This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph.

This is a time to get organized to reduce stress and frustrations... 3.) Drink more water....even if it's hard...make it a priority...a continued "work in progress" for me!! 4.) Get to the pool....it makes me feel good, it's my happy place...no excuse!! Shoot for 3 days a week to start!! 5.) Be kind to ME!! Remember you can't be all things to everyone especially if you don't take care of you first!!

Well that was a BUST! OYE! They said 8:30 - 9:30, so schools had delayed opening, the diner and the store also had delayed openings... the power was out 2 minutes, if even that long! Geeze... Not complaining, but what a lot of fuss over nothing!
Sue: UGH How horrible for Paula! I hope for her sake she can still have contact with the grandson. As for Tonya... good luck! HOW do you bite your tongue - when she starts eating the crap? Oh we saw Caesarstone yesterday. I can't tell a difference between that, Quartz or Granite! LOL It is very sad that Josh doesn't see the boys for WHO they are... God forbid Colton decide sports are not his thing.
Tracy is being released today. Usually after lunch is when they get everything done and get them out the door! Her dizziness has cleared up, and she slept good last night. Moving isn't as much of a struggle, and she has been eating/drinking more since I brought some stuff to her Monday! I swear all she needed was more protein and water! Oh, Monday night, they brought her spaghetti & meatballs... with broccoli. When she opened it, it was 1/2 c of plain white spaghetti... no sauce... no meatballs... just spaghetti, with 1/2 c broccoli! When she questioned it, all they said was, we don't know why there was no sauce or meat! So after "dinner", she had a protein shake and a protein/fruit bar, that I had brought her. UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Had my follow up with sleep doctor, should be hearing from the CPAP supplier soon. I do need CPAP, but not the full nose/mouth mask. Mine will be nasal only! WOO HOO! Of course the machine keeps track of what happens through the night, so the doctor can go into the computer and see if it's helping or not. There is also an app that I will download, so I will get more info than the machine shows on the screen. I'm anxious - both in a good and bad way over all of this, but hopefully it will help me to feel better!
Then met with Matt, will get the paperwork filled out, and get the documents I need to send in and get the monthly pension checks coming in. IF one of us lives 13 years, we will have collected the whole amount, anything over 13 years is a "bonus" as this is a lifetime disbursement! I'm not sure we "need" it right now. but I want to start it all, and if we don't need to use it, it will pay down the equity line. Today I will look at my 401k, but thinking I will hold off on that for now. Let it keep adding up? While at the bank I went upstairs to see everyone and we got to talking about me possibly helping out part time. In our combined department office, all three departments are short staffed. Oh and Jess never did get a promotion... but she is definitely overworked! When Sarah in Digital left, recently, they dumped what I had been doing, that I turned over to Sarah, back on Jess. She was never properly trained. Anywho... Crystal texted me this morning, she was in a meeting with another department manager, and their bosses, and I guess they are interested in my working PT! Sorry, rambling - bottom line, I don't want to start any disbursements from 401k until I know what PT work might look like for me. I don't want to start "earning" too much and have my SS taxed/lowered LOL I'll need to think this through, maybe even before deciding to take the pension right now. OYE VEY!
OK Time to get my day going here. Nothing really on the agenda except cooking/prepping food for the next few days. I am having Eden tomorrow, so Jaclyn can go to work. My sister Mary is having cataract surgery again tomorrow, and Eden chooses to not go with them for that this time. So I won't get much done around here tomorrow! LOL Well worth the trade off though ♥
♥hugs♥

Good morning
Today is the last day for long hours and I’m so happy, I can go back to my regular wake up time now. Audrey made it safe to Salt Lake City, she went with her class in college to go learn some new moves, it looked like there were a lot of them going. She’s actually in Ogden, I googled the picture of the town and it looks really pretty. I hope she’s having fun, I think she flys home this weekend sometime.
We got Sammy cat back from the heavenly wings people, he’s now in a little box and I can put him up on the shelf with my Bella kitty I had to have put down. I’m glad he’s home with us now even though he passed.
It is really cold up here, but, it’s nice and sunny and I can see all the snow in both Mt ranges, WWOW made it to work today, it was 26 degrees at her house and it got down to 30 here last night, I had frost on my car this morning but it’s nice and dry right now. It will start raining again this weekend.
I’ve been using my walking Matt often, I went 30 min on it on Sunday, it’s pretty handy to have around.

Carole yeh! To Tracy coming home, have they found out anything on how to keep her healthy and not having to go to the hospital so much? I would think they would run extensive tests to see what’s wrong.
You might go back to part time work? I don’t know if I could do that. If you can work from home it wouldn’t be to bad I guess. Have fun with Eden tomorrow night.
Sue sorry to hear about Sarah’s friends son, that’s always so tragic to loose someone in vehicles or machinery.
I’m hello to Christine, Gabrielle, Jo and Karen

Quick HI as my work day winds down....been steady but nothing pressing!! It's dreary and getting ready to pour buckets, just in time for me to head to the Y for a swim....I would much prefer to head home to my pj's but I'll go....I know I feel better when I do.
See you when I get back home!!

Quick hello - I worked. 3 days in Fulton County to fit in all 9 students! Weather looked nice on Monday but overcast by the time I left their school. I was beat - it rained Tuesday and dense fog driving through the mountains to and from the hotel- glad I don’t have to deal with that every day! The drive back home was okay - heavy rain around Pittsburgh and again as I neared home. Just glad to have some time to unwind this evening.
I’m ready to start back using my TM each morning then working on reports. I might be scarce here with posts but I try to read each day what each of you are up to -
Carole - I went with Quartz - the price difference was not that much more for the quality of what we got - I am very pleased! Very easy to keep clean and recommended by chefs/ bakers! LOL Just don’t plop a hot pot on it (but I never would with any surface!) so keep plenty of cute turrets around

Afternoon all...change of plans for the pool....will now go tomorrow instead. Kelly, the PA from the dermatologist office called just before I left work and her message said to call back and she was there until about 5:00...by the time I got through to the office, talked to her and would get to the Y it would be about the time I would normally get out of the pool so opted to just go tomorrow instead....ran a couple errands I was going to do tomorrow and then came home. Now I can catch up....
Jenny....sorry your Sunday started with more snow and cold weather. Now I see why you've been doing all the running for your parents....hope you sister enjoyed her cruise!! We've been to that part of Mexico....it's pretty and nice this time of year. This time of year is always the time we like to cruise that direction and enjoy the "summer weather" knowing that it takes a chunk out of our winter and we come back refreshed knowing only a few more weeks to deal with cold and weather...... Oh no, bummer for the tummy issues....glad whatever it was only lasted a short while....seafood can be a touchy thing.... Glad you are getting time back on your walking mat again...good job. I will say, I am starting to really notice good things about my clothes fitting better since being back in the pool...nothing major and nothing great on the scale but I'm feeling a bit stronger and toned so that's a positive thing!! I think 3 days during the work week is a good goal....I'm pretty consistent with 3 days/week, occasionally 4!
Gabrielle....3 inches of hail!! That's crazy!!! Did you get any pictures....I can't imagine what that even looks like!! Glad the low snow didn't materialize as predicted!! Sounds like getting all your errands done on Saturday was a good thing so you could hunker down and stay inside on Sunday!! Sorry you had to drive to SF alone in the rain, not fun!! By now you will be winding things down in SF and soon heading home....hope the traffic isn't too bad for you!! We love "Monk"....we never saw it originally because we didn't have that channel but they aired it on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries so we have seen them all on there. I never watched "The Good Wife" myself but I know others that liked it....what is the new show called....if it's like Monk, I'm sure I would like it!!
Gabrielle...I often take "bento box" kind of lunches but I have many containers or baggies with different things in them.....I think I might just invest in the bento boxes...heck, even in retirement I can make up a bunch of lunches for the week and just leave them in the fridge to grab any day....I know I can’t convince Jason to do anything like that, he would rather drag everything out every day and fix it one at a time....NOT me!!
Carole....can you share the bento boxes you bought please???
Gabrielle...thanks for starting us off on Monday!! Can't wait to hear how your new assistant's first day went...I'm sure a bit overwhelming, especially since you were leaving on Tuesday for a couple days.....I'm guessing she did not go with you!! Yes, my skin does seem to be improving each day with the new cream and the two meds.....

Carole...Monday sure was a gorgeous day....it was so nice Sunday and Monday....warm sunshine, light breeze instead of the gusty winds we have been having....it's not that way the last couple days....as you saw from the sun roof pictures I shared of Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning....we did have sunshine on Monday....it was a perfect spring day but by 9:00pm the rains, winds, etc moved in and Tuesday was YUCK again!! They are saying tomorrow and Friday are to be about 60° and mostly sunny before the rains come back on Saturday....I hope so....Sunshine is nice!! WTG on a "family day" without alcohol....that's awesome!! Sounds like even though you weren't "feeling it" early in the day day it turned out OK in the end!!
Oh....proud Grandma moment ladies....Colton had his HS baseball tryouts this week....I texted him to see how the thought he did and he said "pretty good"! Well, he made Varsity team as a freshman so I say he did great!! I told him to send me his schedule so hopefully Jason and I can see a game....Josh won't send one because as Jenny says "he's a putz"! He complains that we turned our back on Colton but when we ask for info.....NOTHING!! Well, you can't have it both ways!! UGH!!
Carole...hopefully you will be able to make a few updates to your kitchen that won't break the bank...kitchens are definitely the most expensive room to update for sure but as much as you use your kitchen you need it to be functional and up to date. Karen and Bobby did the same thing with their fridge....they wanted a full size but it it would stick out too far from the counter tops so they bumped back into the wall behind it a few inches so they could get a full size that looks like counter depth. Our newest fridge is the smaller counter depth....still lots of room but the "new" one that we moved to the basement is full size....it used to be sitting in the open so it didn't matter....now the fridge is built in so we needed to go with the counter depth...unfortunately the logical place for the fridge we weren’t unable to bump back the 3-4 extra inches to get the full size!! Yes, your island is a big one....ours is likely the same surface area but ours is longer and narrower.....if I remember right, yours is a bit more "square" than ours! It really is amazing how much difference just a few inches makes....we shortened ours by 9" to make for a better "walking/working flow" around it and it make a world of difference.... Hopefully you and Ken can come to some workable compromises that works for everyone!!
Carole....I would be PI$$ED at the pulmonologist at this point...OK, I get that the procedure he/she didn't want to do it years ago maybe because of her age or whatever but as the years went by and things didn't improve and then got worse why was it not brought up again until it got to the point it's "too late"....I call Bull Sh!t on that one!!! Hopefully Tracy will let you come along and if needed be the more vocal advocate for her!! I'm sure she doesn't want to be "that patient" but this is ridiculous!!
LOL....don't you hate when you get sucked into watching reruns of old shows....ever now and then it happens to me...not a bad thing on a Friday or Saturday night but on a work day it kills me!! I'm yawning by noon!!
Gabrielle....thanks for starting us off yesterday and glad you got in a run in the "dry" but chilly weather before heading to work for a couple hours before trekking to SF. Good job getting back on the "tracking train" and preparing for annual labwork. I can't believe it's been 10 years since your diagnosis. I'd be curious about what things look like at this point too....all good, positive thought coming your way!! WOW 38 applicants and only 4 worth interviewing?? Are any of them co-workers that hounded you about reading their resume??? 3/18 is just around the corner.....hopefully they will find a capable applicant but either way, if they don't, you will still retire!!! Not your circus!! OK, I'm confused, I thought you already submitted your retirement paperwork?? What did I miss??
Jo....so good to see you pop in!! Glad you are doing well...holy moley, what's the hold up with your car!! It's been weeks and still nothing??? Glad work is keeping you busy and you had a nice breakfast with your former team members!!
Carole....glad Sunday's tracker didn't look as bad as you thought it might! WOO HOO on 7 days w/o alcohol....you met the challenge you set for yourself of an entire week alcohol free and you did it!! I knew you could!! Now the key is to be mindful of it....do you need it, NO, none of us need it.....do you want it, YES but why do you want it....do you want it to celebrate a special occasion....do you want to enjoy it with a nice dinner....or do you not know why you are drinking it.....mindless drinking or "habit" drinking is the stuff to be mindful. Alcohol is not the enemy but is something to be mindful of.....I've seen all sides of the alcohol/addiction situation.....when it becomes a mindless habit....the problem but enjoying a drink or two on "occasions" is not the issue....
So Carole....did you make Shepherd's Pie?? We used to make it a lot when the girls were here but when it got to be just the two of us, it was one of those meals that was "too big" for only 2 of us....I always made the "family of 6" batch since that is how I learned as a kid and when the girls were here it was fine because Jason and I ate the few leftovers for lunches but then when it got to 2 of us...it was a lot of leftovers and mashed potatoes do NOT freeze well in leftovers so I didn't make it for YEARS....Kellen asked for it one day shortly after they moved in here and Jason and I have been loving it! A perfect comfort meal for me!!
Carole....it's been a long time since I lost a big post but I was so p!ssed I wanted to throw my laptop!! I know, not the end of the world but I was just about done and ready to hit "create post" and *POOF* it was gone!!
WOW Carole....you sure crammed a lot into your Tuesday but honestly, as annoying and overwhelming as it seems, I like getting lots done in one day so you don't have to deal with it over multiple days!! One day and DONE!!
LOL Carole....love you 2 minute lack of power....so glad the schools, restaurants, stores, etc delayed their openings for 2 whole minutes!! Gotta love it!! Yes, my heart breaks for Paula.....while I know you lost Matt and I know others who have lost children to cancer and other illnesses, to have a healthy son, thriving in life and then gone in a random accident....I can't imagine.
Oh...don't even get me started on Tonya and her diet....Gloria and I are done saying anything to her about diet and choices, even when we chat to each other about things we are trying to avoid or change, she puts her head phones on so she can't hear us! LOL!! Today after seeing her endocrinologist she had waffles with 3 syrup packs, then at lunch had roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy, probably 1 1/2 cups of potatoes swimming in gravy...then ate a package of M&M's, a bag of pretzels, a pile of jellybeans and a 12 container of orange juice!! And she wonders why she can't get her sugars under control???
Finally...so glad Tracy is getting "sprung" from the hospital!! OMG....what a sh!t show the food was...yes, I do wonder is her diet or lack there of was a problem....if she is used to getting a certain amount of proteins, fats, carbs and water in her diet with the program and then she was NOT getting that, she would get a headache, she would get dizzy, etc....that explains all those symptoms but still no one seems to be wanting to get to the bottom or here chronic breathing issues. Yes, I know she had damage in her one lung from the prior fire damage but there still has to be something to improve her breathing in spite of the deficit....I know several people with one lung or partial lung capacity that have great ventilation with what they have remaining....I hope she does talk to her PCP about getting to Worcester or Boston for someone to really take an interest in resolving this chronic hospitalization issues. There has to be something out there to help her!!!
OK....gotta fly!! Jason has 20 questions!!
Sweet dreams all....
