C80. D3. No binges, but 2-3 meals per day, including foods like my first pizza in 9 months and fruity mixed drinks. My continuous glucose monitor (CGM) shows my average blood sugar up 12 points over the week and I'm now solidly back in prediabetes ๐.
I signed up for a TRE/ intermittent fasting course (on line) that focuses on maintenance, for when I get home.
Vacation is delightful. Great sleep, reading books, hiking, swimming, restful time with my family. Today we're visiting scenic old Willemstad, Curacoa, the Jewish Museum, and coffee on the waterfront.
Sticking with 2 meals and trying hard for no snacks each day. So curious what the scale will say on Thursday morning! My first day home.
(((Nancy))) Back in the ER. Hope the Prednisone and musinex do the trick. Good idea to rest and what a blessing that you and Janet are to each other!!!!!
Lori- Hope you feel.better too. Z pack seems like an aggressive approach, so hopefully that kicks.it.
Jan- good job on avoiding nuts and sweets most of the week. I increased my carbs on vacation and now have more hunger and cravings. Hope the family is doing well.
Meg- good reminder of what getting some.good affirmations can do for.ones spirit. I remember some months ago you mentioning that you didn't snack on popcorn because of the higher carbs. I hadn't really thought about carb consumption and blood glucose. This week on vacation is proof positive that a carb rich diet won't get me.healthy, even if I'm doing TRE. Learning....
Take care everyone.

C133D1 (new cycle!). 1392 calories due to late night eating - up to the wee hours due to prednisone. So I had a slice of ww bread with 15 gm Jarsburg cheese, an orange and 2 merengues. Every morsel tracked, so that's good. This is my last day home. Tomorrow planning grocery shopping, hairdresser and dominoes. My sodium has been night because of the Lipton's soup but I don't think I'm quite ready to make home made yet. I'd also love to make beef stew but holding off for same reason. I'm in really good shape with computer and household chores.
Kathy - I think it's great that you're taking the intermittant fasting course. I doubt they'll recommend eating whatever even if it's only two meals. I'm sure whatever direction they give will be helpful. As you know, getting back to pre diabetes is not an option. Sounds like an awesome family vacation. Well deserved!!

Good morning, all. TRE 18/6 today, no sugar, no TV (the snacking and TV definitely go together, so I might as well list it here). I do fine with no food until noon; it's the long afternoons that send me searching out whatever I can find to eat! Planning on a walk. Working this morning. Shopping online for a dishwasher. The bulbs are sprouting - love to see this early sign of spring.
No time for more, but I did want to check in. Appreciate you all!
Peace.
