This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph.
Carole: 1.) Greatly decrease alcohol 2.) Track daily, being mindful of my macros 3.) Make movement a daily habit 4.) Be thankful each and every day ♥ 5.) Organize the house and photos
Karen: 1) Count my blessings each day in my planner 2.) Track my food daily on the Noom app 3.) Continue to conquer the areas of my home that need special love 4.) Intentionally Move More
Sue: 1.) Continue to be positive and thankful daily...even if it's hard to find anything good!! It's out there...♥♥♥ 2.) 2024 will be a year of changes and challenges as retirement approaches for the two of us...while exciting to approach that new chapter, it's a bit scary venturing into the unknown!! This is a time to get organized to reduce stress and frustrations... 3.) Drink more water....even if it's hard...make it a priority...a continued "work in progress" for me!! 4.) Get to the pool....it makes me feel good, it's my happy place...no excuse!! Shoot for 3 days a week to start!! 5.) Be kind to ME!! Remember you can't be all things to everyone especially if you don't take care of you first!!
Christine 1.) Aim for cardio exercise 5x a week. 2.) Reduce alcohol (follow Dry January) 3.) Accept HELP when it's offered - I can't do it all

Good morning! Wow started the thread 2 days in a row! Must be a record for me..lol. Have I mentioned just how much I hate DST? Lose an hour gain an hour it all just messed with my sleep.
I plan to do some meal prep today. Got fresh lettuce for salads. I want to cook up some chicken. I will be making a big batch of spaghetti sauce with meatballs for dinner.
My soreness has eased up today. I think riding the recumbent bike and getting lots of fluids yesterday really helped. ONE of the other coaches in Joe's program said Magnisium Glycinate, which I take to help me sleep, helps too.
Need more coffee and to get breakfast started. Be back

Good morning!
I forgot to move my clock forward last night so, when I woke up to take my meds (I just wake up on my own), I had to do the mental math to figure out when I could have coffee! I have switched all of the clocks in the kitchen and living room now though. I really do miss the light in the morning, but will appreciate the light later this evening. Yesterday was a good day. I found a dress on sale for my niece's wedding in San Diego on 3/23....the dress is "beach wedding casual"--whatever that is! San Diego can be deceptively cold so need to be aware of that. And it isn't on the beach....we just dress as though it is? LOL, it is all fine. So, my sister and mom will not be coming to dinner tonight. My sister found out that the Oscars start at 4:00 pm and she would be missing too much of them coming here for dinner. So.....I am still having the boys and Kate over for our own family dinner. I am meeting my sister for a walk this morning before grocery shopping. I need to leave in about 30 min for that.
Jo: Thanks so much for getting us going both days. It is great to hear your meal prepping for the week and that you are less sore. I do take a version of magnesium as well for muscles (some way...not sure what it does!) It is good to hear that it is helping. Yum, spaghetti and meatballs sounds good!
Sue: LOL about the boys and the purple weights---that'll teach 'em! It sounds like you had a great, healthy dinner too. I see now about Colton's sport schedule. I know that, around here, as soon as kids sign up for "travel ball", it consumes a ton of their time and limits other sports that they can do. What's great is that he is figuring out what he enjoys. Nice! One of the ladies I ran with yesterday is a Kindergarten teacher and their Spring break is this week. What about the boys? When do they have some time off? Will they be home by themselves on those days? They probably are fine to do that, right? I need to look at the bento containers.....I just need to think about storage (I am kind of nuts about that and what I bring into the kitchen). Hope that you have a good day!
Hello to everyone...I will pop in again later. I need to get moving to meet my sister and do the grocery shopping. Uggh...it is dark at 6:50 am again Not for many more weeks though! See you soon.

I made protein pancakes and bacon. Yum! No big plans for today.
Carole, ending your day with HT time sounds wonderful. You are getting a Cpap? How do you feel about that? Steve is still waiting to get into see his sleep Dr to get his results of the sleep study. Hope your help.

Good Morning all
I had a great day yesterday. I went to my meeting in a wind storm, Oh the wind howled all day yesterday and we even lost power a couple times last night, when I woke up this morning my huge Honeysuckle plant was blown over and a lawn chair as well. My massage was so good, I was with another girl and she was so much better than the other girl I normally go to, so I made another appt in July with her. I used to go every 3 months but my massage went from 115 dollars to 150.00 thats a big jump so I decided every 4-5 months.
Yesterday at my meeting we talked about making healthy habits and what can you do to adopt a new habit in your weight loss journey, mine was my matt and walking for 20 min 5 times a week, weighing and measuring my food and tracking so that's what I'm working on this week and see what happens. I forget that weighing and measuring are a key to loosing weight, at least for me.
Today I will go early around 11:00 and get the groceries for my mom and dad, then get home in time for the Oscars to start, you know me and my Oscar's and make a healthy dinner as well, not sure what it will be, last night I made a raspberry chipotle pork tenderloin and it was really good and I also made cauliflower mashed potato's, yummy.
I did walk on my matt and I will do that this morning as well.

Jo sounds like a much better deal with a nutritionist with your insurance than with Joe and Kait, that program sounds really expensive for not seeing any results. I hope this one works out better for you. A new modem for your house? I hope you got it all hooked up. Yes, no more long hours for me until the next filter sand job.
Oh I forgot to mention the Barbie girl in the office with all pink everything, the one who got demoted and now she's at our office and doing time cards, well she got in trouble again and they docked her pay $2.00 and hour, for making to many errors, I think they are setting up to fire her, so she got a letter together for HR and she will be documenting everything from now on when ever they "talk" or Meet with her from now on, so I'm not sure what will happen this next week. we will see.
Gabrielle glad your having a good family dinner tonight, is it windy down your way? Next weekend we will be getting up to mid 70's, the weather is being wishy washy for sure. Glad you got your run in yesterday. Sounds like a fun wedding coming up to go to.
OK I need to get on my matt and get the day going, I'll be back this afternoon

Oh my, my Saturday sure was SIMPLE! We used the hot tub before the girls left, then I just sat and watched TV. Oh I woke up to about 2" of slushy rain/snow! The good news is - it is melting as I type!
Today I MUST MOVE, and STRETCH! My back is bugging me (again) and I think it's from lack of moving? We'll see. I thought today would be tree trimming, but I think that might be pushing it a bit. So we'll see what I can do here instead.
Sue: Salad and Pita Pizzas sounds good. I had nachos! LOL Some chips, with LOTS of ground turkey, salsa and cheese. Helped boost my calories, that's for sure. Hmm, chicken and biscuits sounds pretty darned good too! Mary's cataract surgery went great. Saw her yesterday and it's weird to see her without glasses now!
Christine: Oh yes... I don't see the family EVER stopping Relay! Like last year I will not be spending the night! Ken & I will be baking pies 3/28 & 3/29, for Easter Bake Sale 3/30, but limited number!! Saturday 3/30 I will make donuts, they usually sell very well. The following Monday 4/1, we head to AZ!!! I have contacted another counter place. waiting to see if they will come do an estimate. No cabinets... ours are still in good shape. Oh 2 additional cabinets, but same as our current ones. We actually found a laminate formica that looks very nice! I do believe, having it installed by pros, it will last longer than what we did 10 years ago. LOL Ours is bowing and the seam is separating. I may have to compromise on the counter material, to get my fridge pushed back. DH is not as "on board" with this part of the project. LOL But we'll see.
Glad you had a nice laid back Saturday. I'm happy to hear Carrie didn't make a big deal about the friends you were meeting up with last night. YAY for Nick, and glad she can head to the championships to cheer him on.
Too funny, Carly not wanting the rehearsal dinner at your house! YES - Absolutely - rent the decorations! OMG We had several "work bees" here making table decorations and favors. Painting small wooden boxes, specific colors (Jaclyn) and then the whole HP, DR Who, Star Wars, whatever themes for Patti... OYE VEY
Jo: Hey, there you are! LOL Glad you got errands done, and yummm, Chinese Buffet!! I will hit Aldi's this week, for pie supplies. Since it's down near the Integrative Doctor, I can manage it. Glad you were able to work it out with Joe. Yeah, my BC/BS card is supposed to give me some towards nutrition and fitness, so I am hoping it will work for Joe. He tries for my March payment, but it was declined. I think he'll have to bill it out separately, so he said he would try that in April. This insurance doesn't do reimbursements, so if they can't take the card, I will lose the benefits. Glad you have found another nutritionist that will work with your insurance. How did you find this online one? Look at you - getting out to walk, and riding the bike, and the strength training!! I need to get my heart into exercise!!
Oh nice... hopefully the patch and gel will help you feel better, but truth be told, with all you are doing now (exercise) you will start to feel better in no time! It's all falling into place. WAY TO GO JO! (I'm a bit jealous here)!
Gabrielle: Yeah losing that hour sucked! LOL I still wish we'd stay on standard time, like it was Way.Back.When. Before they created DST! People seemed to survive for hundreds of years without changing the darned clocks! 50s are always better than 30s! It was overcast here yesterday as well, but time in the tub still felt good. Even though we turn it down for the girls.
HA-ha-Ha- Kids stepping up to take over Relay? You are so cute... No, but then again - my sister would have a hard time passing the torch of Team Captain to anyone else! LOL She has done it all these years (27) and no one would do it well enough to take it over!! I feel better about the Easter Bake Sale, since I am retired and can bake the 2 days prior, but no. There will be no sleeping on the ground for this retiree!
Sue: Yes, even though I have the time each day to grab and make a lunch, if it's not prepped, I'm likely to just grab something else. Usually not as healthy of a choice.
I keep telling Tracy IF she would eat better and drink more water, she would not need the help from the nurses, just to walk to the bathroom. If she wasn't dehydrated/dizzy, she could go alone! I honestly don't think the time change will bother me much this year. I slept IN until after 9! OK so after 8 by my clock, but lost the hour while making coffee and changing clocks! I NEVER remember to do them when I go to bed!

Good Morning Jo - Look at you girl! Starting us off again today! I was just barely out of bed. Sorry, DST messes with you, I wish we never had to spring forward - but no one asked me! LOL Good goal for today = prepping for the week. Can I ask, is the new nutritionist easier to work with than Kait? Might be worth looking into when I finish my contract with Joe. I have started doing my protein/collagen more at night instead of morning, since I heard it can help me sleep. Too bad (for me) NOTHING seems to help with my sleep!
Gabrielle: I forgot to change clocks too! LOL Woke up, saw my watch 9:07. Came down to 8:10 and thought WHAAT??? THEN it dawned on me... I had really forgotten. YAY for finding a dress... well that's interesting... a "beach wedding casual" and not having the wedding on the beach. Oh my... to pass up a family dinner for the Oscars?? She could simply wait and tune in an hour late, and play from the beginning... oh well, you will still have a nice dinner with your boys and Kate. Hope you enjoyed the walk with DS before shopping. Yikes you went before daylight?? Way to get a jump on the day.
Jo: What do you use for protein pancakes? I'm not a huge pancake fan, so not sure I'd actually make them. Ahhhhhhh, yes... a CPAP... Not sure HOW I feel about it. LOL I HATE the thoughts of wearing that THING on my head/face. On the other hand, having just the nasal thing, will still allow me to talk, so might not be soooo bad? Not that I have anyone to talk to anyway! LOL The one good thing about it, is IF I SLEEP better! I just want to wake up and FEEL LIKE getting out of bed. I am actually anxious, in a good way, to get the damned thing and get it figured out. At this rate I may not even have it before we go to AZ.
Jenny: Yikes, that was some wind storm! I think that's what we have today. Definitely no tree trimming today - not in these winds. Some of the branches will come down on their own. Glad you had a good meeting and massage. That is pricey! That's about what I'll pay at the "spa" in AZ, but my normal - local - massages are $70.00. Yes, weighing and measuring is a definite key to losing weight. It's also an eye opener (sometimes) when you get back to it. So question for you... if you had a TM would you use it like your mat? Or is the mat easier to use? Meaning nothing to hold on to, not being up off the ground? We HAD a TM and it rarely got used, so we sold it. I don't want to spend money on another THING, if it's still not going to get me on it.
Yes, I remember YOU and your Oscars! LOL Isn't that what we had TV on for in Oak Island? They are earlier this year?
Yikes, they docked Barbie's PAY? That sounds harsh. LOL
OK Not so sure how "super" this Sunday will be, but I best get it started! LOL Noontime, and I have only managed to catch up here and drink my coffee. Today I need to get laundry done, and dishes. Might cut up more produce. I will also try to get more stuff in the spare room cleaned out, so we can get that darned flooring started soon! Once the flooring is DONE, we can get the room set up and make more headway out back (upstairs)!
So many plans - so little energy! ♥hugs♥

Afternoon all...with the time change and everyone getting up an hour later than normal we are running a smidge behind here in the Moul house! Enjoyed a nice buttermilk waffle breakfast, dishwasher got emptied, refilled and dishes washed up...I think the last load of laundry is finally in the dryer, Jason just swept the floors, I got ALL the bills paid for the next 3 weeks, some of the ones for the 1st of the month already arrived so I just scheduled those payments too while I was at it. Got the taxes done and we are actually getting getting back from both Federal and State this year...we try to hit the $200 window...either get back or pay in no more than $200....we will be getting back $320 between the two and local we always break even....it's 1% of pay! Just a PITA to have to file since we only have our W2s as income. It's nice to have the pile of bills and tax stuff all gone from my computer desk....makes me smile!!
Now I have diffusers going in every room with yummy cozy scents to freshen up the house since windows haven't been opened in ages....grabbed one more cup of coffee and now I can sit and visit for a bit...
Jo....thanks for starting us off yesterday...I was up and out mid-morning and took a while to get to sit and visit with all of you!! My day was pretty simple yesterday once I got home from the store....
Jenny...YAY for a nice massage yesterday...mine is in a couple more weeks. Can't wait, I can feel a few "kinks" that Holly will need to work on already! Yes indeed, after the long tiring work weeks you have had lately you deserve a little down time to recupe!! Rain ended sometime over night here and it looks beautiful outside but it is CRAZY windy....steady winds of 20-25mph, gusts even higher!! We actually have 2 days next week that will be in the low 70's. I do believe the worst of the winter is behind us now....1st day of spring is March 19th...Sarah's birthday!! We actually have a pretty dry 10 day forecast ahead. We got over an inch and a half yesterday....it was miserable. I'm sure it will be nice to see Audrey today....I'm thinking no news from her means she's having a great time!!
Carole...I was actually just getting home when you posted yesterday....Walmart was a zoo!! We did have a blast in the pool. I'm amazed how much Kellen has improved with his swimming skills....SWSD has a pool in the middle school and swimming is a mandatory rotation for gym....he's come a long way!! Sorry for the confusion on the sleep machine....guess BC/BS "pre-approved" it and now that you know what you need it has to bet finalized. Who knows with insurance these days. Hopefully it won't take too long to get it!! Sounds like you, Tracy and the girls had a nice relaxing Saturday afternoon!! We too are doing the up and down thing with the temperatures....you never know how you will need to dress on any given day.....I'm ready for my capris and OOFO's!!
Hi Christine....glad you got a little time to hop on and visit with us! I know it's been a busy week with Fulton and work too! Oh no....hope your "white stuff" was closer to 3" than the 5"....one good thing about snow this time of year is it doesn't last very long!! I hit the pool M/Th and then Saturday with the boys this week....still 3 days, just not the usual days! Good job getting back in the swing of the TM. Bummer that Carrie feels uncomfortable with the husband....not good if he is "spreading gossip" to her ex-husband....time to be a grown up and let things go! UGH!! WTG Nick!! I come from a long line of swimmers and know the dedication it takes to excel at District and State levels!!
Christine...so glad the wedding venues are falling into place. Hannah's rehearsal dinner was down at Shea's parent's place...both sets of parent's help a little with some of the food but the tent, table, chair rentals, alcohol, etc...that was on Hannah and Shea. Since the wedding costs were also split by us, Deb/Dave and the kids it worked out....have to laugh at Carly and her "thanks but no thanks" on the idea of having it at your house...I will say we had a great time at Deb and Dave's...it was very relaxed and it was combined with the "out of town guest" gathering....around here the big thing is to do a "thanks for coming breakfast" the day after the wedding...we just combined the two into one event since many were leaving early to travel home the next morning...it worked out great for everyone!! YAY for help from the same lady doing the wedding to help with some shower decorations too!! Thing are getting done and that's a good thing!!
Jo...sounds like you had a busy Saturday morning...sometimes setting up new technology can be such a pain! Glad Steven could lend a hand and get it all up and running for you!! Glad you and Joe compromised on his STUPID cancelation fee amount....glad you can still be part of the program just not the meetings with Kait. Yes, bummer you didn't know earlier that insurance would pay for online nutritionist. Sounds like you now have a good option to help with your diet/exercise and healthy lifestyle options. Maybe Steve will follow your lead and join you??? We can can all hope so!! Sure wish employers were more forth coming with some of these benefits. I will say I can't complain too much about Sheridan and their information pipeline and thankfully for me if I have a question Alex is quick to give me an answer if she knows it or she researches it and has an answer quickly, and usually provides a link with more information. She's awesome!! YAY for getting out for walks and strength training....just remember, it's a "good sore"!! LOL!! Glad you are rethinking supplements and other options...I would ask the nutritionist if he/she thinks what you are taking is beneficial or if there is something to eat or take that would be cheaper and just as effective!! You have the benefit....take FULL advantage of the nutritionist and their knowledge/experience!!

That last post took forever to get finished....Kellen had question, Jackson need to know something, Sarah asked where I moved something to and Jason was just 20 questions and "oh honey, I forgot to tell you...."! So much for quiet time to catch up! LOL!!
Gabrielle....glad you got some warmer temps for running yesterday even though it was overcast. Sometimes that's OK too after a bunch of cold, raw, bone-chilling days!! Yes, the "red sky in morning" adage really proved true with the weather we got yesterday and even with the no rain today the winds are scary today....the boys actually mentioned as we drove home past the lake yesterday that there were no boats/fishermen at all!! Sometimes if it's a just a light rain fishermen are out because they say the fish bite in that kind of weather....no thanks! Not sitting in a boat getting wetter and wetter just for a fish! Not happening! LOL!!
The boys actually don't get a spring break around here....they have Christmas break, then the rest of the year until the last day it's a long weekend over Presidents' Day....long weekend over Easter and the occasional "early release day" for teacher in-service.....not like in MA where there is a week off in February and then again in April....in NE, Hannah's boys have spring break in a couple weeks but not here! Not sure it's the same in all of PA?? Around here....it's been this way since Jason was a kid. Funny you mention the snow and skiers.....Hannah, Shea and the boys are heading to CO for spring break to ski....last year it was OK skiing....Shea is hoping these late snows will make it a better year for them?? Guess we'll find out in a couple weeks!!
LOL Jo...thanks for starting us off! I think we all go in spurts when it comes to starting our thread off each day!! Will say, I feel fine today....the spring time change is easy for me and thankfully Sundays are usually pretty laid back so to sleep a little later isn't a big deal. Our house was actually all in bed asleep around 11:00 last night so even with the change making it midnight it was still close to "normal" around here!! Saturday is usually a later night here as people are watching movies, playing games, etc....so looks like we all survived the "spring forward" just fine here....Fall, not so much for me!! Not sure why my system stays in early morning wake up mode in the fall?? It's so odd?? I even try to stay up later but still, my eyeballs pop open early! Will be glad for retirement when it no longer matters!
Jo...sounds like you have a full day of meal prep to have a successful week. I actually thought I had enough lettuce for the week but we powered through 2 of the 3 heads of Romaine I had....thankfully I have a couple of bag salads to get me through the week if needed. Have plenty of fruit/veggies to enjoy this week....want to peel a couple clementines today for work tomorrow plus some blackberries and blueberries to bring to work....
YUM...we did spaghetti and meat balls about a week or so ago....always a hit here! Looking for to Chicken and Biscuits tonight....not particularly OP but boy is it yummy!! Glad getting on the bike and extra fluids helped your soreness.
LOL Gabrielle....that is why I change all our clocks in the kitchen and my alarm late afternoon or dinner time.....Jason is in charge of his own alarm and everything else updates on it's own. I just change the oven, microwave and range hood clocks. This morning I didn't get up until 8:20 so at 7:20, like yesterday it's light out....I won't notice the morning darkness until tomorrow....it will be light by the time I leave for work though....just will be dark when I get up.... OK....will admit to chuckling that your DS is opting for the Oscars instead of family dinner....glad you are still planning to enjoy time with the boys and Kate!
Honestly Gabrielle....football was never one of Colton's sports...he just did it for something to do in the fall to keep in shape...when he had the opportunity to do travel "fall ball" he jumped on it and now is a two sport kid....will say, he is definitely more a natural in basketball and baseball. As a freshman he was on the JV team but actually played several games with the varsity and held his own. As I mentioned a bit ago, the boys just have a long Easter weekend coming up...yes, they will be home alone but they enjoy the day....they just veg out, get the few chores done they were assigned by Sarah and since they both sleep late, it's not a biggie! They love to stay up late when they know they don't have school! LOL!! Oh, they did learn the hard way about NOT getting those chores done by the time mom got home! I got home shortly after Sarah and there were tears, screaming and all around mayhem!! Ah, forgot the joys or raising preteen/teens!! They are so much fun and will say, I know now....boys and girls are both ugly, just different!
LOL Gabrielle...at this point with my kitchen storage is NOT something I need to think much about....now it's organizing thing to make it practical but I still have many drawers and cabinets that have nothing in them yet and not too many more boxes to unpack. It's nice to finally have that flexibility!! My old kitchen was terrible and I had so many things I couldn't put in the kitchen because it didn't fit and now I have things on hand ready to use....each time I take out a new item that got stored for some of them years....it makes me smile!! I love it!!!
Got a couple things to get done so will pop back later.....hope all are having a great day!!
