Good morning! It's been rainy here and chilly. Just yuck! Work has been busy although the higher ups don't seem to think we are. We have had 100 orders and 100 quotes this month and just 2 of us. The months before this big change it was a lot less. Anyway I'm doing pretty good on hitting my goals set by Marissa the nutritionist. I still use MFP to log and she can see it.

I finally got my Edge back last Thursday. They had it over a month. So glad to have it back. Went to Aldis to get most of the food for Easter dinner. Theult had spiral sliced ham for $1.49 a lb. Everywhere else was $3 lb. So I got 2, one to take on vacation up the lake. I'm glad I have my meal figured out.
Sunday I made nut bread. An Easter tradition. It tells most of the day. They turned our really good
I've been riding the recumbent bike 2 days a week and doing strength training 1 day. Did that yesterday, upped my weight and boy do I feel it this morning. I may try to flip that for this week to 2 strength training and 1 RB day. Although my weight is up this morning. I meet with Marissa today.

Carole, when do you leave for AZ. You will have a great time. So the didn't invite you to thr rewards banquet ? Why nit that just doesn't make sense. Weather is cold and rainy here. Are the GKs helping you bake? We're you at the fb live when the new coach got introduced? He seems knowledgeable.
Gabrielle, ysy for the good blood work do far. Hope the rest comes back good. Waiting for the results of my blood work from the endocrinologist to see if my estrogen get upped.

Good morning!
Thanks for getting us going, Jo...it is good to see you! It is cold today and feeling it especially as we are still having a problem with our thermostat that they are trying to diagnose. It could be colder though (I need to remember that). So I ended up buying a car last night....I was done talking about it. I bought the same model I have (but it's a lot different 8 years later) in a different color. It is "used" with 7000 miles on it and got a huge price break due to that--I really do like it. I think that DH would have loved for something sportier, but I am super happy with it and that ultimately makes him feel better about it too. Oh, but it takes FOREVER to buy a car. So many hours--- glad that it is over. Tomorrow I hand over the keys to my old car to the friend. Kind of bittersweet---it's been a good car. Okay, now you don't have to hear me talk about it any more! LOL.
Jo: I love that you have those traditional things that you cook. The pierogis, the bread....nice traditions! Say, have you come to any conclusions about Emilie staying home this summer and DH going with you to the lake? I hope that you have worked it all out. Wow, sounds like work is busy...maybe that is a good thing? I hope that your appointment with the endocrinologist goes well. Mine is on Monday and they are switching it to virtual so I guess that is good news? Anyway, I will see after Monday. Oh, that is right--you are working with a nutritionist. How is that going? Did you learn anything surprising from her? I have always wondered about that. Hope that today is a good day for you.
Karen: So good to see you and to get an update. So you are not on Spring break I think? Wow, tutoring so early in the morning! Here in CA, they passed a LAW that school for middle and high school students can not start before 8:00 or 8:30 am (I can't remember which). I found it kind of shocking. It sounds like the wedding planning is pretty much done (especially for you!) I love that it is at a clogging place and fits right in with the kids and what they would want. I look forward to hearing how it all goes. I can see why you would miss seeing Isaac every day now that he has the new job....but it does sound like it was what he was preparing for--good for him! Wow, I can't believe how "adult" he is now Time seems to fly by, doesn't it? How are things going with the girls? Will both be at Isaac's wedding? I hope that things are going well for you.

Sue: I am so excited for you and your company this weekend! We know that you love your time with David. It also sounds like your back/ribs are improving enough for you to be back to your pool time? Nice! Hoping that today is a good day for you.
Carole: Wow about the award? Do you think it is possible that they THINK someone invited you? I mean, they have been a little disorganized about some things in the past, right? I am glad that you got your plaque though. I would be the same as you...not really ready to get excited about the AZ trip until some of the other things (like the bake sale) were taken care of. A couple of wonderings though: Maybe you could start a list of what to pack (just generally like "3 prs of shorts") and then you might feel better? Also, since it is a warm place and you are not doing formal things, it is MUCH easier to pack, don't you think? I want you to love that trip! I am really hoping for great travel, warm temperatures, and a great trip for you.
Jenny: How is your week going? Hoping that your mom is feeling better and that things are calm on the "Barbie" front.....
Christine: I think that you are back from Fulton County by now, right? Hoping that it all went as expected and that you had a good trip travel-wise.
Okay, I am going to start getting ready for work. I am hoping to get in early and get some things done. I need to talk to my other program assistant who tends to hold on to everything to get her to pass some work over to my new PA. I am filling her time, but I know that there is a lot more that she could be learning and doing (but the other assistant kind of likes controlling things). Fun times! See you all later.

Gigi: Emily will be at the wedding and Eleanor will be in it. Isaac didn't invite Anna (although I wish he had so it wouldn't be on his shoulders) He also didn't invite my parents - even though they wouldn't have come. He didn't invite my sister and her family either. My oldest stepson will be coming (without his family) from Colorado but Gideon is not invited. I would have decided things differently - but it isn't my wedding and it will have to be ok.
The chapel only holds about 50 people - so many people are only invited to the reception. I am way more inclusive - but again, I'm not making the decisions.
As for tutoring at 7am. I said I would help but I would NOT help after school. I don't like to wait for their rides to eventually come. If they're late... or don't come... I'm ok with that. Maybe that's horrible. I'm just ready to go home at the end of the day.

Good Morning Jo ♥ Thanks for starting us off today. We are rainy and cold here too. Might hit 40 today, but I doubt it. Sorry work is crazy busy, and you are down to 2 people. Job security? {{{hugs}}} So glad you are working with Marissa... how's it going? Can you tell me how different it is from working with Kait?
We leave early Monday, 6:30 AM flight, so have to leave home around 2:15am. Decided not to bother with a hotel, since their shuttle to the airport starts at 6 AM, and we'd have to be over there before that. I don't get why I wasn't invited to the banquet - other than Christina in HR really doesn't like me? LOL With the weather I am not sure if we would have gone anyway. That was the day we got snow, sleet, rain, hail... lousy day! Tracy & Ken will be here to help with pies tomorrow, and Friday I will finish up on my own. No grandkids... no sisters... Only making 20 so it might be better with less help this time. I was on the Live, when Robert was introduced. He does seem to be knowledgeable, but I'm not sure he will be much help to me. He is obviously a work out coach! LOL
Sue: How fun to be planning a few days with David.
Gabrielle: YAY to buying a car!! When can you pick it up? It is weird to hand the keys over from the old. I never used to feel that way, but this time - handing the keys to Timothy, was "different". Still strange to see my old car back in my driveway too! LOL CONGRATULATIONS on making the decision and getting one more stress off your mind! I can't WAIT to hear all about the 8 years of change. Mine is the same way. I still haven't figured a couple of things out on the new one!
GMTA... I did start organizing for the trip yesterday. I got my blouses all ironed, so they are ready to pack. Pretty much packed, in a laundry basket for now, but most of what I need is ready. I wasn't going to pack sneakers and socks, but guess I will. Just in case we decide to do some walking. I'm usually good in flip flops, but not sure where we might decide to wander.
Today, I will organize our "household" stuff that we like to take with us. Just little things so we won't need to buy some things for just the few days.
Good luck with your day, and getting the control freak to hand some work over to the assistant looking for work to do!
Karen: Oh dear... yes, I hear you, but those decisions were not your to make. Glad you didn't force the issue. I did, back when Matt was married. I insisted if they invited ANY cousins, they invited ALL the cousins. Well turns out only the ones he wanted to invite attended. Most never even sent the RSVP back, and I was contacting them to see if they had forgotten or not coming! Matt & Patti never held it against me, but I wish I had just not wasted the time and energy needed to try to include the rest! Anyway... IF anything is said, remember it's not on you.

Carole - Thanks so much for understanding. I did press it a bit and told them that when everything was all done that I would be the one blamed. Isaac didn't budge... so I dropped it. I fully expect to hear about it (even though they wouldn't come anyway... but I will prepare for it and let it go.

Evening all...boy is it raw and chilly outside...it's in the upper 40's and rainy so just feels YUCK!! Couldn't wait to get home, get in my pj's and crawl into the recliner and snuggled under my fleece....days like this I'm glad I now have a laptop!!
Today was pretty steady with a MEAP dropping this morning...it wasn't too big so I was able to get it all printed....will get pick lists matched up with labels first thing in the morning so it will go over on the morning truck....the ship date isn't until Monday so plenty of time to get it shipped. Will have the next MEAP drop tomorrow and that is twice the size but still doable before the end of the month. There is a 3rd one but Tonya will hold that one until Monday so it drops on Tuesday....otherwise if she did it tomorrow and it dropped Friday we would all be working until midnight on Good Friday...NOT our plan. So it will wait until the 1st of April to be entered!! Mark was over and we told him the plan and he said....no problem!!
Now I can catch up....by the time I got home last night after my errands, Jason got home and we were chatting about the Francis Scott Key bridge collapse and what that will mean for the containers that he gets at work....could be interesting for the next several months until they get the port opened back up...things will be redirected to Norfolk, Trenton, Philly, NY....lots of extra travel for the trucks....Baltimore is the busiest port for imports of cars, farm equipment, raw materials and product.....I think they said 80% of the container ships come into Baltimore....
Carole....hope you got some good news from the furnace guy about moving the baseboard heat....nothing is cheap these days. So glad to hear you are figuring out the CPAP mask....I'm sure that the lack of water might be part of the headache issue. Good job getting back to basics!!
David and I plan on a cookout for supper on Saturday...I messaged Pat and she's coming mid afternoon for a 5:00 cookout so she can visit, eat and still get home before dark....she doesn't like to drive after dark....Sunday we will do sausage and French Toast, that's what David wanted for "sloppy breakfast"! Will pull a couple pork shoulders out of the freezer tomorrow to roast "low and slow" on Sunday for a nice dinner. I'm hoping Josh is kind enough to let the boys come for dinner but we'll see....he's not been the most cooperative lately!!
Sounds like you are in good shape for vacation, getting the laundry done....I need to start thinking about organizing some summer clothes for our trip to TX in a couple weeks...will be low 80's while we are there!! Hope you got the cubbies and closet cleared out and have all your supplies for pies...you start backing tomorrow, right???
Karen...so good to see you back among us!! Yes, I keep seeing pictures from Oak Island and Galveston...such fun memories!!
Jenny....bummer about the car battery. Hopefully it stays charged! Any idea what drained it?? How old is the battery...I know they don't last as long as they used to....hope DM is feeling better now! Does she just have a cold??? Your fish dinner sounds yummy...I love lemon, butter and dill with fish! I love the smell of my house after a day of cooking!! LOL Jenny....seems lots of us head to the dermatologist this month...I was there for my annual skin check earlier in the month.
Karen...the wedding will be here before you know it....just over 3 weeks now!! Congrats to Isaac for finishing up school and landing the job as a diesel mechanic. I knew the job at your school was just temporary while in school. So glad he's loving his new job. How is Marissa's job going?? I know she wasn't thrilled with the new job but took it because she needed to work to support the household bills with the new house and upcoming wedding!!

Gabrielle....thanks for starting us off yesterday....we too are hoping we are seeing the last of the chilly/cold days.....they say once the rains go through with the "cold front" tomorrow, then it will start to warm up again....I'm seeing lots of 60's in the 10 day forecast so fingers crossed it holds! So happy to hear that your assistant is AWESOME!! Feeling like she needs to do more and happy to get it when you loaded her up....that's a good thing! Has she met your replacement yet?? I'm assuming she will remain her assistant when you retire???
YAY for a good report from the dermatologist....that makes two of us! Hope Jenny gets the same A+ report too!! Yes, I'll be curious to hear what the doctor says about the hemoglobin....could it be med related? Guess you'll get all your answers on Monday!! Fingers crossed the Thyroglobulin come in under .9!!
Yes Gabrielle...I love waking up with houseguest! David and I are usually the first ones up and we are enjoying our coffee in the living room when everyone else rolls out of bed one my one. Yes, unfortunately it is Josh's weekend but I'm hoping with it being Easter weekend he will share time with the boys so they can not only see Sarah but also David and Katie....Kellen was bummed when he heard they were coming and he said "we will be at daddy's and won't get to see them"....broke my heart. I'm hoping that Josh will be kind like he was for Thanksgiving when it was his weekend and he let them come with us....I can only hope, right??? Thanks for the "grilling wrap" info....will need to look for them....heaven knows Amazon delivers here often enough if I can't find them here in town!
Karen...I checked out both the links you posted for the reception and rehearsal dinner....they both sound just like Isaac!! Nope, not your wedding so you just have to button your lip and not stress about it....if Isaac and Marissa aren't worried....guess they figure it will all fall into place!!
Carole....I love dried beef gravy on toast....I'm the only one that likes it so I have it every now and then when we go out....there is a restaurant that serves it over potatoes deep fried almost like a chip...it's fantastic!! Might need to have Jason take me there soon....last time I was there was last Mother's Day....
OK....finally getting hungry and it's almost 7:30....I ate late because I was busy and not I need something or I'll wake up with a headache.
Sweet dreams all....see you all tomorrow!
