Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Joyce, I hope you have a good day at work and plenty of things to keep you busy.
Ruth, it seems that the industrial side of the islands is also the poor side of the islands. Any sales yet?
Martha, good for the scale going down.
Bill left to get his hair cut at 1 o’clock and the first thing I did was set the timer on my phone for 30 minutes. I didn’t sleep good last night but didn’t want to sleep too long and ruin my sleep for tonight. I washed the final clothes from the cruise, everything is now put away. Unfortunately, there must have been a tissue or a napkin in a pocket so there were small pieces of paper on the clothes. I shook everything before I put it in the dryer and then had to dust/sweep all the floors. There was small pieces of the paper in every room, UGH!!!. Both Bill and I are taking it easy today, he said he thinks the 10 days caught up with him. I’m still going thru e-mails, had over 1000 of them. Most were junk mail but I still check before deleting them.

Good late afternoon all. Quiet boring day! A lot I should be doing but no interest in it. I have some things I’m going to list for sale, but no inquiries on what’s listed, so I’m kind of blah about it. I want to do something but have no clue what. And it’s cold and blustery (lots of wind) so I don’t want to be outside or go outside. We did go to Punch pizza for lunch but that’s it. Parade of Homes is on and I’d love to go to that but it’s cold out. And yes, I’m kind of whiny today! I apologize!!!
I haven’t had any offers on anything since the first sale. Not sure if things are too expensive, people are busy and not buying, I don’t have the right kind of things listed, or what! That’s kind of frustrating. Had a gal ask if the kids’ pj’s were available shortly after I listed them and that’s the last I’ve heard from her. I told her they were and asked if she’d like to come pick them up and nothing! So frustrating.
Hope Joy is having a good day at work. Like how she plans what she takes to work for meals too. And she keeps pulling stuff as she does laundry.
Martha, WTG on your loss. Nice idea to have a nice easy week of meals. Easy is better sometimes!
Dottie, travel is tiring. We were exhausted after we got home from Myrtle Beach. I think it’s why we had such a good night’s sleep on Monday. Exhaustion. I hate when I forget to check Stan’s pockets and he has a Kleenex in one and it gets all over everything in the washer and the dryer. I’ve had that too often with DS’s laundry too. Sorry you didn’t enjoy the islands, but totally get it.
Ok, I need to do something constructive. I’ve had a good week with eating, exercise, water so I can’t let down too much today. Will check in tomorrow! Have a good evening all.

Top of the morning to my lady leprechauns 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀(((Hugs))) Today's weather is to be a repeat of yesterday and for a few more days. Think I'll plan outside vit d time, while I can. With dh marking a lot of recipes, i have lots of choices. The sushi spinach salad was good. I'll be keeping it, especially for during hot days of summer. Yesterday, dh was moving some tulips out of daffodil area. More daffodils blooming. Besides the solid yellow, I have another that looks cream. I'll see what it looks like in open blossom. Hope you have a good day!! 🍀🍀(((Hugs)))🍀🍀

Martha, I love when the daffodils start blooming, a sure sign of spring.
Waving to Joyce.
Ruth, I think we all get in a funk at times. You are going thru a lot with Stan, is he sleeping any better?
I did another load of laundry, never stops. I also cooked up some chicken that was in the freezer, trying to use up some of the food we have so it doesn’t go to waste. Dinner was a casserole using some of the chicken I cooked. After supper Bill and I took a 20 minute walk. He had to stop and rest, he is doing some slight wheezing, I think it’s because he skipped his diuretic for a few days due to not being near a bathroom while we were doing the sightseeing. He plans to take an extra dose tomorrow, hope it helps.

Good early evening all. Haven’t done much today either. I did end up listing 7 or 8 more things last night. Went through things I had pictures of already and listed them. Had another of those inquiries if it was available and asked if she’d like to pick it up and nothing. That is so frustrating.
We ran over to DS’s house after lunch. Dropped off some odds and ends and brought home 2 baskets of laundry. I know some think it’s work I shouldn’t do, but I enjoy laundry actually. And with DS’s new job, this is off his plate. DIL could do it on her days off (she does her laundry) but she doesn’t seem to, so I do it. And I put together the complete outfits for Mara and that makes their mornings much easier.
Watched hockey last night and we lost in a shoot out. St. Louis seems to have our #! They own us it seems! We at least got 1 pt and are still ahead of them in the wild card race. Joy, seems the Sabres are looking good for the playoffs. Hope they do well for you.
Dottie, hope you had a good day today. Nice to have your trip clothes finished up. Do you have things you use for cruises that you don’t wear in FL? My DF Rita used to say she had 3 or 4 wardrobes. A work one; an around the house one; her cruise one; and summer & winter ones.
Thank you Dottie for your kind words about the funk. And yes, I think a lot of it is worry about Stan. I think he’s had it longer than we realized and sometimes I see things that I find disturbing. His driving leaves a lot to be desired and if I say anything he just gets mad at me. Upset that I’m criticizing him. I got the new Garmin instead of another Fitbit; and it rates your sleep. It says I get enough hours most nights; but in the 2 or so months I’ve had it, I’ve never had anything but POOR for the quality of sleep I’m getting. It says my stress level is too high during the day and doesn’t allow me to relax enough at night to get good sleep. Thinking I need to talk to one of the doctor’s about that. Not sure if I need to talk to my primary or the endocrinologist because I think my cortisol level is too high. Such is life right now.
Martha, good idea to get out and get that vitamin D while you can. It’s too cold for me right now to get out and get it. We had a few warm days and people were reporting things like daffodils trying to come up. People were told to put mulch over them so they’d go dormant for a while longer. We’re told to not even walk on our yard right now. We can’t start yard work until late April or May even.
Going to list a few more things tonight. I still have DIL’s brand new never worn wedding dress in the closet and lots of pictures, so going to try listing it again. I’d love to get it and younger DD’s dress out of my closet. Going to go up there one of these days and take a lot of the clothes out of that closet. Way smaller sizes and I know some of the shirts are too short compared to what I like now. A few still have tags on but that’s ok too. If I’m not wearing them someone else might as well.
Have a good Sunday evening all. More tomorrow!
