This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning and HAPPY THURSDAY!
We Have SUNSHINE! WooHoo!! I'm so happy to see it that I think I'm going to switch gears today and walk on the lake path instead of hit the gym. I feel like I need the fresh air and sunshine more today. I suppose technically, I could do both but they're in exact opposite directions with my house sitting right in the middle. So that would be a lot of driving that I don't really feel like I want to do. But first, it's coffee time. Haha.
Janet - On NO! How terrible. I hadn't heard about the students. I'm sorry that happened and that it impacted your ride home. How scary.
Susie - Sounds like a fun and productive day to you! How fun with Bingo and PRIZES! Yay! If we keep this up they'll be changing Taco Tuesday to Taco Wednesday, even though it doesn't sound right. Haha!
Robin - our chicken and Mexican cauli-rice were really good. Tonight I'm taking the remainder of the shredded chicken (I cooked it all together, but only seasoned 1/2) and I'm tossing it in a little no sugar added BBQ sauce and will serve it over lettuce for a BBQ Chicken salad. I made jar of Alabama White Sauce that we'll drizzle over as an additional "dressing".
Welp, I'm going to finish my coffee and get myself ready to head out. I'm super looking forward to my lake path walk. There is A LOT of activity at the eagle nest right now. The "baby" has found her wings and is flying in and out of the next multiple times a day. She's also reportedly HUGE. As in bigger than her pappa. The next watchers have named her "Big Wu". Wu is the Chinese word for 5, and she is the 5th baby that this pair have raised in this nest. Maybe I'll get to see some activity.

Hello All - well, I went to WW and was able to weigh in and be FREE after 2 months of paying because I didn't go (because I knew I would be over goal). Now I just have to stay on track and lose the couple of pounds I have put on in the past 2 months.
I walked with DD and had 2 meetings at the clubhouse (St Patrick's Day party committee and Care Team committee).
Lora - the sun is out here and it is lovely, but a little windy so cooler than one would think. Enjoy your walk.
Janet - Shocking about the shootings!! Be careful.

Hi again!
Well, my lakeside walk was wonderful! Just a very slight breeze, temp in the mid 60s, just a few clouds, vibrant blue sky! The ducks, geese and the seagulls were all actually hanging out and getting along...Lol. No sign of the eagle family while I was there, but that's okay. I enjoyed my outing completely.
Susie - congrats on being back to free! My weight loss has been a little slow lately, but I'm still losing as opposed to gaining. I'm down 27 lbs. since I started at the gym 9 months ago. I'm perfectly happy with slow, but steady progress. I'm glad I don't have to sweat those weigh-ins any more. They used to give me so much anxiety. Even after the last time that I raised my goal weight, it was still always 50/50 for me...Lol.

Hi Everyone,
Lora, glad that it was finally a sunny day and that you got to go to the lake today. It rained a lot yesterday and I think all weekend it's going to be raining. They say the car is estimated to be ready on Monday. I hope it will be because due to the Head Start review next week except Monday taking time off isn't permitted except I guess if it was a situation like my coworker.
She needed to leave this morning to go over to her dad's house to help her sister who has just had it already. She wants to take this night job of being with her father through some agency. I don't know how she can function doing two jobs when she can't even get enough sleep to do one full time job. She can't afford to lose her current job.
Tommorow is Friday at least. Since I don't have my car and it's supposed to rain pretty much all weekend I don't really have plans. I have a book I was reading that I guess I will finish and start a different one. Nothing too exciting really. Have a good night !!
