hi This feels very planned. That language is exactly what Sima has said multiple times. Sima CNN: It's on us to recognize where we got it wrong and where we have been a part of the the narrative that it is a matter of willpower.” www.cnn.com/audio/podcasts/chasing-life/episodes/deb7e096-8efa-11ee-ae9c-9bf46cd11ba3Sima NPR: I say, as somebody who was very humbled to take this role because WeightWatchers also worked for me, yes, that advice was wrong because we said it was choice, not chance. www.npr.org/2023/12/15/1219734573/the-weightwatchers-ceo-tells-npr-why-the-company-is-embracing-weight-loss-drugsThis is what the Body Positivity lady says, “Speaking of WeightWatchers, they had the CEO of WeightWatchers on the program for like 30 seconds last night and she got so close to apologizing on behalf of WeightWatchers,” Sturino said in her video. “She got so close to saying, 'We really got this wrong and we’re sorry for saying it was just willpower, or that like one body is worse than the other, and we’re sorry for all the toxic things we put into diet culture.' If Sima means it, maybe she should issue refunds to everyone who joined WW in the past 60 years.

Good grief, part two of the great Sima apology tour 🙄 and the madness continues, she won't be happy until she's run WW completely out of business.

I hate when she goes around apologizing for WW! Bang another nail in the coffin!
This woman is plain nuts.

I feel more sad than angry, because Sima has run Weight Watchers completely into the ground. Apology after apology ad nauseum. It makes her look like a weak, failed CEO. At least Oprah stood firm about taking medication and being shamed over the years. She didn't come off as a weak, spineless apologist for Weight Watchers. . I am sorry if I sound so mean, but a once wonderful company has been run into the ground. NOT sorry.

I think that Weight Watcher's demise has been in the making for years and perhaps decades. When it became "all for money" and "the bottom line" took precedence over people...it was the beginning of the end. I did see the Nieditch took two dollars a week eventually from attendees for the diet she got for free from the NY public health department and then a friend of hers went further. I don't think it is any one person that "did WW in" but the many choices made for quite some time. I had success on exchanges and the first points system and some success on the recent one but do see a creep up in the making.
I think the community aspect was lost and online doesn't work for everyone. Their history is interesting and when read shows many of the mistakes made.
Anyway...we do have one another and the information to stay on a weight watchers program of our choice...if we choose to do so.
