Sundayβs intentions Enjoy a fund raising pancake breakfast with my sister, K, and R. Itβs for the robotic team to which her grandchildren belong.
Home renovations proceed onward. . . List is whittling down. Celebrating that the kitchen & dining room floor is done! Scrubbed & grout fully resealed w/ 3 coats.
Got the paint for R. to repaint the kick board under the kitchen cabinets.
Will look at other paint options for the bathroom since I donβt really like how βgreenβ that the aqua appears. Will see. But we but agree that itβs better to repaint it before the new flooring is installed. Itβs a very small bathroom. So itβs not a big job.
This girl will start scrubbing the tile shower walls & bathroom floors. Itβs a much easier job than the kitchen/ dining room!

Our internet is still an issue. I found myself eating things I didn't want or need due to frustration. Spent hours trying to do simple things because internet was slow or not there at all.
Today will be a better day. Reset to a program on the app that has zero-point fruits and the plan is to reach for a fruit when frustrated rather than something with points.
Tried to talk to our daughter without luck...even using G4 and paying extra, the phone cut out. Not sure if we will be able to talk to our son and his family or not. I know they are busy sightseeing in Vietnam.
Going to continue looking for a recipe to take Wednesday - have bread cookbooks out - wish me luck.
More later but sending now while there is internet...again.

Cathy So sorry that your internet service is unreliable. Good strategy for resetting your food choices. Am interested in hearing what you select. I would say that I make a mean cinnamon roll. . . But R would tell you that I havenβt made a batch in several years.

Good Palm Sunday, all!
Prayers still going up for those in the path of storms... many, MANY prayers... there are many, MANY storms... and fires, too, that never seem to go away...
Prayers for all our loved ones who are in particular need...

Yesterday's YM drill went well despite the heavy rain that prevented any outdoor PT. They were able to do their testing indoors and most of the unit has a set of scores to start off 2024. We did shorten the drill day, sending everyone home at noon. Good thing, since the rains intensified after that but we knew our people were home and safe, especially the ones who have to travel any distance. We gave them a break around 10:30 AM and let them eat something out of their lunch bags but the Kressling & I didn't eat until we got home.
We had a wonderful surprise when Giovanni, the YM who was honorably discharged in 2022, came in for a visit; he's home for a visit from his USMC station, 29 Palms CA. The Kressling was delighted to catch up with him!
The Kressling hung out here for a good part of the afternoon and Pippin was thrilled to keep him company. There were two NASCAR races: Craftsman Truck series at 1:30 PM and Xfinity at 5 PM, on COTA (Circuit of the Americas), a road course in TX. Dinner was meat lasagna and mixed vegetables and evening TV was not too shabby!
Today? My thoughts turn to a relaxing, peaceful day <jinx><jinx>. The rain's gone and the sun is brilliant but it is cold (33* feels like 25*, only going to mid 40*s). So I'll sit in a sunbeam as much as I can, make my menu plan for this week (got to shop no later than Wednesday; it's Holy Week, after all), and maybe - MAYBE - do some CinderElla/Fella tasks. I'm not sure about dinner...
Coffee... βββ... morning prayer in a glorious sunbeam on Palm Sunday...
πππππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππππππππππ
MπΊB & T: I had agreed to check a test email "after 4 PM" yesterday so even though I was home earlier I did not hint that I was available . Sh!t hit the fan at 6:39 PM when they realized that the "sequenced" emails for the day did not initiate properly but MB wanted the one that was missed sent out anyway. This meant that another one - a duplicate text - had to be re-written so it was all new and spiffy; it was no longer being sent to a "filtered" group but broadcast. <thhhbbbpppttt>. When I finally figured out what they-all wanted, it took less than 5 minutes to re-jig it.

Mj Good Palm Sunday to you, too! Preserving and adapting paid off for the YMβs drill. Bet you were relieved that all were home early as the connect rainfall intensified. How cool that Kressling could a his former squad member. lol. . . Of course Pippin loved hanging another family member! Goodness. . .how can Easter Sunday be approaching so fast? Yep, a midweek grocery is in order. I have most of what I would need for a holiday dinner on hand. But we could use some fruit & milk.
MB strikes again. . .
