What can you do to lose or manage your weight and to stay healthy?

Obviously, I technically didnβt make it back on Friday for personals. But I havenβt hit the hay yet. . . So. . .
Susi Both the surgery and PT can really sap your energy. Hope that you feel rested after you sleep. Hard to believe that you are already in that second week of post-op. Hang in there as you balance PT, some daily activities, and rest. You got this!
Cathy You certainly were βpretty in pinkβ when you wore your new sweater! Loved the contrasting black pants and top with the coordinating necklace. Glad that you could find a very affordable repair for your new booties. Just finished a YA book, βThe Dark Fableβ which loosely built on Celtic lore. Was a good read with interesting characters and plot twists. The author thanked her beta readers. Have you ever played that role? Or do you review for potential readers?
I have two open projects right now: second grout scrubbing w/ DIY cleaner and revisiting the fireplace door color. The high-heat, satin black is a significant improvement over the dated antique brass. But I want to see if a bronze or brown might be better. lol. . . I have 6 cans of spray paint here. <meh> Will literally βseeβ whatβs what.
LaDonna Ugh. . . It is frustrating when service providers do not get back in touch. It makes me leery of hiring them, too. Hope the cleaner contacts you soon. Know that you enjoyed a grandparentβs lunch with Hayley and Renee! Is Laken down to that final list of projects? Is there a potential moving date or window of time?
Mj Glad to hear that Tootsβ scheduled for a Mohs procedure. Could that surgery get him out of jury duty? Do the courts have closed captioning devices for hearing impaired? I wonder. Congrats on the conclusion of another successful food drive. GL with getting all the DB pieces together.
Grrrr. . . You have every right to be angry with T. MBβs and Tβs lack of operational planning and communication shouldnβt mean you must suddenly produce a boatload of materials. T. needs a wake up call.

I am the same weight for three days, tracking, staying positive, etc. Hope to talk to our daughter tonight if the internet cooperates. The shoes are home and look better than when I took them from the shop. We had a one pot meal for lunch that had rice, onions, garlic, tomato paste, 7-spice seasoning, bouillon cube, leftover chickens and garbanzo beans with zucchini for vegetable and some yogurt with garlic on top. Dinner will be leftovers made into soup with something to go with it. I woke from a deep sleep with a start this morning and couldn't go back to sleep so wake-time was 5:15...hoping sleep-time will be earlier than midnight tonight.
Thank you all for the positive comments on the pink sweater photo. Not a color I usually wear and I usually avoid pink, too, but...sometimes one does what one does. One person online said pink is big right now due to BARBIE.
JUNE: I have done beta reading before but am so far behind in reading ARC's (advanced readers copies) that I have not been doing the BETA reading like I once did.
SUSI: Glad Isabella is there to help out with Lily and the furry family members. How long is it supposed to take for the healing to finish for you?
LADONNA: I don't think I have ever gone out for hibachi...when I hear the word I think of a friend of my parents' that had a tiny little barbecue he called a hibachi that he grilled some meat on.
Hope EVERYONE has something to look forward to this weekend!

Good morning, all!
Prayers still going up for those in the path of storms... many, MANY prayers... there are many, MANY storms... and fires, too, that never seem to go away...
Prayers for all our loved ones who are in particular need... and especially Susi and Ann...

I was up early but somehow I'm only getting back here now. Yesterday we called the grand jury assignment office; as a result we've reached out to our PC and Toots' audiologist to get letters. We're waiting for the PC to call us back (she will be in today) and the audiologist will have a letter ready to pick up on Monday. Scan and send and see what happens...
The Army/Navy surplus store called to say that my YM order came in (except for one item that the supplier billed but did not ship - that's the store's problem to resolve). So we've got everything picked up and I sent out a couple of YM emails that I'll follow up on today. Tomorrow is the parade. Weather looks cloudy but dry - but WINDY (15+ mph).
The evening got a bit scatty but I got some good crocheting time in. Afghan (jumbo-size) is coming along.
Coffee... βββ... morning prayer (no sunbeam)...
πππππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππππππππππ
MπΊB & T: I took that private; I think I incited a rebellion.
Russπ€ΉStuff: MVG-SN called at 9:47 PM last night to update us on Russell's "wheezing". The doctor diagnosed acute bronchitis. He is now on Augmentin, Mucinex, and Albuterol. A chest x-ray has been ordered (to be done in-house).

June - I have to admit I am partial to the idea of bronze. Cathy - Hope you have internet. Glad the booties look even better for a reasonable cost. MJ - Is he old enough to be excluded? Glad the surgery is scheduled. Poor planning on their part does not constitute extra rushed voluntary hours on your part. LaDonna - Hope you had a lovely Mexican lunch Waving to Bee and Ann
Slept poorly but managed with walk with Lily and Carol to the ferals. Did my pt, ate breakfast and had a lovely nap. Took a nice long shower including washing my hair (which I only do twice a week). Not as difficult as I feared nor was drying my hair.
Timeline is not specific. Staples come out on Wednesday and I can start driving again. Non weight bearing and no arm behind my back for now. Bruising may take another 4 - 5 weeks to go away. Full recovery est. 4-5 month. Functional in between. I should return to work on the 18th.
S - Usual coffee B - Steak and swiss on 647 wheat with lettuce and mayo L - Chicken thigh some how D - Escargot, mixed green salad w/ov, garlic toast

Is he old enough to be excluded? In NJ it's age 75; he'll be 74 in August.
