Grrrrrrrr. . . I just lost my long post. so hereβs a very short version since I am setting aside electronics to wind down.
Susi Very happy to hear that your rd overly is progressing as expected. Yay! Both K and I fully anticipated that a bronze would work best. (I brought home 5 different variations). But K, R, and I prefer a satin Epresso from Rust-oleum.
MJ Hope that the court allows Toots to sit out this request. GL with the parade tomorrow esp. with the handling of the larger flags and participation of newer recruits. That afghan seems to be taking shape quickly. π

Today is cool but sunnier than the past few days. The goal for today is to stay OP, track every BLT, and stay positive...and walk 30 minutes while reading. We have leftovers to reheat for lunch and plan to talk to our son and his family this evening if the internet permits. Talked to our daughter last night and heard her news.
Susi: My sister's friend had major shoulder surgery and decided to wear her arm sling while out in the garden and doing things because she found herself reaching out with and using-trying to use her arm when she shouldn't. Not sure you would have that issue but thought I should share.
Hope everyone has something positive to look forward to today!

Cathy Love that leftovers provide you with an easy, tasty meal. Those two-for-one activities are a good fit. You get movement and burn calories while reading. Bet it will be the OP day that you intend. As an advance reader, does your input help tweak or market the books?
Thx for the good wishes! Am supposed to chat with my niece, Noel, this morning. Then I have a Tarot lesson to give tonight. Am looking forward to both!

Sundayβs intentions Am appreciating the fact that our snow is a dusty so far. Making myself a cup of my highest quality Earl Grey tea.
Looking forward to hearing about Noelβs drive upstate. They are considering a move upstate β with a guest room. π Do not have a Tarot reading lesson to prepare, since I did that last week. Will be interesting since my student is reading for me.
Giving myself a pat on the back. I put the spray can on the hearth in front of the brick. The canβs color coded cap lets me preview the paint color. The warm brown better compliments the brick and flooring.
Off to make plans for the day.
Waving hi to Susi, LaDonna, MJ, Bee, Cathy, and Ann if she peeks in. β€οΈ

Good morning, all!
Prayers still going up for those in the path of storms... many, MANY prayers... there are many, MANY storms... and fires, too, that never seem to go away...
Prayers for all our loved ones who are in particular need... and especially Susi and Ann...

We changed our clocks early last night - the ones that required hands-on. It caused a bit of kerfuffle when I reached out to the Kressling an hour earlier than we had planned, but fortunately before I was sitting in his driveway. He came over after 10 PM; he'll march in the parade with the YM today as a spare pair of hands.
I resolved the two YM jacket situations; neither new graduate will be at the parade. My plan for 2024 is to collect all the M-65s, probably in April, to inventory and clean and then re-issue them in the fall. First of all, we lose so many of them (at $100/each) when someone stops coming, especially at re-registration time in September. Secondly, some of our YMs have outgrown the jacket they were assigned but I don't find out about it until they're standing in front of me at an event <oy>. Yes, there's a procedure for requesting up-sized or replacement uniform bits. No, most of 'em don't do it (until they're standing in front of me and I can't do anything about it in the moment).
Muster for today's American Irish Association of Woodbridge 50th St. Patrick's Day Parade is at 12:30 PM. The parade steps off at 1:30 PM. I should be home in time for NASCAR.
It's almost 11 AM (new time) and I'm going to very slowly and carefully start to get ready for the day. An additional task for this morning has fallen OFF my plate, so I've got some breathing room.
Coffee... βββ... morning prayer...
πππππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππππππππππ
MπΊB & T: Last night, LATE, they realized that in ALL the current marketing, etc. they have been misspelling the name of the Big Name Entrepreneur (she spells her middle name as P E I R C E - it is not a family name, but something "she chose for herself" at some point in her life). They've been spelling it "Pierce" <meh>.

Set the manual clocks last night. We went a little later to the ferals but they were still confused by the time change. Carol and I are going to visit Marge for a bit. We will check out a new supermarket - Livoti's - that just opened this week and is down the street from the hospital. Then Shoprite and that should be enough for me for a day right now. June - That color sounds perfect. Enjoy your chat with Noel Cathy - I will continue to wear the sling when out in public for a while just to protect the healing MJ - Hope the parade goes well. Waving to everyone else,
S - Usual coffee B - Full frittata breakfast L - May be taking something to Marge D ?

Mj Lol⦠that time change sure was inconvenient on parade day.
Glad that Kressling was a good sport about the early call and could lend a hand at the parade.
Ugh! That was a big spelling error to catch this late into the process. Hope that you do not have to grind away to push out all that work.
Do the YMs put down a deposit on the DBUs? Gotta wonder why the YMs would think that you could produce spare uniforms on demand before events.
Hope that you enjoyed the race.
BEE God bless you and your son, Mike, as you visit with him and his family.
SUSI Hope that the outing wasnβt too taxing. Am sure that your visit was a bright spot in Margeβs tipsy-turvy week. Having friendsβ support means so much during hard moments.

Glad that Kressling was a good sport about the early call and could lend a hand at the parade. Turns out that they really, REALLY needed him to be there.
Ugh! That was a big spelling error to catch this late into the process. Hope that you do not have to grind away to push out all that work. Not my circus; not my corrections. The emails have already been programmed.
Do the YMs put down a deposit on the DBUs? Gotta wonder why the YMs would think that you could produce spare uniforms on demand before events. New recruits are asked for a registration fee of $120. This covers their first set of BDUs (pants, blouse, cover/hat) from us, and the fee at HQ, and then they send a web belt, trouser blousers, and a red YM-logo T-shirt. Thanks to our fund raising plus support from our American Legion Post sponsor, we cover replacement BDUs as the YMs grow (we wash and put the old ones back in stock). If we "lose" them, they've technically been paid for. The M-65 jackets, however, are a LOAN to the YM. At the end of today's parade, a dad came up to me and said that he'd be sending me an email (following protocol) to get his son bigger clothes. <mmmhmmm>.
Hope that you enjoyed the race. Son#1 and his whole family ended up here after the parade so we got a bit distracted. It will replay tomorrow
