This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph.

Good morning!
It is supposed to be a nice, sunny day here today....I hesitated to title our thread "sunny saturday" though in case there was some not-so-sunny weather for those in the east. Hoping that it isn't snowing at least? Anyway, looking forward to being outside for a run this morning and tomorrow as I cheer on DS29 and Kate in their first half marathon. So proud of them for sticking with it! I was able to leave work by 5:30 pm last night, whew. One good thing about my meeting in Sac the last two days...the Deputy Supt was with me and finally heard all of the changes coming up in the plans that we approve for our districts (I lead the meetings and support the 14 superintendents with writing their plans). I think he was stunned to hear all that I am doing to help them. Interviews for my position are on Monday....I am sure that they got good applicants. Two have dropped out (according to him) so they have three people to interview. It will be good to have that behind us -- for everyone. I can tell he is nervous and I would be too if we were replacing him. One more thing checked off my "getting ready for retirement" list.
Carole: By now I think you are on the bus to NYC. It sounds like it will be a GREAT day! I am so happy that you planned this. Wow, great for Ken to be playing Pickle ball! When I was a principal, I heard a story about it on NPR one day and told our PE department that we were going to actually start using the old tennis courts at our school to play pickle ball....we did (that was in the early 2000s) -- we were ahead of our time, LOL. I hope that they still do it...great exercise for Ken! Oh, sorry about the CPAP but what a good idea to try it out during the day to get used to it and make sure it is working as you think it should. Don't wait until you are trying to sleep. Hoping for a good outcome for you with that one.
Sue: LOL, look at your with your 6 M&Ms....you are SO good! Hey, it is a nice treat each day and hits the spot, right? I hope that the "tweak" you were feeling feels better now? Such a bummer!
Christine: I think that you have a full house, right? I hope that it is a nice, family-filled weekend and that the time going through Mark's things is drama-free with DM. Good job keeping up on the TM workouts daily!
Jenny: I look forward to your yard pictures! Have a good meeting today-- it will be nice if you see some positive changes on the scale after a week of closely measuring...
Okay, I need to get moving. I will pop in later though. I have a mani/pedi scheduled because my niece's wedding in San Diego is next weekend and I want to have decent looking toes! See you all later!

Good morning! Didn't sleep well last night. Woke at 615am. Ugh. But stayed in bed and read on my phone. Stress woke me up. Too much going on in my head to sleep. Not much planned for this weekend. Not doing anything St Patty's day. Just not feeling motivated here.
Emilie is said she doesn't want to go to the Lake in July. She would rather stay home alone with the dogs and have Steve go with us. I said um no, what happens if she had a seizure. She said she won't I told her fot the last 2 years up at the lake she had a seizure. She itcwas because she had to get up early. Steve wants to go but is not getting his hopes up. We have been going to this house for 5 or 6 years and he hasn't stayed there. Me? I'm torn and will worry about my girl being OK. My Dbil is next doir and wecwill have him check on her but he's an idiot and would not know what to do if he walked in on her having a seizure.

I wondervwho some applicants pulled out.

Carole. Have fun in NYC! I'm kind of jealous I haven't been there in since very long. You will definitely get your steps in. I missed thecreason firvtge day trip. Sorry you are having a hard time with the cpap.i hope you can get used to it.
Jenny, wow that is done tax refund holy crap! Enjoy it!

Evening all...since my back has been flaring up STILL I've been just trying to find a comfy position and it is NOT at the computer. Right now it's OK so figured I'd hop on for a bit to say hi and see what everyone is up to....I slept in a bit, then we chatted with Hannah in Breckenridge for a while...just got back from a haircut....Errin gave me an extra long shampoo and scalp massage!! I love her!! Also got a gift certificate for Sarah for her birthday....not sure if I mentioned here that she got a hair cut and when I mentioned Errin's gift certificate that we gave her for Christmas and she said no, she was saving it to get highlights so I figured we would give her a little more toward that luxury!! According to Errin a partial foil highlight is $45 and a full foil is $75....she will now have $60 towards them....
Now back to Thursday to catch up....
Carole...I will say, I've been loving the weather this week....it did rain late Thursday into Friday but the sun tried to peek out yesterday afternoon....today it's not as warm but still above normal and bright sunshine....but back to reality the beginning of the week, reminding us again it is still VERY early spring!! Yes, always fun to purge those places that just seem to collect stuff that we don't use....it was nice to empty the linen closet in the original bathroom and get rid of lots of stuff we haven't used in YEARS....I still had twin sheets in there and we haven't had a twin bed in this house for over 20 years!! I saw your NYC picture this morning on FB....looks like you did get a nice day for the NYC girls trip!! Sounds like a good plan to avoid the parade route on 5th Avenue!!
It's kind of sad that Ken's family is so estranged that no one let you know about SIL's fiance.....even with the friction in my family at times, people still let you know about births, deaths, etc....I'm sure it's one of those mixed feelings kind of things.
Gabrielle...thanks for starting us off on Thursday....did you drink up??? Yup...I agree, if Ed can golf for 6 hours, he sounds like his back is indeed better! Warming up for YOUR retirement....what about his retirement??? Ending the day with a haircut sounds much better than ending with a meeting...I know I do love my hair appointments. Got my hair washed, cut and styled today for $18....love how reasonable my hair dresser is....I always give Errin a nice tip!! Today she asked "are we washing your hair?" Then we both laughed...she knows it's my favorite part of the whole experience! Glad DST didn't seem to bother you much this year....LOL, yes, I think we all get used to feeling tired these days I think. I know for me, in the spring, I'm a little tired for a day but then fine....not sure why the one hour in the fall is so hard on my system....I only need to deal with one more fall while working so that's a good thing!!
I took your theme and did well with my water....I had about 70 ounces just at work, then a little more at home, plus coffee, seltzer and did enjoy a glass of wine in the evening! WOW, getting rid of the invisalign in April already....that seems fast to me! I know that will be nice so you don't have to plan what you drink anymore and can enjoy a cup of coffee and not have to chug it!! Hopefully you will continue the more water habit....that's not a bad thing but at least you won't need to think about what you are drinking any longer! LOL....I always tell they boys they have to "earn their dinner"....they actually come w/o any real complaining when I call for them....I truly think they enjoy time in the kitchen. The only thing they hate about the kitchen is emptying the dishwasher....you'd think I was ripping off their left arm when I ask them to empty.....

Carole...hope you enjoyed your flip flop day on Thursday...I wore them today....it was only 62 degrees but warm enough for flip flops!! Won't be long before I retire my jeans and shoes for capris and flip flops....it's coming!! I will say Carole that right now I'm enjoying seeing what regular exercise does for me, the way my clothes fit, how things are easier due to extra strength and the scale is just there.....
Well Carole....according to Hannah parts of CO got hammered but they did not in Breckenridge. Denver did get more but not as much as originally expected. They got maybe 8"....it's pretty and snowy but not overwhelmed...the boys are having a blast and Shea is struggling to keep up with them now....he used to have to go slower to stay with the boys to keep and eye on them...now they go just about as fast as he does on his normal run.....I have a feeling the boys will soon be a better skiers than he is!! They were both very proud to tell us that they skied a couple "Black Diamond" hills.....apparently it goes blue, green, black and double black on the slopes where they are!
Hopefully you and Ken can come up with a compromise on the kitchen....hope the other two contractors get back to you....will say, we had no problem getting them to come out but we had to wait on a couple estimates..... Yes, my DM went with progressives when she needed glasses after her cataract surgery....she was always putting down her readers and forgetting where they were, then she had pairs sitting everywhere...it got silly so she just got the progressive and put them on her face in the morning as usual!!
Glad the Easter pie total isn't too many.....20 is still enough to bake!! Sounds like you have the shopping/baking all figured out! How many donuts do you usually make??
WOW Carole...I thought you had weeks to wait for the CPAP.....glad you got that figured out and will be eager to hear how the adjustment goes!! While it was a long day, at least it was only one day and it all fit together pretty well with the timeline....
Jenny....glad you are finally warming up!! Not sure what the temp is to be tomorrow....but know Monday - Wednesday it is back to the upper 40's and lows in the upper 20's again before bouncing back to the 50's and "normal"! Jason has been loving the "winter clean up" around here....he's gotten most of the trimming done for the fruit trees and grape stalks.....he got the asparagus beds weeded and just needs to fertilize them. He broke out the tiller here on Thursday and then today he got the tiller out down at the lot....spring is here in a gardener's mind!! He's a happy camper!!
WOW Jenny....that's some sort of chaos at work....is Fred that bad to work with??? Sounds like he's not always been the best boss if others have reported him before?? What are their complaints??? Does he bother you??? Yes, please keep us posted....gotta love a little work drama as long as it doesn't involve me or you! WOW WOW WOW....how in heaven's name are you getting that much back from taxes....we are just excited to be getting back $320 between Federal and State!! We try to break close to even so we have the $$ to use throughout the year since we don't use our tax refund for anything special...I need it week to week for groceries! LOL!! YAY for being able to get the Visa bill paid off then enjoy the trip to New England to visit Carole!
Sorry DS had to have her dog put down...Karen and Bobby's Murphy had the same thing happen to him...he was a Golden Doodle and was a big dog. My cousin's daughter just had to put down their 2nd great dane for the same reason...it is surprisingly common in big dogs.
Christine....thanks for starting us off on Friday....sounds like you do have a VERY busy weekend ahead of you....sounds like Jessica wants/needs to help go through her dad's things....I know they were not close but still...might be a way to give her a bit of closure. Glad you give her the opportunity to stay with you if it gets odd with her half brother. What exactly makes Sam "odd". Either way, it will be nice for her to spend a little time with your girls...sounds like they are all fairly close in age??? I don't think any of us with ever follow the "logic of Virginia"....she's a mystery! Whatever reason Jess fees the need to come help with her dad's stuff....it's her dad, she's dealing with losing him regardless of the "history" and why Virginia is bewildered is odd to me....good luck getting Virginia to enjoy the day for what is it and not "over think" it!! Glad you are trying to find a balance between time on the TM and work....I'm sure you will get it all figured out and all will get done in a timely manner....you always figure it out!
Gabrielle....sounds like all of us are enjoying some nice warmer weather....may not last but at least we get a glimpse of the spring to come!! Glad they are being proactive with the trimming and keeping the danger of fire and downed powerlines in check!! YAY for a good feeling with your new assistant. Nice to have someone who doesn't "frazzle" easily!! Love to hear all the positives with the inclusion programs. I know I've mentioned my "Baresville kids"....all the special needs kids in LIU in our school district...they would come every Friday for gymnastics and they loved it.....they felt "normal" and it was such a positive experience for everyone. Love that her classmates are so welcoming and supportive of her.
Well....I never did make it to the pool on Friday....my side was just odd all day and I knew that I could not work out at all....I could hardly move my left arm or look to the left w/o my rib cage spasming...it was really odd. I just came home and adjusted the heating pad around my side to try to get things to relax....it was pretty good when I finally went from the recliner to bed but must have slept funny again and woke up this morning worse. Gabrielle....where do you find the podcasts?? I've never listened to one and not sure where to even find them or how to listen to them.
My work day was exactly as expected....Tonya was "Tonya" and buried me. Gloria had left two picklists on her desk that needed invoices to go with them....she told the account manager to send them and CC Tonya so they could be put in the sleeve and send to the WH for the guys to pull....Tonya is so lazy that she printed them then put them with the sleeves and picklists in my inbox to finish....yes, it took me literally 30 seconds to slide the invoices into the sleeves but really.....she couldn't do it herself. She gave me every RUSH shipment....she just kept dumping and dumping in my inbox.....I just kept working and shaking my head!! At least I know I will be busy on Monday!! She will never change and until I leave and give Mark and the rest of the management the "real story" of the antics of the back issue warehouse....it will not change but I will speak my peace when I leave!!
OK...back is telling me it's time to put my computer down and change positions....see you all in the morning....got no plans at all for tomorrow.....just the usual laundry, cook something for leftovers for the week and make the Cream of Crab soup......quiet day for me and hopefully my back will improve....I really want to hit the pool on Monday!!
