Good morning.
16, clear, and it actually feels like 16! (no winds!!) High of 36, with the snow not moving in till early tomorrow morning.
Robin, very interesting about your DH and his hip & his plate. Bob is hoping they find scar tissues built up around the screws, which would be causing the pain. Right now I keep hearing how he is ordering food in, for his dinners, and I am keeping my mouth shut, as I understand with the pain he doesn't want to do anything a bit more healthier, but once he is better, I will try to push a more better way of eating for him (it can't be good on his system, what with having that MM hanging over his head to eat wings and pizza so much!!)
Marsha, the only thing close to an unveiling we came with our headstone was when the cemetery had it put in place, so on DH birthday that year, we had all the immediate family meet at the cemetery to see it, and of course visit DB, who is next to us, then we went out to eat at 1951 West, for DH birthday. That was in July of 20, and it was very interesting to see how things were a little more relaxed in public. We did have a small private room for that at least. DH had such a good time with everyone, that I was very happy that we did that for him, with him passing away in October.
I will be thinking of your DD tomorrow and hoping all goes good with her, as I am hearing, and am sure you are too that most of the snow is to stay south of us.
Anngie, just one more thing about that monitor that yell so much; when she yells, it comes out as a high-pitched sound that really grinds on you, to hear. All of us that do the lunches one way or another (security desk woman, SRO, full time monitor, and I) were standing around after the last lunch yesterday chatting about that lunch and I said I would take the whole group out for recess alone, if need be as they really have to go out no matter what, and come to find out other women started venting about that monitor. I was a bit secretly happy to hear that my gripes against her was not just me! And the reason she called in yesterday, was to go look at a house! Really?? You couldn't do that after work, at 1pm?? Some people!!
How wonderful to go to out to eat for Easter! I sure wouldn't mind doing that one time.
I too have seen quite a few obituaries that are saying memorial at a later date.
Gareth how wonderful for you that the MRI has been scheduled already! I am sorry for you that you have to go through 2 of them though, for the shot.
Nice you are not expecting much snow tomorrow. Sounds like what we are to get is just enough to be a pain for the morning drivers. They will brine the heck out of the streets and highways since they have so much left from the winter. Looks like 3"-5" is what we can expect by late afternoon tomorrow.
Marsha lives in a different part of this area, so goes to her local Y, whereas I went to one out here.
Carol, I agree about the kids that are used to the yelling; I can see that with some of the boys. Yesterday was really bad, since there was no recess since the other monitor that goes out with me called in sick, which has gotten part of our normal way of doing things it seems. (Said sarcastically!!) So, the kids were more rambunctious than usual, and no amount of yelling would have controlled them.
Yes, that raise was unexpected, at least for me. I am happy knowing we will see it come September, when we get our first check of the new season.
Oh no! I am sorry for your DH! Will he be calling the doctor? If 2 are broke, maybe he should.
I do not go to the cemetery either, unless it is family or extended family. Most people that I know of around here do not have the public go to it.
Sorry your hair apt got pushed back. At least it is just 1 week. Geez, remember during the beginning of lockdown? What a nightmare that was, with hair appointments!
Pinky, we sure are getting winter back now, aren't we?!! I think I see in the 10-day forecast a bit of better weather coming, eventually.
I too am happy things are just at an even keel with Bob, with no pressure to go further. Of course, I realize that right now with him suffering from that hip pain, things are at a standstill, but I do think he likes things the way they are.
Good luck with the weather and traveling on Sunday. At least it isn't too far away, with most of it on a highway. Thank you, about the pain Bob is going through.
I think around here, it is pretty even for funerals at churches compared to funeral homes. It seems a lot of people have gotten away from being church members, including myself.
I totally forgot to call about the rental application yesterday; I may do it today. (If I don't forget again!!)
