pack lots of snacks though cause I'm on steroids π€£) linda72 hope DH is feeling better. DebDoesWW , sending lots more prayers and good thoughts for your DMom, THREE gut-traumatizing antibiotics at once?! For an older woman?!?! posterior tibial tendonitis That's quite the name - do you get bonus points for spelling it correctly? Seriously... I hope the steroids get you through the next month.

I have been told so many different things for all I know next time it will be scurvy. π Limes help keep scurvy away and the best way to get your lime intake is through a drink- so sounds like the perfect excuse for margaritas to me!!π€£

((( DebDoesWW , ))) so sorry. I know how rough steroids can be. I'll load up on snacks before we pick you up I hope the docs can do more to get both you and your mom back on track and feeling better. You guys have been through enough! linda72 , I really hope the weather cooperates. There won't be another total eclipse for 20 years! lol We'll be staying right by the big horseshoe on the Canadian side of the falls, and the room has an unbelievable view. It sounds like it will be awesome in Texas. Fun!

DebDoesWW, I'm sorry that your mother still isn't doing well. I can't imagine 3 antibiotics at once. Tendonitis is definitely painful. Hopefully that's the right diagnosis & you'll keep healing.
