This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning and welcome to the weekend!
We're wet here again this morning, but tomorrow should be better.
We're waiting to hear from BIL, as he's supposed to go out to the hospital this morning. DH didn't get home until a little after midnight. Poor thing, I know he was just exhausted. I had to laugh a little though. He got a little taste of how difficult it is to get his mother to tell the Dr. "what happened". When the Dr. asked what brought you here today? She kept starting with...Well, in September my AFib started acting up...". DH said he redirected her about 3 times before he finally said, "Mom. You need to tell him what happened this morning with your knee. That's it. What did you do or what were you doing when it swelled up and started hurting so badly?" Anyway, the did stick a needle in and drew off a couple tubes of what turned out to be blood. He kept asking, "Are you sure you didn't fall or bump it or twist it or step wrong?" She kept saying that she didn't think so. She is on Eloquis for the AFib, so any injury could make her bleed more than normal. Also, on Thursday she had what she calls her "bone shot" for her osteoporosis, I did some reading last night and saw that adverse reactions can include intense pain and swelling in the joints. So she's supposed to mention that to the Dr. when she sees him today. She's had the shot before, so I wouldn't think that's the top reason, but just to make sure he knows the whole situation. DH said that the morphine wasn't doing anything for her pain and neither was the fentanyl, and they ended up going with dilaudid which did ease the pain. I know that's a pretty high powered drug, so IDK. If she was scooching around without shoes on and slipped of twisted wrong or something, I think she'll likely never admit to that. Her and FIL are both AVID "it's not my fault" kind of people. Lol.
Anyway, waiting to hear from BIL and see if we're going to be able to keep "date day" or if we'll be shifting plans later.

Hello All - coffee went well; we weren't sure how many would show up with the rain, but we had a decent turn out. DSon just called and asked if I could come watch DGS for an hour or two, so I will be heading over there. I will take my book to read. I might go play BINGO this evening...not sure yet.
Lora - oh dear...sure hope DBIL can go to the hospital/whatever so you guys are able to stick to your plan for today.

Lora, sorry that dh was up late last night. I hope your MIL feels better soon with her knee/leg.
Susie, glad that your coffee club went well this morning.
I got out relatively early this morning to do some errands all of which are near each other and then took the bus home afterwards before the rain comes later. Later it's supposed to be heavy and tommorow very windy.
The car is estimated to be ready on Monday. I am waiting on confirmation that it is ready. I don't think I will hear anything until Monday though. If it is ready I will leave work mid afternoon and meet my sister at the bus stop to go the rest of the way.
Since we are having the Head Start Federal Reviewers coming to our center Tuesday thru Thursday for sure and possibly Friday so won't be able to call out or leave early. Supposedly Thursday is their last day but if not I'd have to wait until the following Monday unless somehow they would let my sister drive it home. I am still hoping for this Monday though. She could take a Lyft up there and drive it home. I would just reimburse her for the ride. It's only about 15 minutes away from us.
I am staying home the rest of today. I want to do some stuff on my laptop, read, etc. Have a good day!
