This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning everyone. Lora we are envious of your weather in VA. It is still gray and raining here this morning. It is supposed to clear up some time tonight and the next 2 days are supposed to be beautiful. I really hope it is. I am itching to get out and do some yardwork. It will probably be too wet tomorrow to do too much  Susie sorry you got drenched yesterday. Janet I have used instacart before but it has been awhile. I don't get any sort of delivery where I live now except mail, UPS, Fed Ex and Amazon. I never had any instacart issues. Jill I hope your spring break is going well. Still not a lot going on with me. My finger is still healing. We picked up Zeke yesterday and he seems super anxious and he didn't seem that way after his first ACL surgery. Spoke to R this morning and he's panting pretty heavily. If we can't get him to calm down - I am going to call the surgeon and see what else we can do for him. I don't know if he is in pain or what is going on with him It makes me sad that he can't tell us. Last night I tried to get him settled but if I left the room he would follow me. I finally sat near him and read a book and he finally settled down until we went to bed. Apparently we got rid of the soft cone we had - I have no idea why I would have thrown it away but I can't find it. After work today I am going to run to the Pet Store and pick up another one because he definitely seems to like the soft one better. (it blows up like a pillow and sort of looks like one of those round airplane pillows but Velcros around his neck. I hope everyone has a great day and stays dry and warm. |

Good Morning Everyone...yep Jana, dreary and overcast here. Not raining at the moment so I will try to walk with DD. Nothing actually planned for today. I may go to church this evening. I need to read most of the day and try to finish my book club book.
Janet - sorry about the phone.
Lora - glad you finally have nice weather...the walk you took sounds lovely..

DIL and DGD want me to go line dancing with them tonight. I am off work tomorrow but I really don't feel like going. It will take me at least an hour to get there and an hour to get home. Sometimes I feel so old. Especially living where we live now - people are like - do you want to do something Saturday night - ummm no thanks - I will just sit in my recliner LOL

Jana - thanks or starting us. I think our brains are on the same page...Lol. DH took PTO today and tomorrow and we're planning to get the first mow done sometime over the next 4 days...Lol. He's about to go out right now with the push mower and start carving out the edges along the perimeter and try to start cleaning out a couple of areas that have fast growing junk encroaching into the mowed spaces. It's really chilly out right now, but clear and sunny. He wants to get out there before it warms us to lessen the risk of ground nesting yellow jackets getting after him. On those perimeter areas is where he's been lit up before. So sorry that Zeke seems uncomfortable. Poor little dude.
Janet - I have zero Instacart experience. Sorry. However, every once in a while DHs phone will kind of seize up. I just have him power it down and back up and that generally solves the issue. It's usually because he's missed an update of something simple like that. I know some phones are more particular than others. Hope it's all good now and stays that way. Coming from an IT Helpdesk background, I know that powering it down and back up often solves a multitude of issues. It just a good way to reset everything and unstick anything that may be causing issues.
So, like I said to Jana, DH is off today and tomorrow (and the weekend of course). He's starting on some yard work this morning. Then around noon, we're going to hit the gym & track (since I got distracted by beautiful blue skies and went to the river yesterday instead...Lol). I thawed out a pgk of smoked pulled pork from the freezer and will throw together some slaw for later. And at some point we'll do the whole mow (though maybe not today...we'll see). We went yesterday evening and filled all of the gas cans, so we should be ready to roll when the time comes.
It seems weird with him being here and not working. It's making it feel like a Saturday. Ha! I guess I'm going to be confused on what day it actually is for the next 4 days. Lol

Hi Everyone,
I lost my post this morning before going out. I know why and try to avoid doing it but still put my left finger in the wrong place and that makes it get erased. Ugh!
Well, even though it cost more than I'd pay if I found it at Walmart I went into CVS. I was trying to call them from nearby but they only seemed to have one number connecting me to the pharmacy. So just went inside to look. I didn't see anything at first but I happened to look down some and I found the generic version of my Neutrogena. I am thinking maybe Walmart has discontinued that particular product and whenever I am lucky enough to have found it there is usually only one on the shelf. I figure even though it cost me more it would have been about the same or even more to have it shipped. Well, at least I know where to look for it next time I need it.
Lora, I hadn't tried turning off the phone off last night but have tried doing that when I have had issues with connecting with the internet. I have that on my phone as well. It does usually help. I usually do do an update when the notice comes up.I know I did one pretty recently. The technician though said there had been some issues in the area but they seemed to have resolved it. Maybe when I was trying was when the issues were happening.
I did talk to two companies this morning before going out to update them. There are some companies I may see if I can update online. Some take money each month from my checking account already and some I have to get in by a password and 2 step verification. Most of the time I use my phone to get the code and enter it in their system rather than my email address.
After lunch I plan to do some vacuuming and then read.
Jana, hope your furbaby settles down after his surgery.

Jana, I'm glad your finger is slowly getting better! Poor Zeke...it sounds like he was in some pain. My Golden acted like that after surgery and once we got her comfortable, she settled right down. We also put a shirt on her to cover the area, but you'd need a pretty big shirt to go over his ACL!
Lora, that CC is so stinkin' cute! I loved watching him roll that ball around. I hope you get to enjoy your nice weather. I need to go fill up my mower gas can. I will probably mow this weekend and once I start, I will be mowing a lot for the next few weeks. I have SO much yard clean up to do right now with branches down and spring weeds popping up all over.
Janet, I'm glad you were able to find the shower soap. Enjoy your relaxing and reading!
Jill, spring break is close!
Work has been pretty nice today. Yesterday, I had to go to the dentist and did some errands for my day off. Then I went home and hung up more of the new curtains I got. I ordered 2 new ceiling fans, too. I want to take pictures before and after, and see what you guys think. I think I'll take a break on spending on house stuff for just a little bit!
The sun is finally trying to peek out this afternoon, but it is chilly. I think the weekend won't be too bad, and Sunday is supposed to be 68 and sunny. Sounds like I'll be outside that day!
I'm going to get caught up on a few things and head out for the day. I'll be back when I can, but waving to all. Happy that the weekend is close again...
