Good morning and Happy Monday!
All crafters are welcome here as we discuss crafting, life and our weight loss journey. Crafting includes actual hands on crafting, such as crochetting, knitting, sewing, quilting, needlepoint, painting, jewelry making, etc.....plus reading craft catalogs, craft blogs, watching craft you tubes or other crafting videos, chatting here about crafting, chatting with another person about crafting, playing a musical instrument, reading craft emails, thinking about crafting, organizing crafting supplies, going into craft stores or the craft aisle in a store ,researching a new quilt shop, attending craft fairs,or any other activity that inspires or directs your mind toward a crafting activity- even visiting us here to join in our posts!! There are plenty of days in which the closest we get to crafting is a visit here, so even if you have no time to craft, we would love to hear from you. And one of us is never going to buy a fat quarter bundle again! We welcome newcomers to our friendly discussion! So glad you are here!! Please feel free to stop in and say hello!!

Happy Monday! Ruth, you know my line….when you are done washing your bathroom floors, you can come wash mine! Sounds like a lot of work, I wonder is your grandson coming over to do the installation? I know you and Dh have impressed me with your plumbing talent in the past ( you replaced a hot water tank twice with no help other than each other!). Toilets are heavy.. Just want you and Dh to stay safe.
Got another tow or two done last night on the afghan. I am kind of enjoying crochet for now, but as you all know, crochet projects get big and bulky. This afghan is on the border size wise, a few more rows and it will be cumbersome.
I did take an antihistamine this morning, wonder with all the wind if pollen is coming up from the south.
CJ and Sillyme, hope you are both doing well and ready to start off a new week.

Ginny you know how my hubby is. He decided on a new plan to move the toilets into place and decided that he'll do the installation himself and decided the moving will be done by both of us. We'll see what happens. At least we won't be attempting to move the one down a flight of stairs which was the original plan.
I hope you enjoy your embroidery this week and made progress on the afghan yesterday.
CJ and Sillyme, I hope you both have a great day.
I was working on a new crochet project last evening. I found YouTube videos for some really cute wallets so I'm making them for the girls in Indiana instead of earwarmers. It will soon be spring there so the little wallets will work better. Dh thought it was a great idea
Happy Monday, see you all later

Hello Ruth - I hope the toilet installations go well with no problems. Ginny- Hope the antihistamine helps you. isillyme - Hope you are doing well. I haven't done any quilting or other crafting for a few days, things are just busy with the house sale and other stuff. Hopefully things will be more settled in a few weeks. We had a cool and windy day here but it's supposed to get a lot milder the rest of the week. Hope your weather has been nice too. Take care

CJ, yes having things like the house sale issues on your mind as well as other things that can come up definitely can interfere with a person's enjoyment of ever their most enjoyable activity. I hope things settle down soon for you and you can go on with your quilting and other things you enjoy without having to worry about anything.
The weather here was really nice here today but it's not supposed to last although also won't get really cold.
I'm working on the little wallets/card holders for the granddaughters and, of course did some cooking. I also made a really good hamburger for myself (dh had made his while I was doing some other things). I absolutely love hamburgers but don't often make them. We usually try to stretch out ground meat but making it into something else other than just burgers. Now I have sausage gravy simmering to eat over biscuits or mashed potatoes whichever we want to eat at the time.
Have a great evening. I'll bbl to see if the others check in

Aw Ruth I am home!!! Just been busy and got caught up with some family stuff.
I sincerely hope that you and Dh can manage installing new toilets- I am confident of your plumbing ability but do not want to see either of you getting hurt. Your crochet wallets sound like a really nice idea and I hope they are not hard to make. Yummmmm… glad you were able to enjoy a good hamburger!
CJ - do you think you are getting to the beginning of the end with your house sale? It’s so much work and is such a burden for you. Hey, how was the maple fudge?
Silly me- have you been able to work on your Tunisian crochet?
My eyes are a bit itchy but I think I am holding the allergies down. I did start a new embroidery picture this evening, thinking I will give crochet a rest until the husky is home.
See ya tomorrow!

Yes it's holding the toilets up and setting them in the right place after you get that wax ring and all where they go. I've never helped with a toilet before. Dh has installed all of them himself so I don't know how he saw how to get them right. I guess this time he feels that he has all he can do to just pick one up and place it without having to be able to see where it's going. I'm a little leary of my ability to guide him in that.
Well I hope your family things you were involved in today were not anything that needs worrying about. I hope they were just being with family and enjoying the time spent
CJ, I don't usually care much for maple candy but I do think that maple fudge would be good.
Sillyme, I'm wondering what you're making with the Tunisian crochet. I've seen some really beautiful things made with that technique and some that are not extraordinarily beautiful but still pretty as well as easy to make and very useful

Ruth did you buy 2 piece toilets or one piece? I forget why but the one piece are supposed to be better - of course they would be heavier. (I have 2 piece).hope yours are 2 piece and less of a strain to put in position. Stay safe….
Nice weather these days so I have been able to get out for walks

Hi everyone I was mia for a couple of days. 3 pounds gone. My pup and my other dog have bonded finally over popcorn. Romeo is constantly running . I had a wonderful yarn fairy come the yarn delivery hit the spot. I was having fun touching it and oh it's calling for me to make a toy. I will post photo when it's done

Ginny, yes we bought the two piece so that they wouldn't be so heavy. The one toilet is much heavier than the other so it's a good thing it's in two pieces...it's a beast. I'm glad you've been able to get out for your walks. We're supposed to get a bit of snow later and on the mountain they will get up to 20 inches. I can see it snowing up there. Just hope not too much of it moves down here.
Sillyme, it's always great to receive a yarn shipment (well unless they made a mistake or the yarn has issues). I'm looking forward to seeing the toy you made.I'm not very good at toys and hate sewing on parts. And, congratulations on the 3 pounds loss.

Hello - Hope you are all having a nice day. The weather here has been really great - 60s and 70s and sunny. I haven't been doing any quilting lately with stuff going on with the house sale. Hopefully once that is all done I can get back to my quilting. The new Moda Blockheads block came out today, now I'm behind But I'm sure I can get last week's block and this week's block done soon. modafabrics.com/inspiration-resources/bh5-group-2-block-11-stacy-iest-hsuHope you are all getting to do some crafting. Take care

CJ,I like that block but don't really care too much for the fabrics and colors she chose.I know it will be a pretty one once you get it made because from seeing so many of yours I know you have a knack for colors which I envy. Weather here is like I mentioned earlier that was forecasted. It rained first then changed to snow just like they said it would. Next week we get 60's.

Ruth, sounds like you are in the spring see saw weather pattern, which is I guess not too bad as long as you do not get the extremes. Like you, I like the block CJ will be making, but am not a fan of the fabrics. I am looking forward to seeing what she does with it. And I am glad you got the 2 piece toilets…I forget why the one piece is better but of course they are heavier.
CJ- is the house sale proceeding well for you- with not too many snags? I hope so, and also hope that it’s over with soon. Looking forward to hearing about your being able to sew again.
Sillyme, congrats on the 3# loss!!! Wow you are doing so well. Enjoy playing with the yarn, cannot wait to hear and see what you do with it!
Busy day but got a call this am that the Husky is repaired!! Either tomorrow or Saturday I will bring it back and hopefully get to play with it.

Ginny, that's great that your sewing machine is ready to come home. I hope it will be working great for you now.
We did get about 4 inches of snow.I'm not sure because I'm not good at judging depths but it looked deep to me. I'm sure it will be all melted in no time. The snow removal company the HOA hires to removed snow from the streets in the development came very early this morning to plow. I'm sure they worried that the snow would melt and they wouldn't get the chance to make more money. They haven't had much opportunity to plow here this year.Of course I'm very happy about that since I don't like winter.
