Hereβs Cathy post for Thursday, March 28th
Mar 28, 2024 2:57:51 GMT -4 cathygeha said: It was fun yesterday though more points/calories than I usually take in and a LOT of yeasty delicious goodness along with sugary stuff. I am back on track today and will run errands, go to the pharmacy, and play cards with friends this afternoon.
I can think before I eat and track every bite today.

Thursdayβs intentions Enjoy that first cup of tea after sleeping in later than usual. Stayed up late. Clean the kitchen cabinet doors and countertops. Clean the bathroom cabinet and fixtures.
Gotta say that it was fully worth the time and effort to scrub the floors and reseal the grout. Both floors look βrefreshed.β
Will need to see what we might want from the grocery store.

June - Glad you are happy with how the floors turned out. Bee - Enjoy your family time Cathy - Glad your yeast day went well. Enjoy playing cards LaDonna - Did Laken's electric get sorted out? Enjoy spring break MJ - Hope all is well. I'll be checking the Shoprite markdowns today and tomorrow Ann - Hope all is well
It was a quiet night. Got in a walk with Lily just before it started raining. This morning I finally boiled the eggs for the deviled eggs. I'll do the bulk of the shopping tomorrow since I am off, but want to pick up a few things tonight to get a head start. Still need to find out what time Jazz/Sean/Torin are coming tomorrow to determine when I want to set up the living room and dining room. This year there will only be 16 so that's easily manageable.
S - Usual coffee B - Chili relleno, salsa, ff Greek yogurt, jalapenos L - Ham/salami/provolone on 647 wheat with artichoke salad D - May pick up something at the supermarket or pizza E - Walking and stretching

Nothing really new going on - Renee and her parents came over to eat with us last night. I made a pot of potato soup and had bacon and cornbread as the sides. Afterwards, I gave Renee her Easter present which was a little push ride on car and she loved it! She knew just what to do with the wheel...she was just a grinning and laughing...such joy. A few more hours and I'm on spring break until April 8...yay me.
June, love that you and R are still rocking the home improvements and are please with the tile refresh.
Bee, enjoy the family time.
Susi, hope you get some good deals. You would not even believe the mess with the electrity. After almost two weeks we find out the inspector sent the ticket to the wrong electric vendor. This past Monday he supposedly sent to the correct vendor but as of yesterday THEY had NOT showed up, so this morning Laken called and they claimed they never got the ticket from the inspectors office...she called me crying like a baby around 10 or so. We called the inspector and he was livid that they told us that and was going to do some checking (He claims he hand delivered the ticket Monday) - Still have not heard anything except that the power company told Laken it would be Monday before they could do it as tomorrow is a holiday. We are hoping if the inspector can prove he sent it in on Monday they will send someone today. This has been so upsetting and is holding us up.
Cathy, enjoy your back on track day.

Cathy Sounds like the potluck of yeasty breads was a smashing success. Glad that you enjoyed yourself. Hope that you have lots of fun today!
Susi You are on top of those holiday plans! How exciting that you will get to spends time with Jazz & her family. Know that the food will be great! Did you get to the grocery? I didnβt. After I washed down the cabinets, I washed the baseboards and walls. I need to grab a ladder to get the top of the walls washed. But that is a job for tomorrow.
Bee Should be a great get together with your family! Enjoy every moment.
LaDonna Thatβs great that your break extends to April 8th. Need to pay more attention, but I think that local schools closing on April 8th. Not sure why the lunar eclipse qualifies as a reason for a day off. Our area is directly in the eclipse pathways. So itβs big deal, maybe? My library and other places are giving away free cheapie glasses. Ugh. . . How frustrating for Laken. That isnβt the introduction to homeownership that we would want for her. Fingers crossed that her electric is βfixedβ ASAP.
Well, team Ladd is still on the job. Thatβs for sure. Am going to investigate the newer polymer molding. Would be nice not to have to sand and paint the trim pieces. Have a feeling though that it would be quite pricey. Will see.
MJ Hope that is a sunbeam and a good cup of coffee in the mix for you.
Ann Waving a cheery hello if you are dropping in.

Prayers still going up for those in the path of storms... many, MANY prayers... there are many, MANY storms... and fires, too, that never seem to go away...
Prayers for all our loved ones who are in particular need...

Yesterday was IN-ter-est-ing. I had a long chat with someone at YM/HQ about some details as we tidy up our unit's online records. Our Commander and XO had done a bit of "flying by the seat of their pants" over the years; it worked thus far but needs some polishing up. I worked on YM stuff for a while after that but it's slogging through online records <insert eye-roll emoji here>. The Kressling came in after each part of his split shift (2 hrs AM / 2 hrs PM). DDIL called to talk about various bits of support over the next couple of days since Son#1 is heading out to his Guys' Weekend in the Woods. <drum roll> The MousekeAfghan is FINISHED. It's all bagged up and ready for delivery for Easter.
Today Pippin had a spa day. We dropped him off at 9 AM and then went to ShopRite. I will continue inventorying the M65s and get some of them into the washer. We needed to make arrangements with the Kressling to get him to his afternoon training session and also picked up the Zigster from aftercare. Yeah... that sounds like enuf.
Coffee... βββ... got a fresh pot brewing for the evening...
πππππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππππππππππ
