Saturday’s intentions Finish sealing the grout in the third section of the kitchen. Yay! Check whether or not one more coat of sealer is needed. If so, then will apply it today and/or Sunday.
Shift gears and focus on other tasks: laundry, cooking, vacuuming, and so on.

MJ Ugh! Hope that you do not get soaking wet. And that you can can get warm and dry sooner rather than later. Your own afghan and fluffy pup will be welcome after a day out in the elements. Maybe some extra coffee would be nice, too.

I had an OP day yesterday and plan to do the same today. I have a review ready to post and will proofread it then post it this morning. I plan to read while walking for thirty minutes and tackle some kitchen chores. I need to finalize what I will take to the yeast baking event on Wednesday and see if the yeast I have that is expired but still in the tin is viable. The cat has not come for a meal yet this morning so hope she is okay and just ate a lot of rodents last night so doesn't want tinned food.
June: It must feel good to have accomplished so many updates on your house's interior!
MJ: Do they drill in the rain in the military? I had never thought about it but...I suppose they do...ugh! I don't know why I started chuckling at the end of your thread and mention of "the red thread" but it sure sounds like a "comedy of errors" with no solution in the near future. As long as you are not stressed and don't have money in the game and can observe without taking flak...enjoy?
SUSI: I like your idea of "splurge" vs "reasonable get together" - Most are not a splurge but tend to become one and that is on me...not the group. Thank you for the update on Ann. Sorry she is having eye issues and Benjamin has Cushing's Disease.
LADONNA: I'd consult a different doctor. Are your hands swollen or just painful? My first thought was gout but it usually has swelling. I googled and there are some other reasons for hand pain besides arthritis. If you have a general practitioner that you trust or other doctor, you could consult with them and then have them refer you to the specialist they believe might be most helpful.
BEE: I can't imagine a bear killing a horse...horses kick and carry on but then...bears can be deadly. Is there a reason you are off bread and not eating nuts?
Bella just showed up. No idea where she's been hiding out and why she is having her first meal at noon.
Our daughter is at a conference in Chicago and our son and and his family arrived in Singapore after over 24 hours of travel and there are nice photos they are all sharing of what they are seeing.

June - You are really making progress MJ - Hope the rain stays light for you this morning. It's only moderate here so far. Cathy - Glad Bella showed up and that you had an OP day. LaDonna - Have you tried Voltaren for your hands? It helps me. Bee - Sounds like you are finding your groove again. Ann - Stay well
Ferals fed (although they didn't show up), Lily walked (short one in the rain), breakfast, cut and color. It's getting increasingly worse outside. I will keep busy in the kitchen and around the house and a nap

JUne, sounds like a good day.
MJ, hope it all works well in the rain.
Cathy, I was at my son's for a week with no bread that had yeast in it, only spinach and tomato basil tortillas. Clyde was extremely calm during that time. So, I have decided to stay off of it, maybe only do it once a week like meat. As to nuts, they cause a lot of gas. I did try some walnuts yesterday afternoon, chewed them well, and the extra gas happened. I will try pistachios today.
Susi, my free day once a week is a splurge. LOL
LaDonna, praying the pain in your arms and hands is lessening.
I came here to announce that it has only taken me 17 years to finally get within 4 ozs of my goal weight set in 2007. I didn't want to be skinny, so I had to get a doc to sign off on the weight I wanted.
For 17 years I have played at WW. What was important to me was to be on no meds. To look at food as my medicine.
Hope ALL have a great day!

Bee Congratulations for working to create a healthy relationship with food (mind, body, and spirit)! Congratulations on being basically at GW! Interesting that you felt better without bread. The torilla wraps like you ate at Mike’s do add “something.” Usually, a wrap just seems more appealing.
LaDonna Sending you a big, warm hug and prayers. That swelling, pain, and weakness in your hands has to be extremely frustrating and hard. Hope that consulting the ortho specialist gets you started on the path of healing and better health. After R’s ortho problems, I understand how overwhelming and confusing it can be. But the upside is that the ortho specialists got him fixed up so he can do so much.
Mj Hope all goes well the drill today. Kressling would be a first-rate adult helper! And spending time with him at the YM and over dinner is a big plus. lol. . . Toots and his maneuvering to deploy the BK coupon made me laugh. MB: will be interesting to hear what he does say when he breaks radio silence regarding emails. Hmmm. . . Why would anyone want to pull “red thread” without fixing the current issues?
Susi Happy birthday to your dear sister, Carol Hope that your weekend has an equal amount of fun/excursions and relaxation/nesting.

I forgot to add, one other thing I noticed about being off bread and nuts, is that I have not been extremely bone breaking cold. That is so amazing to me.

Bee That’s an interesting observation about bread and nuts. Spinach is the one food that I can really “feel” has an impact. My brain chemistry responds with a sense of “wellness” and “even” emotional state.

Late check in to read posts.., I slept in this morning and then had some things I had to do. It took me a while to get going. I took Aleve first thing this morning then some tylenol a few time thruout the day. I did put rub my hands with voltaren and it helped some but not my index fingers...they hurt the most and are very swollen. Tomorrow at church is our annual Palm Sunday service with a covered dish and egg hunt following. Haley and Renee will be going with us. I bought food to take as I'm not up to cooking. .Praying you all have a peaceful night.
