Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Yesterday was a very busy day at work. I still have things to do when I get in. Not making extra $$ this week, I’m taking Saturday off instead. I go to DBs, get basket blessed, enjoy the food … our Easter tradition.
Ruth - that’s a lot of snow. I guess I won’t complain about the snow we got over the weekend. It’s already gone, it was a beautiful day yesterday.
I want to run to the store to pick up some elastic. Need to repair my Easter basket cover.
See ya tomorrow.

Joyce, sounds like the dealership has been busy lately. That’s good that you and Tammy can switch days.
Ruth, sorry to hear the snow blower didn’t work when Stan really needed it. That’s great that YDD came out to help him. Were the roads good enough for you to get to your dental appointment? Making appointments can be so time consuming. Bill is very faithful about using his C Pap, he forgot one night and started snoring almost immediately. I woke him up and told him to put his C Pap on and then both of us were able to get some sleep.
The window installation seems to be going along okay. It is noisy, there are 2 crews working. In both bedrooms we have bay windows, which actually consist of 3 windows. One crew is working in the master bedroom and the other in the guest bedroom. Their goal is to have those finished late afternoon. We have to leave around 4:15 to go to the dinner theater but a friend will come and check on things once they leave if they are still here when we leave. They are very neat, drop clothes on all the furniture in the rooms they are working on and runners on the floors also.

Good afternoon all. We got rain overnight and then suddenly it switched over to snow and was colder than they thought sooner than they thought and so we have a layer of ice under another layer of snow. We got another 3-4” this morning. Was snowing hard when we left for the dentist. Thankfully he’s just over a mile away, out on the main highway. Roads were nasty. Got to the dentist and waited quite a while. Noticed an electric company truck there and a workman when they finally took me back. Turns out when they got there at 6:30 am they had no power across the entire back of the building. It looks like a house from the street and backs onto a small lake. So the entire lakeside had no power. That’s where the office and 3/4 of their exam rooms are located. They were able to get an electrician out really fast (surprising) and he discovered a breaker was out. Turns out it had water in it. Found more water in their basement and now they need a company to find where the water is coming in and stop it. So I’m not sure I had their entire attention. They first did a mold for a temporary crown. Then she used the swabs to start numbing that side of my mouth. Then he came in and did 3 or more shots in a half dozen places to numb it. They took off the old crown (not easy to do and involves lots of grinding); took out the old filling; cleaned out the cavity; did a new filling; did a mold for the new crown; put on the new temp crown; took x-rays and finally after 90+ min they let me go home.
Stan had plans to go to his acupuncture treatment this afternoon but I didn’t want him to due to the bad roads. When we pulled onto our street, our next door neighbor was out getting ready to blow his driveway. He works for MNDOT and had just gotten home from work. He said they were shocked how fast the roads got bad this morning and he said if we didn’t have to go out this afternoon, don’t!! So Stan took him up on it and called and changed his appt to Friday afternoon.
Stan isn’t sure if it was batteries or the blower that was the issue or the wet heavy snow. He’s out using it now on the new snow we got this morning. Sounds like it’s working for him. We were so happy to see YDD yesterday to help him shovel. Told her I’d do her laundry for her when they do their remodel. Changing the unfinished attic into a master suite. And moving the laundry from the basement to Harper’s current bedroom. The stairs will turn and go up in there too. Harper will get her parents’ current bedroom. The current steps up to the attic are in Sawyer’s room and she has a tiny 12” closet so she’ll get a big closet. And more floor space because they’ve always had a big wardrobe in her room to make up for the tiny closet. They plan to start that the day the kids are done with school. We may have H/S some extra this summer and maybe their parents too. Depends on how tired they get of living in a construction zone. Stan says the snow blower worked perfectly today. Not sure if it’s the difference in the snow or what.
We are to get really cold and anything left on roads and parking lots and sidewalks will be ice! Gotta take it really carefully.
Not a lot else going on. Dottie, hope you like the windows. Joy, nice to be able to switch days and get a weekend day off. Sounds like you are really busy at work. Waving to Martha.
More tomorrow! DD coming early afternoon. Hopefully roads will be not icy by then!
