Sillyme, glad you have a 3 day weekend!!!! Regarding getting images on this board, use Post images.org to get your pictures in a format that this web site can handle, and you have to use the yellow “reply” button for this site and insert an image in the text. The quick reply option does not work. All credit goes to CJ who figured it out…. I can post more detailed later.
Off to see some kids get on a bus….

Hello Everyone - Hope you are having a good day and nice weather. It's a bit cool here but not too bad. We're supposed to get a lot of rain tomorrow. Ruth - I'm glad you are having milder weather. Hope you've been able to get some hats and/or afghans crocheted. Ginny - The afternoon tea sounds so nice, I'm glad you and Jane are such close friends. Sorry to hear about your machine having to go back in isillyme - I checked out that book and they are cute, hope you enjoy making them. Thanks so much for the support on my house sale. I sometimes feel like I'm the only one who can see that the vacant land is never going to be approved to be added back to the house property, and because of the issues with the vacant land the house buying company is not going to be able to buy it. I appreciate that you recognize that I'm the one dealing with driving to check on the house (like I did this morning) and also I have all the worry and anxiety about it sitting empty. There will be some legal issues to settle with the vacant land, but the house is free and clear to sell and I just think the best thing is to sell it now and deal with the land later. The final decision is mine and I know my family will support whatever I do. I just have to get over the need in me to please everyone, which is the way I've always been. I actually received an email from the house company saying they set a new settlement date, but I've told them there are still a few issues that need to be resolved. It's like talking to a brick wall with these people They never respond back. I guess I'll see what happens. I haven't done any quilting, just don't feel like it. I may try to make this week's Moda Blockheads block this weekend and also update my Temperature quilt. Here's the Moda weekly block: modafabrics.com/inspiration-resources/bh5-group-2-block-12-heather-briggsTake care and have a wonderful weekend

CJ, I can sure relate to the feeling of having to please everyone. I've always done that too.I'm glad you've been able to see that you now need to please yourself and that maybe pleasing yourself is not the right phrase but more like doing what needs to be done. I do hope at some point you'll be able to get the issues affecting the vacant land ironed out. Is this vacant land adjoined to the property the house is on? And I agree that details of what the problems are are not things that you would want to put on a public message board. Now that block you led us to with the link is really beautiful. I love it. I can't wait to see your version of it.
Ginny and Sillyme, I hope you have a great day and Ginny, I hope those children getting on the bus behave as they should.
I'm off to do a couple errands soon. We had 5 things we planned to do but now it's down to two.One of them is to get another part for the toilet installation. This will lead to the hard part of lifting it and placing it correctly

CJ- it’s not a matter of pleasing yourself, and Ruth is very right, this is not a matter of pleasing yourself. If it was all about pleasing yourself you would have pushed the responsibility of selling the house on someone else instead of doing the mature and responsible thing (which is what you are doing ) by trying to move this deal along. I well remember the conversation with my sister who told me that I should have held out for another offer or told the ONLY buyer to go away….and I not so gently reminded my sister of the sleepless nights I had experienced and all the stress…easy for her to mention that I handle it differently when she lives 8 hours of driving away and could be irresponsible. I was, of course meanwhile stuck making multiple trips to and from my mom’s house, over an hour drive, with a nut job buyer who demanded more each day. Do what is best for YOU and the sale of the house. you have to sleep at night. The vacant lot can be dealt with when its issues are taken care of - of course I would mention that to the attorney next week and see what his best advice is (to settle the house with or without the land). Yes that Moda block is adorable…looks like a fun block to make.
Ruth, please be careful lifting that toilet as you prepare to position it for installation!!! Be careful, do not want you or Dh to get hurt. Prayers that your errands go quickly and that the installation goes quickly and safely.
Sillyme, do you have today off? Hope that you enjoy the day and the long weekend.
Got my machine dropped off and they are giving me a loaner machine (the same model) which I will pick up in 2 days. I hope to finish DGD’s quilt next week…. A rather funny story. I drove again this afternoon, both a high school route and an elementary route. For the elementary route a monitor walked past the bus I was driving, took one look at me behind the wheel and commented that she now understood why she would not be needed on that route this afternoon, because I do not put up with nonsense from the students. (She is totally right). The kids are home now and I have a week off.
Ds is home but has to go in to work a midnight shift and then a day shift. Ugh.
BBL- I have rehearsal in an hour.

Hello - Hope you are all doing well today and having good weather. We had heavy rain overnight and this morning, but it's stopped this afternoon. Ruth - I hope you were able to get your errands done and I sure hope the toilet installation goes well with no problems for you and your DH. Ginny- I'm glad they gave you a loaner machine, that's a nice service. I hope you can finish the quilt now. Hope you enjoy the week off from driving. isillyme - Hope you've been able to start crocheting the impkins. As always thanks for all your support as I deal with the house sale. The vacant land is right up against my house/land. Years ago it was all one part before it was separated (and unfortunately it wasn't properly done). We've always used it as one piece of land. But because it wasn't properly separated, it can't be built on and now after re-opening my father's estate the vacant land is owned by several family members. I did a lot of research on this yesterday, and I'm pretty sure there are only a few options with the land and one of them is NOT going to be selling it with the house. So at least I know I can go forward with the house sale by itself, if I can ever get the company to actually talk to me. Hopefully I'll hear back from them on Monday. This sure has been a learning process and an experience I never want to deal with again I haven't done any quilting, but I'm still hoping to get to some this weekend. Hope you all get to do some crafting. Take care

CJ- you are welcome, you are welcome!!! While the issues I had selling my mom’s house are certainly not the same as you are facing( and vice versa) it’s still insanely frustrating and certainly more complicated than you would ever hope. I stand by what my earlier thought was, and that is to see what an attorney advises, which I suspect will lead you exactly to where you are, and that is selling the house and then the property separately. I am really sorry it is so complicated for you….I guess the best way to handle it is to just set out the steps that must happen and check each off as you go. It must be insanely frustrating for you. Hope that by the end of the weekend that you feel inspired to get some quilting done!!
The rain got here today and we got quite a bit of it. Thankfully it has ended…and Ds can drive back to work without the rain. I got some housework done today but took it pretty easy. Without my machine, I got some crocheting done. I hope to pick up the loaner tomorrow…Monday I get my car serviced and will be more limited in when I can get to Joanns. Honestly, I think the reason I am being given a loaner machine is because its the second time my machine is going to Michigan, and I was able to show the person who was working the machine center the texts from Cindy asking for my machine to come back up to have it looked at again.
Ruth, hope that toilet installation went ok…
Sillyme-how is your long weekend going?

Oh, I forgot, I checked out my fabric stash and decided I really liked one fall table runner pattern from Shabby Fabrics…I did order that. It means that I do not have to buy more fabric and can use what I have in the house.

Well I was here earlier but got distracted. Ginny,I'm glad you were able to pick up your loaner and also that you found fabric in your home that you can use up.I hope they get your machine going the way it's supposed to or give you a new one.
CJ.I told dh yesterday about all the issues you're having with your land. He said he'd heard of other people running into the same or similar situation but he didn't remember or maybe never knew what their outcome was. It's at least great that you can still sell the house and I do hope the attorney will find a solution that works for you on the land
Sillyme, I hope you enjoyed your long weekend
We did get the toilet installed. It was hard on my dh but he did find a way to hold it in place so that he didn't have to hold the whole thing in the air while trying to match the holes with the bolts. The second toilet may never be installed..not by us anyway. We'll leave it for the buyers of the house when we finally get around to moving and selling. I did get some crochet time in both last evening and today and plan to do more.
Can't believe this month is nearly over
Oh and after several really nice days it turned cold and snowed here
