LaDonna Lol. . . I just knew it was wishful thinking on my part. Babies are beyond precious when they sleep, arenβt they? Too cute. . . your baby asleep and his baby asleep.
R has secured a lot of specialized paint equipment for Marty over the years. From what R told me tonight, one of those tools will easily sand the small slats in the vents. M has a special sand blasting machine that gently sands furniture and such. It can abrade the screen. This will save R lots of sanding work. Absolutely β my guy deserves a bit of a break.
After the screen & vents are refinished, I will decide if the brick fireplace will get white washed or stained. If not, then it will be time for me to clean & reseal the ceramic floors. Am getting closer to the finish lineβslowly but surely!

FYI: The filter that Karen used for my photo makes me look like I am wearing make up and dyed my hair. Plz use your imagination to add a few sparkling, silver strands and a crinkles around my eyes from laughter. lol. . . I also noticed this week I am developing a frown βvβ between my eyebrows since Rβs retirement.
Wednesdayβs intentions Make preparations clean & reseal the grout in the kitchen. Finish making some financial work.
This is not my strong suit, but I will look at my existing furniture to see what I can repurpose as I transform my study. I probably will not do this, but I have a Depression era, hard rock maple vanity with a mirror. I am toying with separating the mirror & base. The vanity could become a small desk to replace my large, executive size cherry desk.

It was a surprise to me that I knocked the TB down --- 6 smidgens just disappeared!
Sounds like lots of plans in your future, June. Have fun.
LaDonna, as I watched babies sleep and their eyelids would flutter, I always believed they were dreaming of heaven.
MJ, hope you have a great day and catch some sunbeams as you drink your coffee.
Cathy, may you have internet.
Susi, keeping you in prayer as you heal.
Ann, if you're peaking in I hope it's a great day.
I have to do some errands this morning. Planning to go spend a few days with Mike and his wife.
My sister is doing better eating wise. Her BP drops when she stands or moves, so she is still in IMU (Intermediate Medicall UNit).
Praying for ALL!

Bee Congrats on the your scale victory! Love the idea of babies dreaming of heaven. β€οΈ
Keeping you and your loved ones in my prayers.
Thx! Makes sense to clean the ceramic floors before the new flooring is installed. And it will look quite nice!

Good morning, all!
Prayers still going up for those in the path of storms... many, MANY prayers... there are many, MANY storms... and fires, too, that never seem to go away...
Prayers for all our loved ones who are in particular need... and especially for Susi and Ann...

Yesterday was quite the mix! I scanned and emailed Toots' grand jury summons questionnaire and we have the automated reply that there will be a response in 5 days β
. At MissMouse's request I called the church where the Mice have been attending religious education classes to find out the current policy on transferring the family's parish membership β
. I called the Center for Family Development Office (FKA CCD / Religious Education Office) to find out what certificates MissMouse should scan and upload for the Mice β
. I got my hair cut and this stylist did a great job in a very short amount of time β
. We had a great dinner: chopped steak with gravy, mushrooms, green beans, and mac&cheese β
.
Today will be hectic. Weather-wise we are in between rain events. Right now it's cloudy but that's supposed to change by mid/late afternoon. Toots has a dermaDoc appt at 12:30 PM. He has a squamous cell carcinoma on his left middle finger; today we will discuss treatment (TBH, hoping for MOHS). The Kressling will come in at some point to load up GracieTOO with the YM Have-A-Heart food donation. It's over 214#. We will pick up a local-to-us young YM and have the ceremonial "passing of the spaghetti box" at 5 PM as we drop off the donation at the designated food pantry (the health center is undergoing some renovations - we can accommodate the We Feed director's need to use another site). The rest of the hectic is noted below.
Coffee... βββ... morning prayer...

MπΊB & T: At 8:30 last night, messages from T started dinging in: βοΈ She finished what she was supposed to do "a day early" (and described her multi-day process in agonizingly great detail). βοΈ She seems to think that "I" can now work on things on an EARLIER and SHORTER timeline so that Tessa can start her programming earlier. βοΈ She has also changed the parameters under which I am supposed to work AGAIN - this time apparently some kind of "hybrid" of direct editing and suggestions. βοΈ There may be more, but I was not of a mind (after 8:30 PM!) to pay more than casual attention to the whole string. Since I only skimmed through these multiple messages I must read and process them today, my usual day to start working on MB stuff. I'll start with the two Weeklies, then address the PLF emails. I don't know whether there is a leadership team meeting at 2 PM; it's still on the calendar.

Good morning everyone,
It is rain rain rain today here in the SC midlands today. Temp is not bad at all. I have a hair appt after work today for a C&C - much needed. I'll most likely pick up something to eat on the way home. B - apple sauce and graham crackers L - I'm thinking Subway.
June, I believe I have seen that pic of you before and I absolutely love it! R is a lucky man LOL on that V shaped frown line since Rs retirement. I have been looking into painting our bedroom furniture (not the iron bed but the chests/dressers) - I've seen some that have been painted and they look really nice. Maybe during this summer - I have a lot of things on the back burner that will hopefully come to fruition once we get Laken settled.
Bee, so nice to hear from you and congrats on those smidgens!! I hope your time with Mike and family goes well and your sister continues to hold her own. Prayers for you and your family.
MJ, great job checking off those todo's - wishing Toots the best possible outcome at his derma appt - you are a faithful volunteer for the MB&T I truly hope they appreciate you. Is the 214plus# more than last years donations? Stay safe in the rain event.
Waving to the rest of our friends and I'll cbl.

June - Love the new pic! Yes you are getting there. Bee - Prayers continue for you and yours as well. MJ - It never ends up sounds like the personal stuff went well. LaDonna - Stay dry and carry on. We are getting the same rain, rain, rain Waving to Cathy and Ann
Healing is going extremely well. The bandage is off and I can shower. Still need the sling when walking or sleeping but that's it. Need to start increasing range of motion exercises at home. Staples come out next Wednesday and then I can drive and likely return to work the following Monday.
Yesterday Isabella took a hard fall walking Lily. What is with kids and untied shoe laces! Fortunately, more shocked than hurt. Daria has been released from wound care so next up is when she can go home. Margie is in rough shape. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer (likely metastatic breast cancer) with spots on her liver. Also getting a brain scan. Lots of testing to be done and decisions to make. Prayers appreciated.
S - Usual coffee B - Fried egg on avocado toast w/salsa L - Tuna lettuce wraps D - Chicken jalfrezi over quinoa?

Is the 214plus# more than last years donations? Last year we asked for "double donations" so we could meet our Township commitment AND serve the food bank at Naval Weapons Station Earle (right when the military pay cutbacks had hit). We did 635#; I don't know if THAT will ever happen again .

Need to start increasing range of motion exercises at home. I found that just bending over and letting my arm hang down was really useful for keeping things loose (I was paranoid about "frozen shoulder" - I'd met someone with it). And bending over in the shower to bring my head/hair to the level of both hands for shampooing (so I didn't have to raise "that arm" and could still get a good scalp massage).
Sending many, MANY prayers for Daria and Margie...you are a faithful volunteer for the MB&T I truly hope they appreciate you. Considering that THEY all manage to "talk about changing things up" and then let me know after the fact, I'm more inclined to believe that I am taken for granted .

Susi, glad to hear you are doing so well and will even be heading back to work soon. Ouch on Isabelle's fall. So sorry to hear about Marge - Is Daria ok with going home?..prayers.
MJ, you are a GEM hope they don't realize that when its too late should you decide to bail. Any and all food donations this year will be helpful I am sure.

Hmmmm. . . After reading the various web articles, I decided that the first course of action is simply to give the floor two good cleanings. I will use generic Dawn the first time, then warm water the next time. Then I will see what is what. I may be a-okay with some color variation in the grout of a 30 year old ceramic floor.
Susi Wonderful, wonderful follow-up report from the surgeon. Will continue to pray for your speedy and smooth recovery.
Oh my goodness. . . I must have totally put any news of Margeβs cancer completely out of my mind. (I apologize, but I can do that sometimes). I will add her to my prayers. Am encouraged to hear that Daria can soon leave the hospital. Will pray that her path forward opens up quickly.
Glad that Isabella wasnβt hurt when she fell. I am the queen of untied shoelaces. . . A shoe salesmen one explained that the shape & materials of modern laces are contributing factors. Plus I tend to pull my knot to the side & step on the lace. lol. . . R often ties or reties my shoes.
MJ Sending good vibes Toots way. Funny, I have a spot on the same finger as Toots. It just popped up a week ago. I need to get it frozen. Kudos on another successful YM food drive. Collecting over 200 lbs of foodstuffs is quite impressive. Bless those who gave so generously of their $$, time, and βbacksβ to make it happen. Would love to be a fly on the wall of the leadership meeting today. Would be nice if T or MB had that same sense of urgency at the early planning stages.
LaDonna I may have posted that picture on FB. K took it for my Venmo account. I look a lot like my Mom, but I am happy to see that. My DS, Karen, and her son, Ross, are fans of painting furniture chalk white. The results are quite lovely. And the pieces look βfreshβ and versatile. lol. . . I wish there was a furniture exchange. Where individuals could swap some pieces. We have an antique brass bed. I stopped polishing it years ago!
