Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
All of my Easter prep is done. Made the placek yesterday and my house still smells so good. Will visit with DB and DSIL this afternoon. Looking forward to seeing them.
Feels strange not working today. Yesterday was an extremely busy day. We got in 16 vehicles … my hands hurt after inputting all of them.
Enjoy your day

Joyce, your Easter basket sounds good. What is placek? Bill and I used to love the fresh kilbasa we get at the local Polish market. They only make so much and when it is gone it is gone.
Ruth, the visit with the Estate Planning & Elder Law Care person sounds very interesting. I’m sure there is much involved. We do have a will and POAs. Our attorney suggested we bring a copy with us to Florida every winter. The attorney also suggested that we have DS#2, since he lives in Connecticut, as the executor of our estate because DS#1 lives out of state. It is great that you are being so proactive about the planning.
Waving to Martha.
The visit with DS and DBIL is going nicely. They played pickleball yesterday morning and then in the afternoon we took a short walk and then went to dinner. Tonight we are going to dinner again, last night was dinner at a pub type place, tonight at a nicer restaurant. Tomorrow 3 friends are coming for dinner and cards.

Happy Easter to one and all. Enjoy your special day with friends and family. And to Martha, even though she won’t see this until next week.
I’m not sure who, if anyone, will be here tomorrow. If anyone comes, we’re just having spaghetti. I did not want to make a big meal. And the grands all enjoy spaghetti & garlic bread, so win!
Joy, so happy you are still getting all the cars in. Stan has been looking at the price of some of the hybrid SUV’s or minivans. OMG!!! EXPENSIVE and then some!! We’re just going to keep this car going as long as possible!
I started looking at the 25 or so page forms that we have to fill out for our next meeting that will be with the lawyers I believe. Info on your children, grandchildren, parents, info for new health care directives. Very involved. And then all the forms that we need to have ready to give them. If it’s remotely financial, they need a copy of it. We have to take the deeds to our house and the 2 time shares for them to look at (to be put in the trust); all our investment accounts; pensions; Medicare stuff; health insurance info; you name it, they want to see it. Some of it I will have to download and print off the internet. Lots of work!!
Enjoyed dinner out with our friends tonight. I’ll see her again Wednesday when Stan goes to peddle class. We’re going to try to keep up the once a week or every other week meetings.
Also lots of info on possessions. This is going to be a ton of work! And so many of the possessions need to go away! Maybe this will be inspiration to get rid of them.
more later tomorrow or Monday!

Happy Easter everyone,
Had a great time with DB and DSIL, always do. We had our baskets blessed, then enjoyed our Easter meal. It’s been our tradition to eat on Holy Saturday instead of Easter Sunday, something we’ve done since we were kids.
Dottie - the buttermilk placek is just a cake like version of Easter bread. I’m not good at working with yeast to make the Polish version which is more bread like, but this one is a good substitute. It turned out delicious. I sliced a few pieces to freeze for later use.
Today I’ll go to Easter mass, then chill for the rest of the day.
Enjoy your day

Good afternoon all. Quiet day here. Younger DD asked if they could come out for a meal next weekend. Said her kids would be better company then! I told her I had no problems with that. Haven’t talked to DS but I assume they aren’t coming out either.
I started laundry and have 1 more load to wash. Was frustrated a few minutes ago. Had eaten an apple and was using a floss pick and my dumb temporary crown popped off. I barely touched the dumb thing. So I won’t eat on that side when we have dinner; will pop it out at bedtime (swallow hazard?); and put it back in tomorrow and call their office to get them to seal it back down. Only me after all the issues I had with the implant popping off. Oh well.
Need to start pulling together the copies of taxes, mortgage, etc to go in the folder to take to our 1st meeting with the lawyers. And Stan and I need to sit down and go over some of the questions on the 25 page form. Things like info needed for health care directives, etc. I assume she’ll call tomorrow and we’ll set up the appt for our 1st lawyer meeting. Not sure how far out that will be so I want to have this stuff done.
Stan just turned over to basketball again. We watched some last night after our dinner out. Enjoyed dinner with our friends. Talked about the estate planning stuff. They do have a trust and wills; but don’t have to worry about protecting assets right now.
Dryer buzzed so I need to go take care of that. Hope everyone is enjoying their Easter. More tomorrow!
