Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Trash pickup complete, I just have to bring the totes in.
Beautiful day, sunny and cool.
Work has been going well, new vehicles arriving every day. We have a lot to keep us busy.
Haven’t done much of anything this morning, being lazy today.
Enjoy your day

Good morning all. Need to get moving shortly and get dressed and start my day. Did not sleep well last night (either one of us). Guessing Stan’s compression leg things (electric) weren’t what helped us sleep so well Tuesday night. I think jet lag & time change and exhaustion had finally caught up with both of us and we both slept like a log. But not last night.
Joy, sounds like your dealership is doing really well. Are you still looking at a different car when your lease is up? I can’t remember what you were looking at.
I got rid of 9 board games and that big mirror yesterday. Listed all as free and away they went, really quickly. Happy to have it all out. Today I have some 5T pj’s, some legos, a play kitchen, some cross-stitch stuff to get sorted, photographed, and listed. The cross stitch is free, the rest I will try to sell. My new philosophy is if it doesn’t sell in a week I’ll try local give away and if it doesn’t go there in a week, goes in the donation bag for a charity pickup. One of those coming on the 22nd so I think I’ll sign up for it.
Started tracking weight, food intake, and steps/exercise on Monday. Knew I had to do something. And so far it’s paying off. I’m down about 3 lbs from what I weighed Monday morning when we got home. But we ate nothing but junk until dinner time on. Sunday; drank pop the entire trip; got exercise only one day and it was slow walking. And I think you sometimes gain weight when you fly. But I’m watching what I eat and trying to get in steps. Going to start with small weights doing strength training too. Can do some of that sitting in my chair or standing in front of it.
Dottie should be back today. Hope she had a great cruise with friends/family. Waving to Martha. Hope all is well with you.
Have a good day. Will try to check in tonight during the hockey game.

We arrived home about 12:15. The third load of laundry is in the dryer now and that’s it for today. Still have 5 or 6 loads to do but can do more tomorrow. We are going to happy hour at 4:30 and then at 7 I’m heading to a friends house for a GNO (Girls Night Out). The cruise was nice, lots of great entertainment and nice to visit with family. The islands were okay but not what we expected. We did tours on 3 of the islands. On all of the islands we docked on the Atlantic side of the island which is in the industrial area. The tours were long and the landscape was very heavily wooded (jungle like). On one island we got to the Caribbean side, lots of palm trees and resorts. We did spend time on the ship just sitting and playing cards and visiting – nice way to catch up with the families.
I did skim the posts but can’t remember much. Ruth, it sounds like you enjoyed your get away. Joyce, glad to hear that work is going okay. Martha, your new recipes sound good. I will post more tomorrow. The dryer just beeped.
