Checking in. Jan, please update us when you can.
A quiet Easter weekend is planned. DH is sick, DD's family is out of town, so I'll be on my own. Looking forward to being with church family to celebrate in the morning.
Peace.

Unfortunately I don’t have much of an update. We have been trying to reach the hospital neurologist since yesterday. We have heard unofficially that Nick had a seizure yesterday morning at 5:30 and they want him seizure-free for 24 hours. Our attending said he would contact the neurologist after meeting with him about an hour ago. I’ve been here since yesterday early AM; DH is on his way in after catching up on some much needed sleep at home. I need his support and strength to get answers, as I’ve been unsuccessful. Nick feels gray and wants to get the heck out of here. Patient advocacy will be our next step.
Thank you all for your prayers and support.
Nancy, we’re at University Hospitals, Ahuja. All of his care up until this point has been through the Cleveland Clinic. He was brought here in an ambulance from the accident. He remembers none of it.

C134D15 - 1196 calories - Crazy morning - up at 7, did some work til 8, then tired. Put on the Unsinkable Molly Brown and slept thru the whole thing. Then breakfast (9:30 last night til 9:45 this morning) then watched the whole movie for real. Now back at my computer.
Lori - I'm sure you enjoyed your walk.
Meg - Please wish DH our best. Are you satisfied to be having a quiet weekend? I'm thoroughly enjoying mine.
Jan - Anxious to hear what's going on.

Finally heard from the neurologist. He’d been trying to call the room phone and it turns out the ringer was off. Nick had both a frontal lobe seizure and a temporal lobe seizure at 4:00 yesterday afternoon. He’d like to monitor Nick until the morning. He’ll increase the new medication and if Nick has no more seizures, he can go home tomorrow morning.

Jan - Fingers crossed he'll stay clean of seizures by morning and that the increased medication will do the trick. Will he come home to your house or to his own?

He’ll be coming back to our house. Ironically, he was planning to move this weekend.

Jan: Glad you got this information. How is Nick feeling about the increased meds? Bless you guys.
Nancy: Thanks for the kind words for DH. I made him eat, drink water, and walk around the house a bit. Seems a bit better this evening.
I had a walk this morning while the sun was out. Tomorrow will be chillier. Glad I won't be doing any Easter egg hiding or hunting!
Peace.

Turns out tomorrow won't be a PJ day. I've been invited out to dinner by a friend, her son and DIL. It's supposed to be a whole foods day so I'll do my best in that regard at the restaurant and of course at home prior to the meal out and after. I won't worry about calories.
Jan - Oh, I thought he had already moved. Just as well to have him under your roof for a bit.
Meg - Glad to hear DH is doing better and you got to take a nice walk this morning.
