Good Morning - TGIF... Last day of pies... Good Friday... Easter weekend... 3 more sleeps until vacation!
Fifteen pies done yesterday. Eden and my sister Pat ended up coming up to help. When the last of them came out of the oven, Ken & I hit the tub!! Then it was time for a quick dinner, and Kait's Q&A, then bedtime! I did notice my back was not bothering me! I think because I was wearing my new Vionic flip flops. So glad I got them before vacation.
Today I have 4 more strawberry Rhubarb, one pie shell (Mary is making a Banana Cream) and 1 Rhubarb, that I'll give to my Aunt. I know she & her son prefer it without strawberries in it. Then later this afternoon - Tracy will pick up Eden, and get Zoë from school. She will bring them up to color eggs! After they leave I may hit the tub, it will depend on the time. I can listen to Kait's 6PM FBLive while I mix the dough for the donuts. I also need to cook my squash for Sunday.
Tomorrow is donut day, and being AT the bake sale. Before heading to the bake sale, I need to clean out the fridge, so Ken can run to the dump, before we leave town! I also need to finish packing! LOL Oh well, it will all get done.
Jo: Ugh, sorry you had the stomach bug. Glad you could take the time to rest and recover. What will the higher dose Estrogen help you with?? Sorry Emilie has to work Sunday. Tracy has to go in at 3. That's fine though, maybe the rest of us won't stay until evening either? OUCH... hope Emilie's finger heals quickly. YUCK... and that's why I always hated dealing with money, at the bank!
Look at you go GF! Glad Marissa is a better "fit" for you. I need to get a "routine" of strength training. I don't do it often enough to be able to Just-Do-It. I still have to watch her every move! Someday, I hope to be better about it... someday.
Karen: YAY to Spring Break!! Any plans? Around here spring break is mid April. It always used to coincide with Patriot's Day. It used to be a Mass holiday, but now I'm not even certain it is. I know the banks and PO are open.
Sue: Glad the boys will have the day with Grampa today. What do they have planned?? Whatever it is, I bet it's outside! Are they home for the whole weekend??

Well, Ken has gotten his stuff on the futon, for packing, so now I need to decide which suitcase(s) we need. Then I need to do up a few dishes, before pie baking can begin! Guess I had better get moving. Might be back later - we'll see how the day goes! LOL
♥hugs♥

Good morning!
I have to say, it is nice to have today off --especially after being gone all last weekend. I am such a creature of habit, when I miss my grocery shopping day and my weekend to get on top of laundry, I feel kind of flustered the rest of the week. It will be good to feel on top of it after this weekend. Today I meet with the "BMW Genius" at the dealership--we did that with my other car too. These young guys who are super techy show you how everything works, set up your "profile" and all of that. I like that I am doing this time after I have driven the car for a few days---I know what to ask. Last time (8 years ago) it was all new and I didn't have a clue about what I wanted, etc. Cars are SO techy now. I did go to the gym and was shocked to see no one in the parking lot--then I found out why--our key didn't work to open the door! I drove to the other one about 10 miles away and used it instead. This doesn't happen often, but I know they are switching to a cell phone key system in the next few months which will be better. Yesterday I got a lot done AND I TURNED IN MY RETIREMENT PAPERS! Eeek! So I got the confirmation that they have been "accepted" and my work is announcing my replacement on Monday --- wow, it's really happening. Oh boy....
Carole: Thanks for getting us going. Hey, I am a fan of doing packing at the last minute and then being on your way to vacation. It just feels like the right thing to do. I am so excited for you going to AZ...I hope that you love it and come this way often so that maybe I can meet you one time. DH LOVES AZ and would for sure be up for a trip there. My new car is not a diesel---it is a gas engine (not even a hybrid). I don't think that they sell the diesels much anymore--it was a great engine though. Wow, you are doing so well with the pies! And I remember the donut sales now too....what a great idea to plan your vacation right after this is all complete. Good for you for also keeping your commitment to your calls and webinars as well.....hope that you have a great day with the girls coloring eggs (I am jealous here....) and getting ready for your weekend and the trip.
Jo: So sorry to hear about the abdominal issues...sounds like it is better though? I think you did mention Steven's GF before--that will be great to have her over though and have time with both of them. Sorry about Emilie having to work. Hoping that you continue to feel better and that your endocrinologists adjustments are good for you. How lucky to have an endo that you love! I like mine and have a special relationship with her since she diagnosed my cancer and really was great supporting me through it, but she has really changed her practice and I am thinking about looking for a new one (which kind of terrifies me). Keep that one that you trust and love! Hoping that your day passes quickly today so you can get on to your weekend.
Sue: Yay for having the boys today! Is David arriving today as well? Reading about your meals was making me hungry! I am so glad that Josh was being cooperative and that Jason and the boys can have their day together! I am so happy for you having this weekend with your family---truly Sue in her happy place.
Karen: My memory of your Spring breaks is you floating in you kayak and posting beautiful pictures of different places near where you live....what is the plan this year? You work so hard---so glad that you can relax!
Christine: I don't recall if your school is off today but I am hoping that you have had a good week. Are you hosting Easter dinner?
Okay, I am going to get moving -- I hope that everyone is enjoying their Friday. Might pop in later to see what everyone is up to.

Happy Easter Weekend
The weather is supposed to get up to upper 60’s low 70’s for this weekend, we had a change in plans, my sister wants us to come to her house so we can hang with the boys for Easter Sunday and watch them hunt Easter eggs, that should be fun watching. So I will smoke the ham in the smoker tomorrow and slice it up and get it ready to warm up for Sunday. I’m also going to make potato casserole also. Not much going on here, we’re pretty boring people.
Gabrielle yes I noticed how much technology goes into our cars now, what ever happened to knobs and a dash board? I’m glad you’re enjoying your new car. Yes, sometimes a day off does help with getting caught up with things. Did you take the old car that you sold to the lady who bought it. I’m so happy to hear your retirement is all going as planned.
Carole glad you got all your pies mostly done and just a few more to finish up today. Yes you should get in the tub after 2 days of baking. Glad you got extra help as well. Wow, it’s getting close to your trip to Az, I have some friends that are down there right now and they are in shorts and t shirts so I’m hoping it will be nice for you.
Jo sorry about the tummy issues, I too am having issues today. It’s not fun. Oh, Steven has a serious girlfriend! How fun. Sorry to hear about Em’s finger, ouch. Glad you got your car back. Did they give you a liner car for that?
Sue I hope Josh lets the boys come over for Easter so they can see David’s gang, that’s nice they are coming to your house for the holiday. I didn’t realize that port and bridge were that busy but it only makes sense. Lots of exports/imports coming from over seas.
Hello Karen glad to hear the weddings coming along for Isaac, is he sure about this? I’m sure you already talked to him about that. I wish he would have invited the family, but oh well you can’t make him. Is Elinor going to hunt Easter eggs?
Hello Christine I hope your trip went well. Is Carley and Ben coming home for the holiday? I hope you have found a new cake lady, that was an awful thing for his mom to do, I feel bad for Ben.
Ok gotta run
