This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning and Yay for Friday!!
I say Yay, but of course the rain is back today. Lol. Today & tomorrow and then we're supposed to get the sun back Sunday and it's supposed to stay that way for the first part of the week. DH is working on base today and then has his get together with the guys afterwards. I need to get to the gym, but I'm not really feeling it. IDK what's wrong with me this week, but the gym is just not topping my list. I think it's the weather making me feel kind of blah. I know that gorgeous weather yesterday surely did have a positive impact on my brain!
Janet - I agree, the 2nd night job does seem like A LOT for your co-worker. I guess she's thinking that she can do anything temporarily. And it sounds like his situation is definitely temporary. But I also know that taking care of a family member who is actively dying is VERY draining on your physical and emotional state. My heart goes out to her.
Well, I really just popped on to get us started. maybe after this coffee I'll get motivated to get my booty to the gym. I know that once I get there, everything will be fine. I just need to get myself there. haha.

Good afternoon all.
Sorry I haven't been around. The plague has continued. I am starting on steroids to hopefully knock this out once and for all. I also have to see an ENT next week since this ear infection doesn't want to clear up.
Fortunately work has been pretty slow so while I haven't been working every day, just when I feel well enough I am not too behind.
Not a whole lot going on with me - we have been staying in so I don't get anyone else sick. I am starting to feel a bit restless so I am hoping that is a sign that I am starting to get better. Daddy has been staying in NC and seems to be doing very well.
My DD is coming over tonight and she and I are going to have a little bonfire and hang out. Speaking of DD, she and her BF bought some baby chickens and will be building a chicken coop this weekend for them. I don't know anything about raising chickens. They seem pretty excited about it.
I hope you are all doing well and hopefully I can start posting more regularly.

I did it! I got my booty to the gym! Yay ME!
As soon as I got home my phone rang and it was MIL. She's in the ER. IDK what the heck, but apparently she got up this morning feeling pretty good, and then out of nowhere her knee swelled up like crazy and she couldn't get herself out of the chair. FIL was asleep in the bedroom and couldn't hear her calling b/c he didn't have his hearing aids in, so it took about 45 minutes for her to rouse him. Then he couldn't barely help her get up out of the chair. She called the Orthopedic center where she was yesterday for her hip and back check, but they wouldn't/couldn't see her, so she went to the ER. She said it just swelled up out of nowhere. This happened a couple of years ago and they had to drain her knee, and I'm pretty sure she didn't know the cause then either. So, they're doing scans and xrays and I guess she'll let me know. Always something.
After hearing from her, I'm exponentially glad that I got myself to the gym. Protecting future health and mobility is top priority in my life.
Jana - so good to see you posting! OMGosh! I can't believe you're still battling the crud. Hope it clears up soon. That's just nuts. I'm a little jealous of DD and her chickens. I'd love to do that, but I think I love the idea of it more than I would the reality of it. haha! I am going to grow some tomoatoes and peppers this summer though. That's about as farmy as I'm going to get for the m moment. Lol

Hello All - got to my gym class this morning - we did a circuit training - then walked with DD. I had to run a couple of errands and then played Hand & Foot. I have a free entree at Panera, so that may be dinner. Tomorrow is the neighborhood coffee, so I just got all the fruit ready to take up tomorrow morning and I bought the milk, etc for the coffee yesterday, so I am all set.
Lora - like you said, good thing you got to the gym 'cause DMIL may call you at any time.
Jana - so go to hear from you....sorry you are not feeling well...nothing is good when you are not at your best. Feel better soon - hopefully the steroids will work.
Waving to everyone... the weekend is here! Of course it is calling for rain all day tomorrow here too.

Susie - Sounds like you have yourself fully organized for the coffee. Good for you!
DH went by the ER after work instead of meeting the guys. He's still there. Looks like they're going to keep her at least overnight for pain management. She's complaining of a great deal of pain. He sent his father home and said he'll stay there until she gets settled for the night. I'm not sure that he understands that hospitals move at glacial pace sometimes, so he might be there all night if he's waiting for her to get a room. He's been up since 4am, so I'll be worried until he gets home safely. I'm not sure how this is going to impact our weekend. IDK if his brother is going to help out or not. He's certainly closer than we are, but so far today it's just been DH, so IDK. Oh...and they found absolutely nothing on the scans or xrays. The Dr. thinks she twisted her knee...which is entirely possible. She has an orthotic she's supposed to wear in her shoe because since she broke her hip about 6 years ago, she has one leg shorter than the other. Well she almost never wears shoes in the house, so she's always unsteady and teetering...which is also putting strain on her hip and knee joints, I would think. But what do I know about it, right?
We kind of had plans for tomorrow. Not anything elaborate but since it was supposed to be rainy and icky we planned for a date day at home. We were going to rent a movie and have "fun food" for supper. Not sure it this will change that plan or not yet. We'll see.
