Good morning!
I am leaving a little earlier (yikes, EVEN earlier) to fill my car with diesel before handing the key to the new owners. We got all of the paperwork complete last night (except for their part) and it is good to go. Then my new car can be parked in the garage again. So we got a fire going yesterday (since the heater is broken) and the heater started working again! Crazy thing....hoping that the warmer Spring weather hits us soon. Yesterday was good work day---got a lot done and continue to be amazed by my assistant's ability to grasp things quickly and get things done. Just....wow! I am going to file my retirement paperwork tomorrow and submit it online. We have the day "off" (I am not paid for it, but it is nice to have a Friday off!) so I will do that and a few other things preparing for DH's birthday on Saturday--he'll be 65! He is running a 50 miler one week later (next Saturday)--the one that I did a couple of years ago. Such an "old' man, LOL.
Sue: I didn't really understand the implications of that bridge collapse. I have just been mortified as they have been looking for people...I can't imagine. I didn't even think about what it meant for shipping, etc. Wow! The video of it all is terrifying. It reminded me of the Loma Prieta earthquake here in 1989 when freeways collapsed onto cars and the upper deck of the bay bridge fell onto the lower bridge. So frightening. Oh, I DO hope that Josh can find it in his heart to let the boys come visit with family....you never know. Is he still dating someone? I don't recall hearing. You and Carole talk about "chipped beef" and "chipped beef gravy"--I have never had it. I have had sausage gravy (like for biscuits and gravy) -- I used to babysit for a family from TX and they always made it for breakfast. Just one of those things that I don't hear about as much here in CA. Hoping that work goes well for you so that things end tomorrow on a good note. My doctor switched my appointment to a virtual appointment on Tuesday so we will see how it all goes! Yes, my assistant will remain with the new person. I think they will announce the new person next week.
Karen: Oh, I hear you and your thoughts about Isaac's decisions. Yes, we have to keep ourselves quiet about it. I am sure that he is also being a bit protective of you--don't you think? I find that the boys are kind of protective of me and I am thinking Isaac is the same way for you. I am just glad that, for your own kids, maybe there can be some healing---so, so sorry about your own parents and sister. Hey, I hear you on the early mornings. I actually think that it is preferable for parents...they can drop the kids off on the way to work. In CA, everything is complicated! As a principal, there were kids that I finally would drive home after no one picked them up (sometimes their parents said, "Have the principal drive you home." Sheesh. Hope that you are having a good end to your week.
Hello to Carole, Jo, Jenny, Christine, and all who follow. I am sure that I will have time to pop in later. Hope that your morning is off to a good start and that we can be thoughtful today---about taking care of ourselves.

Sue: Oh yesterday was awful cold here too. Thank goodness you can hold the last MEAP until 4/1! Definitely NOT a night you want to work OT. Yes, everyone is talking about the impact the bridge will have on so many things. Imports/Exports, driving, daily commutes...the list goes on. Glenn came and did some measuring, still haven't seen the price! LOL Oh Ken did call another contractor, and he is coming Tuesday 4/9! So this job we will have 2 estimates to look at. Oh I do hope Josh will let the boys come home for dinner. I know David would like to see them. Yes, cubbies and closet (floors) were cleaned out/off, and the flooring is DONE! I also got stuff ready for pies - but looking at the fruits today (after thawing) I will have to pull more, to finish pies tomorrow. No biggie - I just didn't want to pull more than I needed. I love Dried Beef Gravy, but never had it on toast. Just boiled potatoes, or bread. Interesting over fried potatoes?
Gabrielle: Thanks for starting us this very early morning. Is the new car diesel also? Do you already have the new one?? Glad the sale went smoothly. WOO HOO For a day off tomorrow, AND getting your retirement paperwork filled out and submitted. So glad your assistant is living up to your expectations. YIKES a 50 mile run? No wonder Ed is getting burnt out on running! LOL
THOUGHTFUL Thursday... not sure how much thinking will go into my day, other than getting pies made! We have enough food in the fridge for leftovers, so won't need to worry about cooking dinner! I will THINK about more water today. Tracy will be here so she will be a good one to remind me! LOL
OK Guess I had best get moving, going to be a long day!
♥hugs♥

Good Morning! (just barely) I was not feeling well yesterday. I worked for two hours on invoicing and took a sick day. My stomach/abdomin hurt and I couldn't sit up had to lay down for the pain to go away and I had GI issues, felt feverish. It was the strangest thing just all of a sudden. Well when I woke up. I went to bed at 9pm last night and slep soundly. I feel so much better today. I binge watched The Mandalorian ( Star Wars spin off) I just love baby Yoda. So now my work has piled up from yesterday. Yes I know job security. My Edoctrinologist upped my Etrogin patch. I'm hoping it helps. I was supposed to meet with Marissa (nutritionist) yesterday but messaged her that I wasn't feeling well so she reschedule d it to tomorrow morning. Emilie works on Easter Sunday, Steven will be here. I just asked him to invite his GF. Did I tell you he has a GF? She seems nice. They appear to be pretty serious. Emilie smashed her fingur in some money machine at work the other night. It's all red and brused. She bled over all the money. She is ok though.

Gabrielle, thanks for starting us. Yay for getting the new car. It's amazing the things they can add to new cars. I'm happy for you. I know it will feel strange to hand over the keys to your old car. Look at you delegating. I'm glad you found an assistant that can keep up with you. I just went Monday for blood work. the Dr is upping my estrogen patch. I go back to see him the end of April. He was the nicest Doctor I have ever met. An order guy. I hope you get good news from your Dr. We've had a cold snap here too but this week its going up to the upper 70s. I love that weather. I'm trying to pass these traditions on to my kids so hopefully one of them will make some of these things one day.
Karen, Congrats to Issac on the new job, marrage, he's growing up. The wedding sounds like it is perfect for the two of them. I agree with the others, It is not on you who Issac chose to invite to the wedding. That is come early tudoring geez but I don't blame you I wouldn't want to stay after work either.
Carole, It's weird but alot of what Marissa says is similar to Kait but Marissa helps ME decide what goals to set. She doesn't tell me. Dont' get me wrong I love Kait. I would n't have thought that little difference would make a big difference but thinking back on both their styles I think that's a key point. I'm actually working out 3 times a week. I'm doing the recumbent bike 2 times and a strength trainging once. Next week I'm going to switch that to 2 strength training and 1 RB. I hate to admit it but I actually like the strength training. I feel good. and you know I hate to workout as much as you do. You should utilize Robert get some pointers on workouts. you will be exercising anyway. The protein Marissa advised to eat is a little less then Joe's program. She doesn't tell me to do anything she helps me decide. GF 20 pies is still alot of pies, geez. Hope it warms up for you.
Sue, seeing that bridge collapse was scary. That is crazy just how big of an impact that will make. Enjoy your time with David and family. How long are they visiting?
Waves to all who follow, Jenny, Christine.

Heading to bed….thought we wouldn’t see the boys until Sunday if Josh was kind and gave Sarah time on Easter Sunday….well since Jason is off tomorrow Sarah asked him to let the boys come here tonight….tomorrow is a Grandpa and boys day! 💙💙💙Happy heart here! Boys were so happy to be truly “home”! Love that as soon as they walk through the door they say “hi Grandma, I’m home!” Have been enjoying some bonus time with them!
Hope all had a great day….was busy at work and a trip to Sam’s then prepping veggies, then the boys arriving 💙💙 my evening got away from me….sweet dreams all!
