I didn't watch it, and I don't intend to. But I want to thank all of you who did and are sharing your reviews here.

dar1965, NatureLover, The problem with getting insurance is the meds are so expensive employers can't afford to have them in their insurance plans. I think the State of North Carolina won't cover them in their insurance plan because of the expense. They wanted to cover them but put in restrictions on who could take them but then they'd lose their discount and still couldn't afford them.

Well, I watched it. Lacked depth, seemed like an infomercial. Didn't agree with some of the stuff the doctors said. I watched it, too. Nice stories. Skimpy interviews with various experts. IMO, Sima missed a BIG opportunity (unless it got edited out) to "sell" not only the benefit of community but also of a (theoretically) balanced eating plan to go hand-in-hand with pharmaceuticals. Perhaps Sima took the opportunity to market herself to another company, probably in health insurance or pharmaceuticals. Sima’s board term ends in 2025, 3 years before WW’s 1 billion dollar debt is due. She has a genuine talent for finding the exit before the roof caves in. She had exceptional timing in selling Houseparty before they ran out of funding and got hacked.

Well, I actually liked the special, although the one minute mention with Sima promoting Weight Watchers was laughable. When she said WW is all about promoting community, I couldn't believe it. Weight Watchers has drifted so far from "community" it is pitiful. I would bet my retirement check that this is the last time Oprah really talks about weight Watchers. She has moved on, and good for her.

Weight Watchers has drifted so far from "community" it is pitiful. Covid sure did not help, the virtuals gave folks a way not to get into their cars and drive to a location. I love my live workshops. Only 20% of members are Monthly pass...80% are digital. As I see it, ww is focusing on the masses and trying to create community there. Should they keep paying for store fronts when most are closed more than they are open? A location closed about 20 miles from me, it was a store front, open 7 hours a week. What sense does that make? Do I like the changes? No. But does anyone ever consider that the decisions that were made are financial? Our salon sure coukd not survive if it was only open 7 hours a week.

I have heard that there is a part 2 to this special that features audience participation. From what I've been able to figure out it is on Hulu under episodes. I can't confirm this because we don't subscribe to Hulu.

I am just going off of Ozempic - I lost weight but at a cost. Alot of anxiety and fatigue. I feel like it took a year from my life - BUT I also can't eat as much as I used to and I do believe it conditioned me to not eat as much. When you are on the meds, you have constant GI issues. I had diarrhea constantly - my blood showed that I was depleted. I gained back 19 pounds of the 60 I lost, joined ww and now down six pounds since signing up. I have no desire to gain the weight back. I am looking to renewed energy and my personality back again.

Robbie, thank you for posting. I am sure there are many with side effects from these drugs and I wonder how many will gain back what they lost when they stop the drugs. Good luck keeping the weight off.
