This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning (afternoon for most...Lol)
I slept late again today. DH is working from home and I'm waiting for him to decide if he wants to go to the track after work, if so then I'll wait to go to the gym at the same time. With the time change we get enough daylight to easily go after he finishes work. And then tomorrow we're talking thunderstorms all day. Then after the wet mess tomorrow we get a crazy temp drop for next week. Highs around 50 and lows in the upper 20s. Yikes!
Anyway, I need to pop out to the local grocery for a couple of things, and then I'll settle in and wait for my time to head out for my afternoon workout. I'm looking forward to getting some more work on the smith machine, doing some more weighted squats on that. I could really feel that in my bootie muscles after last time...Lol.
Have a wonderful Thursday, everyone! I'll likely BBL and I'll go ahead and apologize if I'm bitching about whatever gets complained about regarding the physical therapy home visit that happens today...Ha! I KNOW, without a doubt that they will not be happy with however it goes down.

Hi again!
After DH finished up with work we headed out and got his track and my gym worked out. I'm glad we got to do that. Tonight/tomorrow is supposed to be a lot of thunderstorms, so sounds like it might be a good day to stay home. Ha!
So, I do have some good news!! DH said today that he wants to have the pool this summer! Woo Hoo! We skipped last summer, but I think it's a great idea. I think we're both going to need some chill/relaxation/zen time this summer.
FIL called DH and they want me to take MIL to a Dr. appointment Monday morning. It took DH and FIL both to get her out of the car and into the house the other day, and it doesn't sound like thinks are much better right now. IDK how in the heck he thinks I'd be able to handle her by myself. I think DH will end up taking the morning off from work because it will likely take two of us. I told him that his brother needs to start stepping up. Anyway, I'm going to try not to focus too much on all of that at the moment or I'll be stressing myself out unnecessarily.
Pool, pool, pool, pool...that's what I'm going to try to focus on! Lol

Hello All - I got to relax at home this morning before a dental appt to fix/redo part of a filling, then we were off to the Virginia Museum of History and Culture for an Open House for members with beautiful and yummy hor d'oeuvres. I will go back at a later date to see the new exhibit as it was too crowded today (it is on Julia Child).
Lora - sorry the you guys have MIL duty on Monday. Keep thinking about the pool.
It was so lovely today...we sat outside and read; I finished a book called SECRET DAUGHTER by Shilpi Gowda, which I really enjoyed.
I spoke to a neighbor who is in Pittsburg this weekend. She said it was 70 degrees, but they are calling for snow on Monday, so she wants to be sure to get back home before that.
I got bad news from my dear cousin. She has had a terrible year that started with thyroid surgery due to cancer and ended up with a feeding tube that she may have for life...and now they have found rectal cancer. She is such a sweetheart of a person. She is having an MRI next week to clarify just how bad it is, so if you are a praying person, please add her to your prayers. Her name is Cassandra.
I am off to bed soon...good night everyone.
