Good morning.
33, feels like 23, cloudy, going to 48, which will be the warmest for quite a while coming up.
Robin, I am the same as whoever it was that commented on eggs on top of other things; do not care for eggs that way. I think I would not like Peruvian food, but who knows, right?
We had a nice week too last week, but now we are back to reality. We are saying, is this our 2nd winter, or 3rd? We can't keep track, at this point. Now I see, as soon as I turned on the local news show a few minutes ago, a good-sized snow fall this Thursday, (I think night) and all-day Friday!!!
Sorry about the paralegal troubles.
As far as I know, the high schools here have scaled back on proms, as it seems I just hear about the homecoming dance in the fall then this prom in the spring. In my day there was also junior girls' prom.
Pinky, I guess we all in the Midwest are in the same weather boat. I am shocked we are supposed to get to 48 today, and now I am back to thinking that is warm, as especially yesterday was so cold and windy! Are you supposed to get snow anytime this week? I sure hope we do not have to call off school Friday, we are trying to save that snow day for a day off in May.
I think Bob is happy that I forced a chat about our status, as he seems to be calling me more. With the pain he is in right now, and me strongly encouraging him the steps he should be going through to get help fast from Froedtert (the medical center he goes to in Milwaukee) yesterday he called me a total of 3 times! But the last time was to update me on his med's status, so I am glad he called me then. Every time I talk to him, he gets me laughing. He is a good guy.
Oh no! I hope the eye issue turned out to be age related. My auras are different than that, it is like looking through those kaleidoscopes that are a colored circle, going around in circle, in the center of my eyes. I have heard of floaters, but do not know what those are. Good luck!!
Marsha isn't this weather so hard to get used to??!! I am so spoiled from all the milder temps from the last maybe 6 weeks!
Yes, I am happy that I brought that up to Bob. It seems we are on a different plane now. More like a couple instead of close friends. Still getting used to his large frame.
Your center is telling you you need me time, when that happens; like not doing any workouts. You need breaks, just like your DD with the bad knee needs it.
How interesting, your custom of unveiling. We have our headstone on our plot, just waiting for me. When DB was buried, in the plot next to ours, it was just my DH and I present, and we just prayed over him. I think over the years any formal custom at the cemetery just went by the wayside.
Gareth, if I move to that apartment, I may run to Hy Vee occasionally, for their ads, since it will be closer.
Those ribs sound really good, now I want some. But that won't happen any time soon, unless someone gets their pain under control, and we go somewhere for the ribs.
I will have to dig into my phone and see if I even have a picture of Bob. I must since I have a picture in my contacts of him. I will post it on the WOW page.
Are you predicted to get snow this week? Of course, they are saying it could be big or little, they sure do cover their butts, don't they?
I love a great grilled steak but have not had one in I don't know how long, and won't any time soon, because of the price.
Carol, your description of placement of headstones are the same here too. No big deal, really. Sometimes they make a ceremony of burying the person, right after the funeral, where everyone goes from the funeral to the cemetery, but more often than not, there is the luncheon after the funeral, and the burial is done with nobody there.
Ah, so you are the one that said that about eggs, which I totally agree with!!! I love eggs, but not that way.
I have tried to keep up with shredding over these past couple years, but know with packing and all that fun stuff, I will have more papers to do.
Anngie, that is like here too, for the headstones. DH and mine is in place, waiting for when I die, then we both go in, and the stone gets finished. I was talking to someone recently about that and it freaked them out. I guess some people cannot accept the fact that passing away is something that can be planned and paid for in advance.
From what I have seen in obit's, a lot of the more normal ways/customs of funerals and burials are mostly back to normal from the pandemic. But that may just be around here.
Oh my, the kids were so good yesterday!!! I think they were just as shocked as me to see Char the sub monitor from last year is back till the end of April!! Her and I had so much fun catching up. She looks nice and tan, something I am not used to seeing, lol!!! (She was in Florida for the main part of winter)
