Good morning to all - Enjoying a quiet day at the office. Im meeting Randy, Haley and the baby for lunch in a little while. Grandpa went fishing with his brother Weekend will be busy finalizing some things with Lakens house and spending time with the baby on Sunday. My house is in need of a cleaning but I'm hoping the new cleaning person will contact me. Havent heard a word from them yet. I think I mentioned my girl that was doing it got married and moved to Charleston. She recommended someone who'd do it for the same monthly price.
June, Enjoy your day where ever it leads you
Susi, sorry to hear your exercises have been rough but if they produce the best possible outcome I know you will persevere.
B -applesauce

Checking in...getting close to 7pm and I wonder where the day went. We did run errands, took the shoes to be repaired (five dollars per pair so doable), bought produce and a rotisserie chicken, and did a few other things. I walked for thirty minutes and am almost finished with a book so will write that review then move on to the next book. I have a potluck on the 19th and a baking event making yeast bread on the 25th so will be busy this month.
I can use the momentum from today's OP day to keep on keeping on tomorrow.
Susi: Hope the exercises get easier. Listen to your body and don't overdo things. How are your furry family members handling your situation?
LADONNA: How fun to get to spend time with your granddaughter. Hope your cleaning team are available. How much more needs to be done on Laken's house? Is she able to live in it now?
JUNE: You always sound so busy with all you do at work and with the updating of your home!
Hope everyone has something to look forward to this weekend!

Wednesday Went Wild. Sounds like an adult movie, but there are no ticket sales or residuals. Toots' dermaDoc appt went fine; there will be MOHS on his L middle finger on 3/30 (hoping to get cardioDoc to drop blood thinners the week before). The Kressling and another (very young) YM delivered the food donation in the pouring rain. The symbolic Passing of the Pasta was done indoors. MissMouse sent pictures of the long-term water leak in her living room. It's not coming from where the contractor thought it was (and kept "fixing" and it didn't fix it). It's coming from where "I" said it was - but I didn't remind her of that. Good news is that it didn't damage her new pantry cupboard, just the ceiling sheetrock.
Thursday. <mmm>. Thursday. IN-ter-est-ing. THURSDAY. It was gray and chilly but no rain so things around here are starting to dry out. We took a ride down to the Army/Navy surplus store and I got a few BDU pieces and also ordered a few others that may or may not arrive in time for Sunday's parade. On the way home we stopped at Jersey Mike's to get something for lunch. Dinner was roast chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and mixed vegetables - real comfort food.
Today? Toots got a response from the grand jury assignment office; they say that they can accommodate his hearing loss. I am not convinced. We're getting letters from his audiologist and our PC. Part of the order came in at the Army/Navy store so we picked it up.
Coffee... βββ... morning prayer in a sunbeam...

MπΊB & T: After hours of "doing what I do" on the TWELVE emails in this bundle, I told T that I felt disrespected because AT NO TIME (before she dropped the files on a day when I had no time to work on them) did it come up that maybe I needed to adjust my whole schedule to accommodate the sheer volume of work. I told her that I TRUSTED that the email she sent out last week was an accurate representation of the timeline (she / they-all have SO WOEFULLY UNDERESTIMATED the time required - yet again). I told her that I was angry. She said she "rattled on" about the 12 emails. Well, she may have - to MB and V and Tessa - but NOT TO ME. I get my information from the leadership team meetings (that were canceled throughout February). She "forgets" to tell me things. <meh>. Next week there will be 17 emails (multiple files, cross-referenced). NONE are started yet. PLEASE NOTE: I am not "stressed" - I am ANGRY.
