This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph.

This is a time to get organized to reduce stress and frustrations... 3.) Drink more water....even if it's hard...make it a priority...a continued "work in progress" for me!! 4.) Get to the pool....it makes me feel good, it's my happy place...no excuse!! Shoot for 3 days a week to start!! 5.) Be kind to ME!! Morning all...it's Monday again so here is the challenge....
We are all starting to do a bit more activity so today I challenge you to "step it up"....if you're on the TM or E....stay on 2 extra minutes....if you are doing weights or strength training....add a few extra reps...nothing huge, just a little bit more...we can do it!! Not sure if I'll add more reps or 5 more minutes in the pool....
Have a great day today....don't get blown away!!

Good morning!
I would have gone to the gym early this morning but, when I got up at 2:00 am to take my synthroid (1:00 am old time) I decided to get the sleep today. I have a meeting tonight, I am presenting at a Board meeting tomorrow night, and I have a haircut on Wednesday night so that means three nights of not getting home before 7:00 pm....having walked about 6 miles yesterday with my DS, I decided to skip the gym this morning and opt for sleep. So, with all of the meetings, not sure that I will get to "move more" but I will be with you in spirit!
Dinner last night was nice and my sister ended up coming with my mom. I think she felt kind of guilty missing out seeing the boys. We did have the Oscars on in the background so she could see them from the table and she was recording them at my mom's. Meg LOVES the Oscars and I knew she would be watching them. I promised her that we would make it a point next year to see all of the big movies that are nominated (something I have never done but sounds like a nice "retirement thing"--she is excited to do that).
Sue: I love the reenactment of the oven mitt picture! What a keeper he is! I am still admiring your beautiful new kitchen...what is the stainless steel door next to your refrigerator? Is is a wine fridge? Wow, so much rain! We were supposed to get some last night, today, and into tomorrow. I don't see a lot of wet ground now (but it is still dark). We will see. How nice that Hannah and family can go skiing after the less-than-snowy Tahoe trip! I have thought about that trip and felt bad for them...it sounds like they will still get the family ski trip after all. When is Hanna's half marathon? Hoping that she is doing well. How about that--no Spring break? Well, I think our kids only get two days of "professional development days" over the year here so the break days probably make up for that. Lake Tahoe schools get two weeks of Spring break unless they need to take a bunch of snow days. Oh, I am sure that they LOVE sleeping in and having that time to themselves on those days when all of you are at work. I think that we need to give our kids unstructured time like that sometimes. Oh yes, living where she does in So. California and having so many friends somehow connected to the film industry, DS LOVES the Oscars and everything about them. We all have our "things" I guess! Thanks for getting us going --- have a wonderful day and a good swim!

Carole: How did your day go yesterday? Your Saturday sounded great! LOL, okay, the Relay will ALWAYS be a "Hall" thing I am SO glad though that you no longer feel obligated to spend the night. Oh, your AZ trip is right around the corner! I am so excited to hear what you think of AZ....I was actually considering suggesting it for a girls trip for us. I hope that you get to see the beauty of AZ--the red rocks, etc. and enjoy the pool, a massage, etc. I think you will miss Spring training? It is the place for that too. Hoping that you get the sleeping equipment soon.....and that you can move a bit more today and see if you feel a little less stiff. As you may have read by now, DS caved and came for dinner. My mom really does love seeing everyone too. Hope that you have a great day and some sunshine!
Jenny: Oh, your dinner on Saturday night sounded yummy! Good for you for committing to the weighing/measuring. It is SO easy to get out of those habits (I know that I do) and they can make a big difference. So glad that your walking mat is getting so much use too! How is Audrey? Did she give you the lowdown on the trip? Does she live Utah? Wow to Barbie and the dock in pay! That is significant....hmmm...she must have really done something to get docked like that (or maybe they told her before it would happen and she didn't really believe it?) I hope that this week is better for you with a more regular schedule.
Christine: It must be nice to not be driving a long ways on Sunday, right? Hoping that you have a CALM week ahead of you!
Jo: How are you feeling? Less sore? Hoping that you are able to do your movement again and start to see the benefits of getting stronger soon.
Okay, time to get ready for work. First meeting is at 7:30 am. Have a good day ladies....I might try to pop in at lunch.

Good Morning - No sunshine or warm weather here... The WINDS are brutal!! I was laying in bed, looking out the window, and thought for SURE the neighbor's tree was going down! OYE VEY! The good news (?) It was bending towards HIS house, not ours! We would most likely lose power, but a tree NOT falling on our house would be good.
Sue: Sounds like a busy - good - day yesterday. On Friday, I got our tax papers together, AND the records for FCF!! Dropped them off at accountant's on Saturday - so now we wait! Since Ken has been OUT of the store partnership for ALL of 2023, that shouldn't hold us up, OR cost us as much as last year! God that was painful!
We are in a wind advisory today, but then three days of sun and 50-60. I just checked and NYC is supposed to be 62 and sunny on Saturday! WOO HOO!!I know I'll get my 5k steps that day!
Nice that Kellen has swimming in school! I think all schools should have that. I know not at all practical, but kids need to learn to swim! LOL Funny how when people are around it makes it so much tougher to post here! It's like, they don't see us typing?? Same here. This morning will be quieter for me, as Ken has gone for his annual check up. I did REMIND him to ask about sleep study! OMG He sleeps in the spare room and I can hear him in our room! OYE VEY!
Move More Monday... We went for a walk yesterday, but I tell you in this wind, NO WAY! I'd worry about being hit by a tree limb! I will however get on the E and MOVE MORE. I also am trying... Joe's new challenge... all about exercise! It's strength Training, and I have to google a few of the things he challenged us to today, but I will give it a try! I know my back actually felt better yesterday after the 10 minute ST video Kait had sent me. We'll see how it goes. Glad you can hit the pool today after work.
Gabrielle: Geeze, I'm glad you opted for sleep this morning. YAY for 6 miles with your DS yesterday!! So glad she came to dinner after all. Good retirement plan to see all the movies next year! Yikes, that's a LOT isn't it?? I might go to the theater this afternoon. The (fairly) local theater is showing Apollo 13. While I have seen it a few times, I have never seen it on the big screen. Tim, Jaclyn and Eden are going! She asked if anyone else wanted to go, so why not?
Yesterday went well... pretty lazy day after all! BUT then Ken said he was going for a walk, asked if I'd like to go. At first I said NO, but then said YES... I know I need it. So we walked 1.36 miles, and by the end of the night, I did have my 5k steps. Between the walk and the weight lifting, my back felt pretty good. Yeah Relay will always be Relay! I can't see myself ever quitting until the rest of the family does, but I am ready any time they are! LOL
Yeah it looks like AZ Spring training ends the end of March. That's to bad, I would have sent Ken to a game! LOL We are planning a Verde Canyon Tour. Other than that, we have nothing planned except a couple of days at the resort, in the sunshine.
OK Time to get MOVING, First the E, then get dressed for the day, and then?? Continue decluttering the spare room!
Might CBL, not sure how the day will go! LOL
♥hugs♥

Good morning all
Here it is Monday again, the weekend goes by to fast. Audrey made it home around 4:30 pm and went to her place after. It was only 1 1/2 hour flight home so that was good for her and the others to get home at a decent hour. Her spring break is March 25-29 so she still has a few weeks of winter term left. I watched the Oscars it was pretty good with Jon Cena coming out naked. Funny. I enjoyed it.
Gabrielle, Audrey went with her college group to some dance class’s at Weber State University, she danced one dance and the rest of the classes were in lighting and background/camera, she’s getting in to the back stage classes and really enjoying them. She was in Utah from Tues through Sun and now they are home. I’m glad your sister changed her mind on dinner and could come up, I’m glad you had the Oscars on for her. I bet she has friends that works all over down there in southern Calif, I’m love the Oscars too.
Carole we had fierce winds up here to this weekend. It’s not fun but they have gone for now and just rain for now. We are going to be in Spring weather starting on Thursday. I’m glad you got in your steps. I’ve been trying to get at least 8000 a day. I’ve been doing well this weekend on measuring and weighing, I’m hoping to keep it up.
Ok gotta run hello to all
