This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning everyone.
I haven't had a chance to read weekend posts. I will try to go back and read them.
Just wanted to check in and say hello. My Monday is starting out a bit hectic.
Lora - I had a thought for your MIL - maybe a pair of Hey Dude slip on shoes with the insoles in them. They are very light weight and comfortable. I have a pair and I love them.
Gotta run - BBL

Afternoon everyone.
Lora when will the pool arrive. That is exciting. I hope PT for MIL went well today.
Susie you sound busy, busy. Your cousin is in my thoughts.
Janet - yay for getting your taxes. I need to work on getting ours done.
Robin it sounds like your house is coming together nicely. Are you done painting?
Daddy had his bone density test on Friday and everything was good. As of now he does not need another calcium IV treatment. He told me Friday night that he would like to move in with this lady in NC. I am not sure how I feel about that. He packed back up Saturday and left again. I haven't heard from him since he left. I am going to try to call him on the way home from work today.
Yesterday I was trying to get some yard work done and ended up slicing my finger on the hedge trimmers pretty good. It is my right ring finger. I was home alone and panicked a bit. I called my neighbor and she came right over - since the blood was soaking through the kitchen towel, I had on my hand we ended up going to an urgent care center. A couple different doctors looked at it and they decided against putting stitches in it. They put that glue on it and told me to keep it clean and dry. It started bleeding last night so I bandaged it up and put a clean bandage to come to work. It is all purple and swollen today and very tender. Fingers crossed it doesn't get infected.
Waving to everyone.

Hello everyone! Jana - thank you for starting us. The pool actually delivered Saturday afternoon. So it's just a big ol' box in the middle of the garage at the moment. It so dang cold here today, currently 48° abd breezy, and down into the 20s tonight. It's going to have to warm up...Lol. So sorry that you cut your finger. That sounds incredibly painful. Like you, I hope you're able to avoid infection. MILs Dr. appt. was okay. The Dr. just checked out her knee, told her to keep icing, keep up with her home therapy and to come back in 2-3 weeks to see how she's progressing. As feared, she's not very mobile at all and it would have been very difficult for me to deal with her on her own. So glad DH went along. Hopefully, if she needs me again for her next appt., she'll have progressed enough to be more mobile. She was saying that today is the best her mobility has been since she hurt it 10 days ago. Yikes! And of course, having spent the last 4 years sitting in a recliner had drastically diminished her strength and muscle tone, so she is almost of no help at all in getting herself up. I know y'all probably think all I do is complain about them...Lol. They're just so frustrating sometimes. Well, I'm going to go get started on supper. I'm making fried "rice". DHs will have sauteed shrimp, mine will sirloin. I'll just make a big batch of the fried rich and then toss in whichever protein once it's divided out into each bowl. Kind of a lazy dinner, but it works for me today. I didn't get very good sleep last night and I'm feeling a little low energy today. I think I'll be in bed early tonight and I'm looking forward to the gym and maybe some chilly outside time afterwards tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.

Hi Everyone,
My teaching partner wasn't in today. Originally she said she was going to come in later but didn't know how late. Her father fell and hit his eye or around it and had a cut. They were trying to get ahold of the hospice people. I think that from what our director said they may have finally came but by that time she told her just to stay home and not worry about trying to make it in so late.
Rather than her trying to do Family Medical leave they'd rather her do part time hours. If she does Family Medical Leave she won't get paid at all. She was looking into being a caregiver for him during the overnight hours. I don't know what will be the arrangement as they are having difficulty with him getting out of his bed but he is strong and fights them. One person alone isn't able to take care of him.
Then I had lovely extended care with a new child being pretty active but I handled her ok. Oh and a child in my own class was sick and had to go home. Exciting, huh?
Jana, sorry about your finger. Maybe you should go back to urgent care. Did they give you any antibiotics to take?
Have a restful night!
