This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. Good morning!
Well, not a lot of excitement around here....36 degrees (but not raining), heading out to run with the group. Then will finish packing my suitcase with toiletries, etc., head into work for a couple of hours, and drive to San Francisco to run my afternoon meeting before meeting the group for dinner. Yesterday was an okay day...I am two days back into my tracking commitment and planning to stick with it for a bit. My weight hasn't changed much, but I will have my comprehensive blood panel with my annual TC check up on 4/1/24 (it will be 10 years from that date that that I was diagnosed) and I am kind of curious to see what it looks like. My Deputy Supt said that they had 38 applicants for my job and found 4 to interview so that will be happening on 3/18. I need to schedule my appointment to actually sign my retirement papers. I am going to drive down there and take a picture of it too Not much else going on here....
Carole: Hey, good job not drinking a drop of alcohol on Sunday when family is there. That is a BIG deal to do that when it involves something that usually includes a drink or two. Give yourself a pat on the back! That show that I watch is called Elsbeth and is a CBS show but I watch it on Paramount Plus. I really like it. It is new so you have to wait and watch it once a week (not sure what day). We also like Tracker....that is on Netflix maybe? Oh, how frustrating about looking back on Tracy's care and the doctor's past recommendations. I am ALL for finding a new opinion on some things. Why not? It seems like it is more than once every 4 weeks that she is in there but you all know for sure....uggh. Do you have anything fun planned today?
Sue: Yay for sunshine and a trip to the pool!
Christine: I hope that day #1 of testing was smooth and that today goes well too. Are you driving home this evening? Safe travels if you are.
Jenny: Hoping that your week is off to an okay start....better weather?
Okay, I need to head out. Have a good day ladies!

Good Morning! Doing pretty good here. My Ford Edge is STILL in the shop. 3 or 5 weeks I've lost count. New they are saying it might be under the price train warranty which means Ford would fix for free. I just wavy my car back! Work is getting busy. We met fir breakfast with all of the folks in Knoxville ( the people I used to see in the office) on Friday for employee appreciation day.

Morning Gabrielle and all to come....my nice weather of yesterday is over....today it's rainy and damp but at the least the temps are going to be in the low 50's so won't be too bad. Yesterday we actually had no heat on here at the house or at work...it's getting to that time of year when the sunshine sure does a good job of warming things up. Might need to put the heater on in the office today just to take the chill off...will a block wall office, it's sometimes very, cold and damp on a day like today...will find out when I get there.
No pool tonight because I promised the boys that the next night they were going to be home here I would make Shepherd's Pie...so the ground beef is thawed, potatoes are waiting on the counter for me to peel, cook and mash...easy, peasy dinner and a family favorite!!
Will hopefully get to pop in after dinner tonight....hope all have a great day!!
Will try to at least read the last couple days of posts since I lost my giant post the other night...I had gotten all caught up and then *POOF* it was gone! Not a happy camper at that point so I just turned the computer off so I didn't throw it across the room! LOL!!

Good Morning Gabrielle ~ Thanks for starting us this morning. Hope your run went well, time to think out the day ahead. Glad it's not raining - hopefully your drive to SF won't be in the pouring rain? {{{hugs}}} YAY for getting back to tracking, I went back and tracked Sunday, not too bad after all. Short on protein, but OK on calories, and (of course) over carbs. We look forward to hearing your 10 year blood panel is perfect!
Whoa, only 4 out of 38? Geeze, glad that you are not on the interview team though. Yes... get those papers signed! LOL
Thanks, I felt super proud of my Sunday, and today makes a full 7 days, not drinking! Now to continue?
Jo~ Been thinking about you ♥ Good Lord. 3/5 weeks is too long to not have a car! FREE is always good, but Man, what a long time! Oh nice, having breakfast for Employee Appreciation Day! Nice to be appreciated!
Sue ~ Same here... warmish, but doesn't FEEL warm due to cloudy, drizzle, yuck! BUT at least it's not snow! I put the stove on this morning, just to take the chill off. Oooh, good idea - we like Shepherd's Pie, might be able to use up some leftover potatoes from Sunday!
Sorry for the lost post, I so hate when that happens.
So, Gabrielle, my FUN for today... We were scheduled for a power outage this morning 8:30 - 9:30 AM, but then we were told, by town officials, that it had been moved to Wednesday, due to voting today. Then a local lady called National Grid to confirm, due to her oxygen use, and they said it had NOT changed. So in anticipation of possibly no power at 8:30 this morning, I got up and got ready for my day! I need to leave her around 9 for Injections at 9:30 AM. From there I go to the sleep doctor at 11, then to the bank, finance guy at 1. Lots of time in between that I have to fill. I also want to hit BJs, and possibly drive down to visit Tracy if she is still in the hospital. Oh and Ken will take the bus to meet me in Greenfield, so he can go to the bank meeting with me. We might stop at the kitchen place today, but after all those appointments, we'll have to see about that!
Now I need to get this posted, just in case we lose power, and heat up my breakfast!
Hope you all have an awesome day ladies ♥hugs♥

Evening all...got a little time now to try to catch up some....not sure how long but will do my best. Sarah had a tough day today....she got to work this morning to find out that her "work mom, Paula" lost her son last night on the way home from work...head on collision with a tree and rolled down the bank into a creek/stream. They say he died on impact but they don't know if it was a health event, a deer that rain in front of him, weather related??? They will do an autopsy for more answers. Sad thing, he's only 32 and going through a messy divorce with one son, Landon who is a little younger than Jackson. Apparently the mother is NOT very attentive and if she gets Landon to school on her days he's late, doesn't have work done, etc....since the divorce was not finalized and he hadn't gotten to change beneficiaries she will get everything and Paula fears she will spend it and NOT use it to raise Landon moving forward....I feel so bad for Paula...I've talked to her a couple times but don't know her well but she seems like such a sweet person. Breaks my heart for Paula and her family.
Work was steady as the last MEAP fell and I was still cleaning up the Monday mess....but would rather be busy than twiddling my thumbs. Had a couple hours of peace and quiet since Tonya had an appointment with her endocrinologist about her diabetes.....would love to be a fly on the wall at that appointment to see how she lies about her diet and exercise....she got her labwork back and aside from her cholesterol/triglycerides being up so is her blood sugar and A1C....go figure. With the amount of insulin she takes plus Ozempic and Metformin her blood sugars should be under control....but with all the crap she eats and lack of ANY exercise, I'm sure she will tell the doctor that she is eating all the right things in moderation...blah, blah, blah!! OYE!! I'm sure we'll here all about it tomorrow and how the doctor needs to do more tests to figure out why the meds aren't working, etc....must SMH at her lack of effort to even try to eat better and improve her health???
Gabrielle....glad you got to run Saturday w/o rain, cold is bad enough but cold and wet would be miserable!! I agree, can't imagine being homeless in the weather you are having....heard you are still getting more "weather" in CA....OMG, what a miserable event you had on Friday....I can't imagine standing in that weather listening for to the poet....an hour and 45 minutes is a long time to be hanging out in that kind of weather!! Glad it's behind you now!! When Hannah and Shea added an island in the kitchen at their NJ house they already had black counters but opted for something similar to what you have and that was MUCH better to clean and stay looking clean!! I never heard of Caesarstone...need to google that one!! LOL, one more person I know now that hadn't sealed their granite....might be the perfect way to treat it but don't think anyone finds it necessary! LOL!!
As you know now Gabrielle the show was great on Saturday....Elly and the rest of the cast did a great job. According to Lacey, Elly has been singing, dancing and "performing" since she was little...I know since I've known her she is always humming, singing, etc....she really has found a niche....it's fun to watch her grow int he craft...she was much more confident this year than last year when she played Tessie in "Annie".....she did a great job last year but you really notice her confidence this year!!
Yes Gabrielle....I have been slathering my biopsy site with Aquafor since I took off the pressure bandage they put on when I had it done. They told me to leave it on until morning, then just keep it covered with the Aquafor....it is gradually getting smaller and smaller as the granulation continues to fill in the hole....it was really red and a bit warm on Thursday so that's why I emailed the doctor....that's never happened before so it made me a but nervous....with basal cell carcinoma I'm used to dealing with the removal of moles, patches, etc....this was just different! Thankfully the Aquafor is working and after hitting the pool yesterday is seems fine. I have a tube of Aquafor in the bathroom, by my chair in the LR, at my desk at work...always have it at the ready!!
Carole....thanks for starting us off on Sunday....we had beautiful weather this Sunday too....Jason was in his glory!! I've often thought about buying the "bento boxes" off o Amazon...they look handy to be able to have a little bit of everything for lunch, snacks, etc all in one place!
Honestly Gabrielle, Carole and Jenny....not sure what Josh's thing is with theater and the arts....I look at the actors/performers at Dutch Apple and marvel at their talent.....heck, I look at Hugh Jackman....he's so talented in "Greatest Showman" but he was Wolverine....NOT exactly "prissy" in my book! I just don't get it but that's why we continue to take the boys to Dutch Apple with us.... But then again, Kellen and Jackson are not his "prize boys" because they are not the natural athlete like Colton. Makes me sad that he doesn't love the boys for who they are and not what he things boys/"real men" are supposed to be. Makes me sad for him and the boys.....
Carole...bummer Tracy is still in the hospital all weekend and they seem to do is take tests and throw more meds at her....doesn't sound like they are truly on a mission to get to the route of her breathing issues.... Always nice to have foods cooked ahead of big gatherings so all you need to do is warm them up the day of the event...definitely makes things much more simple!!
