Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning! (((Hugs))) Tried another new recipe last night. www.skinnytaste.com/recipe-index/?_search=Turmeric-mango+shrimpBoth of the recipes - kale/egg casserole & turmeric/garlic shrimp - are keepers. The shrimp one would be great for in summer. Hmm, wonder if could change out shrimp for other seafood or chicken? Sounds good to me and yes, I will try it. My stacks of paper, tipped me over yesterday. Mostly recipes, a few medical searches and a pile for recycling bin. Joy - how did you lower your carb intake? Just like when starting ww, its been eye-opening on my carb intake. I've started halving my serving of fruit, especially bananas. Cleaned out refrig freezer and I found enough frozen bananas to make banana bread, 4x. Off to get the day movin' in the right direction. Wishing you a good day(((Hugs)))

Good night all. Just checking in for a bit. Yesterday was a tough travel day. DH had issues with his legs sitting in the middle seat on the way to Charlotte. Then we had a very short turn around between flights and turned out it was a 16 min almost jog between where we came in and where we left. Practically between terminals. And the gate agent was nasty about asking for a wheel chair because we knew I’d never make it walking/running. We got one finally and I got pushed and Stan walked it keeping up with us. Then we got to Myrtle Beach and the rental car place. Our TA had gotten a “manager’s special” price for us $160 for the 5 days and they wanted us to take a RAM 500 pickup. Tires about 3’ tall and impossible for us to get in/out of. Counter help was not able to make a change but the manager (we think) brought the pick up to us, looked at us a few times, made a phone call and got us a Chrysler Pacifica. It’s almost identical to younger DD’s new car, except hers is a plug in hybrid and this one isn’t. But it’s a really nice car. Then got to the condos and couldn’t figure out how to get in and it was pouring rain. But the condo is very nice, having just been refurbished. New furniture, carpet, drapes, decorations, appliances, etc. so very nice.
Met our friends for brunch this morning and then went to their condo for dinner tonight. Had a nice visit. Tomorrow they are coming over to our area and we are going to explore a big touristy area near here. Then go out to a seafood dinner.
Ok, listening to hockey, watched the State of the Union and need to do a couple things before the 3rd period starts. Have a great Friday. I’ll try to get on when I can. And try not to bring home a bunch of junk for clutter!
