March 22 My goals for this 100 days are: π Track every BLT βοΈ πΆββοΈ Walk or do some other form of exercise to total 150 minutes per week π§Ή Clean or tidy or declutter something every day ποΈ Use a fountain pen daily or do something creative βοΈ π«π· Work on French either on Duo Lingo or online reading something in French βοΈ βοΈ Weigh every morning βοΈ <165.2>
I had an OP day yesterday and was rewarded on the scale. I saw an interesting quote and am contemplating how to implement this quote:
βYou will never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.β β John C. Maxwell
We are all working on "change" but what ONE little change could I make (cleaning the sink after every meal or walking daily come to mind but...something simple and quick is my first choice)
I wish the weather was nicer! Ah well...it will improve and soon I will wish it would rain, the clouds would dim the heat of the sun, and I will have forgotten how much I was hoping for warmer (not hot) weather.

Another OP day under my belt. Will walk today. Hope to talk to our children this weekend but both are traveling so it might not be easy - especially with our iffy internet.
We have leftovers I can reheat for lunch so won't be cooking and I need to decide what yeast bread to make to take on Wednesday. I also need to post the review I wrote last night and will read while walking for thirty minutes after lunch.
Hope we all have a good day!

Had intermittent internet all day yesterday and none for hours this morning. It is here now but who knows for how long. I ended up "eating my frustration" yesterday, switched to a program that allows zero-point fruits as they are healthier to snack on than what I snacked on yesterday. Need to find a yeast bread recipe to bake and take on Wednesday so have books out to peruse.
Hope you all are having a good weekend!

March 24 My goals for this 100 days are: π Track every BLT βοΈ πΆββοΈ Walk or do some other form of exercise to total 150 minutes per week π§Ή Clean or tidy or declutter something every dayβοΈ 90 minutes or more working/cleaning in the kitchen ποΈ Use a fountain pen daily or do something creative βοΈ π«π· Work on French either on Duo Lingo or online reading something in French βοΈ Just finished Unit 13 and am moving on to Unit 14. I sometimes wonder if I should continue or quit and just how many units there actually are! βοΈ Weigh every morning βοΈ <164.6> (down a bit from yesterday)
The wind has picked up and the sun is being covered by clouds. It has been cool. I think rain may be blowing in again. It rained last night. I am going to see if the yeast I have is "good" still or not and try it out. I might make bunny buns (buns shaped like rabbits) or easter egg shaped buns to see if they work and if not, make something else for wednesday. We will see. The internet conked out again so I made lunch and then did a LOT of cleaning and am sitting down again with an iced latte and ready to tackle what is next on my to-do list...probably reading.
KAREN: Sounds like a lovely time with your grandchildren. How was the escape room? My granddaughter was going to go to one with her friends for her birthday but they didn't have enough to do it as planned. Can't remember what she did instead.

Hi everyone! Busy day yesterday! The time is flying by. Book Club today. We will discuss Beyond That, the Sea by Laura Spence-Ash. I liked it! I am being picked up at 12:30. I think there will be 7 of us there today. We will meet at Polka Dot Pound Cake in Rockville Centre. It's warm & cozy. And I know what I'm having. Did some grocery shopping with DH yesterday. Easter dinner will be at my sister's house and we will bring a few things to add to the meal. Made my steps yesterday Slept at least 7 hours No decluttering Got outside Cathy, the Escape Room gave us only 1 hour and we definitely needed more time. She did say we did well considering that 2 of the "solvers" were 8 & 11. She said we got further along than most. The difficulty was 7 out of 10 and they had nothing lower, or easier, that that. Maybe other places do. It was fun. I thought I'd be better at it than I actually was. Humbling. I will try again for sure at a different place though. Your buns sound adorable! Waving to everyone!!

Quick stop...have had a few busy days and am tired though it is not late. Wasn't able to sleep in as I had to be out the door earlier than usual.
I have almost 250 days of DuoLingo under my belt and wonder if I have or have not improved.
More tomorrow if the internet permits...sometimes it doesn't.

March 28 My goals for this 100 days are: π Track every BLT πΆββοΈ Walk or do some other form of exercise to total 150 minutes per week π§Ή Clean or tidy or declutter something every dayβοΈ 90 minutes or more working/cleaning in the kitchen ποΈ Use a fountain pen daily or do something creative βοΈ π«π· Work on French either on Duo Lingo or online reading something in French βοΈ did one lesson and then the game froze and wouldn't move forward or backward so have it to do again later βοΈ Weigh every morning βοΈ <167.4> (up after the many tastings of Easter yeast leavened breads with toppings and beverages and then dinner later at night. Oh well...)
Some errands to run today, stop by the pharmacy and the veterinarian for meds for humans and frontline for Bella. Have cards this afternoon and need to figure out what to make for lunch today.
I have so many books I am behind in reading...will do what I can but probably not much today.

Saturday March 30th Happy Easter to all who are celebrating! I'm not doing too well with my goals today. I keep telling myself that now that it's Spring I will be up & out and getting it done. Evidence shows the contrary. Time for a shift. I have plans for today and I am seriously going to tackle them, and celebrate the heck out of even small victories! It's gorgeous out - sunny, but cool and breezy too. Wishing us all blessings and happiness! Waving!

HAPPY EASTER to all who celebrate!
This month has been truly a hectic month but I must say it shouldβve been very productive and Iβm proud of what Iβve been able to accomplish. So far Iβve been able to keep up with my StepBet. Who would believe that I could get 12,000 steps done indoors.??!! Allergies have been unrelenting, so I wonβt get to walk outside this season. period. .This is week four next week will be difficult because Iβll be away for, my son and daughter-in-lawβs baby shower/celebration of their 10th wedding anniversary. I have no excuse though because Iβll be able to use the hotel gym and I found some very ingenious ways to add steps to my day. π Abel is suffering with some arthritis, but he still managing to take care of the grounds when the weather cooperates. Iβm hitting all of my goals except for duo for some reason I canβt seem to get to it during the time when I can be alone I have finished my book though, and it was excellent beginning to read just for leisure what a novel concept ! I do miss posting here, even though I am always lurking to see how everyone is doing. Like you, Karen, I vow to be back in full force, but I have to wait until after I get back from all the goings-on.
Cathy I hope all is well even though your internet has been wonky. Karen we have to remember to be kind to ourselves. Give yourself some grace. Youβve been an energizer bunny for the last couple of months. Thank goodness itβs mostly good things going on for you and the family, escape rooms and all. I hope that the hearing aid and dental issues are behind you. By the way, Iβd like to know what brand of hearing aid you use. Thatβs my next item. Iβm in desperate need. Iβm so tired of not being able to fully participate in conversations and not hearing the television without blasting it or having to use my AirPods with the Live Listen feature. Iβm grateful for that much, at least. Pam, enjoy your trip! We will be traveling back home that day. Not great timing for us π
Waving to everyone ππ½
