Good Morning Everyone!
I have a lot of catching up to do as I didn't find time to read daily posts -
This last trip to Fulton was productive and good - I am still working steadily on the reports from first part of March and now I have 7 more to add to them. It will all be fine...at least I keep telling myself that The drive home from Fulton was awful - pretty much complete downpour rains from Pittsburgh to Erie. I felt my car hydroplaning several times and could barely drive over 60. So so frustrating and made for an extra long trip home! I was so happy to pull off I-79 and crawl home.
Cold, cold, cold here. High in the 40s with some sunshine here and there - still calling for SNOW this coming week - it is Spring on the calendar only LOL
Carly came home Thursday night as her schools were on Spring Break. Ben had to work Friday and then promised to do a Fishing tutorial this morning down their way so he will be here late afternoon today. I'll have DM over tomorrow for Easter dinner around 2:00. I am NOT feeling ready for Easter but I can go through the motions and clean the house, set a nice table, and whip out some traditional foods.
Our students and teachers were off for Spring Break the entire week. Admin and office staff worked every day. We do not get an Easter holiday. I went in to a nice quiet office and worked on preparations for the State Testing. Thursday evening Carly, Linds, and I met with the uplighting guy. He demonstrated several different shades of lights, different colors, where he would add special effects. Lovely. Carly chose Rose-Gold which we think will add to the Ballroom during the Wedding Reception. Also chose fairy lights for the head table skirting, cake table, and cookie table. Afterwards we had a Girls Night for dinner but Carly was not feeling well. Once home, around 10:30 PM she lost the contents of her stomach and it's been game on since for the poor girl. She cannot even keep a cracker down. I bought her some Pedialyte to help - last night she said it's settling. She thinks she ate 'bad' turkey in a salad for lunch Thursday - since none of us feel sick we know it was not our dinner but still not convinced it's not a flu-bug she brought home.
Last night Lindsey and I went to my cousin Tracy's for a family gathering - her brother, David is in town. David and I were close as kids, then later as adults David and my brother Mark lived together in a shared condo. They were at our house all the time when we were first married. Gary had to work and was bummed about missing David - he lives in Tampa area now as an accountant/controller - anyways, it was a lot of fun to be together. Tracy is the 'favorite' niece of my mother's - they did visit Virginia during the day Thursday and reported she was FINE and doing quite well! The funny thing is Virginia didn't tell me David was in town and they had come to visit her - I guess she's saving that news for Easter when she is here - not sure we will tell her about the Friday night gathering - Tracy purposely did NOT have Virginia there to give us a break from her antics and drama. Whew. Anyway, we had fun reminiscing and sharing with our adult kids funny stories of the mischief Gary, David, and Mark did 'before we had kids' LOL

Good morning!
It is drizzly and cold here--high of 48. But it is Saturday--yay! And it is great to see Christine start us off and hear what is going in her neck of the woods. We are heading out in a bit for a run and, after the cold start, I know that I will warm up. I am meeting some other women and hope to run with them for a while to make the time go by a bit faster. Today DH turns 65...we are all going out to dinner tonight at an Italian place we like -- I decided to treat myself to not cooking. Yesterday was a good day--I feel like I got a lot done and feel so much better about heading to work next week on top of things.
Christine: I had a feeling that you would be the designated cook for Easter. You are right though, it is kind of a "routine" holiday meal and I am glad that you are not overdoing it trying to do something else. I hope that you can relax and enjoy it (and Virginia behaves herself). My mom wanted to cook Easter dinner this year so we are going over there. Tonight she will be with us and I will confirm that she is good to go. I know that she likes to do this once or twice a year. Oh, I hope that Carly is feeling better! Seeing that both Jo and Jenny have had tummy issues makes me wonder if there is a bug going around.....especially since Carly is around a lot of kids with her work. Our office was super quiet this past week too...wasn't it nice? We did get Friday off but it isn't a paid holiday...just a day when things are closed. Wow, the drive home from Fulton sounded long and miserable. I am glad that you made it home safely and it sounds like you have a lot of report-writing in your future. We all know that you are a master of keeping at things and getting them done....you can do it! Wow, the lighting for the wedding sounds amazing! I can't wait to see how the pictures come out! Have you been able to stick with your TM routine in the mornings? I hope so--you need that time for YOU.
Jenny: How are you feeling today? I hope that you can make it to your meeting...we know that you enjoy those. That would be fun to see the boys hunt for eggs! Wow, your weather is much better than ours! How about that? OR has warmer weather than CA! That doesn't happen often!
Carole: I think that today is donut day? I remember you saying you are not a big fan of eating them yourself -- that is good...I would probably be tempted myself. The countdown to AZ continues....fun times right around the corner!
Sue: I hope that David is arriving today maybe? Maybe he will get to see the boys? I do hope that your weekend is off to a great start.
Karen: I hope that you are enjoying some relaxing time with family right about now....
Jo: Hoping that you are feeling better and having some down time as well.
Time for me to get moving. I will most likely pop in this afternoon. Our dinner reservation is for 5:30 pm ---DM doesn't like to drive in the dark (although I might offer to pick her up). Hope that everyone has a good morning!

Good Morning
The sun is shining out there today and I'm staying home from my meeting and taking advantage of the nice weather to clean up the patio and do some lawn work. I'm also going to put the ham on the smoker and then get that slice up for tomorrow to reheat and then do a hash brown casserole to take a long as well and some deviled eggs. I'm just happy were going to have nice weather. I'm also excited to see the boy's tomorrow and watch them hunt eggs, I haven't seen them since Christmas.
I don't know if I mentioned this but I'm hosting my dad's 86th birthday the second weekend in April. My Uncle and Aunts are coming from all over so that's another reason I'm working in my yard today. I hope that weekend is a nice one so people can sit outside and enjoy it and my dad. He's doing much better and is still not on any medication for dementia yet. At least he's hasn't had anymore hallucinations for a while according to my mom.
Christine so happy you checked in. Sounds like the wedding plans are coming along well. The day will soon be here before you know it. Glad your trip to Fulton Co was a productive one. Sounds like the drive home was not fun but you returned safe. Poor Carly not feeling well, I'm glad to hear she's on the mend now. Oh, that sounds like a fun time with your cousins for an evening.
Gabrielle I think our weather has flip flopped, but yes we are having a good weekend. I'm so glad you had yesterday off to just get some things done, that's why I'm taking today for myself just to get things done and not having to rush here and there. I hope you enjoy your Easter and your new car.
Ok hello to all and have a good day
