I had a bit of a detour with calorie counting on Friday when we went out to dinner, but I remained sugar and nut free. I was right back on plan yesterday and plan to continue for at least the next 5 days.
Nancy, did you end up trying the prednisone? It really does bring the inflammation down, almost immediately.
Lori, how are you feeling today?
Meg, we often forget what an impact our words can make on others. How wonderful that your coworker made the effort to appreciate you. I can only eliminate 2 out of 3 of the trifecta: nuts, sugar, cheese. I’m choosing cheese.

I enjoyed the bridal shower. I was glad I went but the ride home was miserable. Drove an hour in rainy, foggy weather plus was tired at that point….At the shower (brunch), I filled most of the plate with salad greens, topped with a small piece of chicken and eggplant. Then had a piece of cake. I did bring home a bag of assorted desserts intended for Mom and DH. Once home, I was exhausted and crashed on the couch. Later, Mom and I sampled the desserts. I don’t think I would call it a binge but definitely would say I overate. Back to normal today….
Jan, right back on plan, that is key!!! Throat feels good and not coughing as much. So glad I got the zpak…now just praying no one else in the house gets sick…..
Nancy, so nice to read your post. You’re sounding more like yourself!! So happy, Sounds like you turned the corner…..
Meg and Jan, thanks for the reminder….. Words do make such an impact, I want to make more of an effort to make positive comments and give more compliments…..

C133D21, 1291 calories - on plan plus an orange late last night. Finally fell asleep at 5 AM. Expecting another good day. Continue plan to get slowly back into my life starting Tuesday.
Jan - Yes I'm on the prednisone also Musinex. So glad I made that decision. Live and learn. Cheese sounds like the best choice. I can't get over the difference calorie counting makes. I must have just said no 20 times yesterday.
Lori - Our posts crossed. So glad the throat and cough are improving. Hoping the nap works for you. It can make all the difference.
