Happy Easter - Hope you have a nice day Ginny - Hope you enjoy the time with your family and that the cat sitting is going well. Ruth - Sorry to hear about the problems with your package delivery. I hope that you can get things worked out this coming week. Your waffle stitch hats sound pretty. This morning I finished making some floating star blocks that I'm doing for my monthly Rainbow Scrap Challenge, so I'm caught up with March now. The color for April will be Yellow, so I'll be working on those blocks in the next few weeks. I also cleaned out my machine and put in a new needle, I hadn't done that since December I hope I can pick a fun project to work on next. I still have several sets of blocks from last year's quilt alongs to put into quilt tops, but I'm not feeling motivated to do those. Take care and have a good day!

CJ,you take very good care of your machines. During those past couple months you weren't doing as much sewing due to your moving and house selling issues so I'm sure your machine is working as great as ever despite not being cleaned or needle changed during that time.
Well we actually have 3 packages missing rather than 2.I don't know why Amazon splits the orders like they do. We did have one package delivered to our door today but it wasn't one of the three. We're expecting two more tomorrow so hopefully they have things straightened out. I'll be calling the post office first thing to find out what they say about this.I'm not happy with this obviously new mail carrier.
I worked on dd's afghan last evening and today and am seriously thinking of changing it to lapghan size rather than throw size. I'm just getting tired of working on it. It's a very pretty pattern but tedious. I don't like things that take a long time to do.I keep seeing so many other things I'd like to make.
I hope you both had a good day. Mine wasn't all that great with hubby upset by his missing packages. I hate to see him upset.

Blessed Easter!!!
Ruth, doing a little reading between the lines here, I hope that Dh calms down and that tomorrow your packages are located. I know with amazon, even Walmart and Joanns, it can look like they do not know what they are doing- with multiple packages, but if the items are coming from different distribution centers then they mail the items separately. That sure stinks, and is so frustrating however. Here Amazon usually has delivery persons take pictures of the packages when they are delivered…but if it is going to a locker and not your door step they might not do that. Optimistically maybe your have a temporary mail person, while yours is on vacation. Of course you will do what is best for DD’s afghan…yes larger projects sure can get tedious as they get larger.
CJ- yellow is such a bright and pretty color to work with for April!!! (I do love yellow). Hope that you find working with bright yellow fabrics cheery. Well now you have your machine all ready to work on whatever inspires you…or putting together the blocks from last years quilt alongs. With all that has gone on in your life in the past month or so, it’s no surprise that you did not get around to changing your needle and cleaning your machine. Gosh only a few weeks ago you still were in boxes and did not have your machine set up!!
Sillyme, hope that you check in when you can..
So lets see, this am started off super early, with driving to take care of the cat. Now I did see the cat every time I went to feed him, but he did not really want me there…so I would quickly pet him and then he would hiss at me. Oh I know he just wants his owner back and I know he was eating, so it’s no big deal. Then had to go to church - warm up and get set for the music that I was helping with. Church went well, and then I came home to prepare for having my family over. With all the grandkids here it was a whole lot crazy but they had fun and it was a good day. I am so glad I have nothing to do tomorrow!!!
Might en up going to HL tomorrow, or in the next day or so. I dropped off a cross stitch made by my DSIL to have it framed and ordered a picture for a friend. Both are ready for pickup.
A few short hours till Monday!!
