Sundayβs intentions Happy Easter to all who celebrate. I invited Karen over for dinner. Keeping it simple: ham, potato salad, green beans, roasted carrots, and either cherry crumble or pumpkin pie. No other plans for the day. Will relax.

It seems I've missed a few days on the board due to who knows what. Usually it has to do with the internet not being available then forgetting to return later. Such is life.
Our time changed last night so I went to bed early and then woke before sunrise. The birds sang beautifully this morning and are still singing now. I fed Bella and she is off to sleep for awhile. There are broad-butter beans soaking that I will cook with onions and tomato sauce and we will have them on rice for lunch today with perhaps a cabbage or cucumber salad.
Wishing you all a beautiful day and Happy Easter if you are celebrating it.

Happy Easter to all.
It went very well yesterday, despite Jazz/Sean/Torin not showing up until 12:30 to "help". Carol and I already had it all done. Just moved slower. Everyone contributed. There was WAY TOO MUCH FOOD. Most of the antipasto was going up to the stable Laura owns for those that had to work today. Everyone else also took so not overly loaded with leftovers. And everyone helped break down and store the chairs and tables. Yay. Only downside is I didn't move my tablet off the kitchen counter and it took a header. Beyond repair. New one will be here tomorrow.
Have a care package set aside for Marge and Amby that we will take over this afternoon. I am a bit sore and tired but in a good way. Lily is out sunning herself on the deck for now. Need to call my dad's cousin and thank her for her very generous Easter gift. Totally unnecessary but she likes to do that a couple of times a year.
S - Usual coffee B - Hot ham/velveeta/asparagus on 647 wheat L - ? Proabably nothing D - Lamb gyro

Cathy When your routine is off in any way, it is easy to forget to complete normal tasks. The same thing has happened to me. I will thank that I posted or started the thread, but discover that I didnβt. Your meal sounds delicious and hearty! Enjoy! Hearing birdsong in the morning is quite a nice gift. We saw a parade of turkeys crossing our back yard. Lucky they were not gobbling, which sounds a bit harsh.
Susi lol. . . Of course you and Carol had the table, chairs, and dinner service accomplished by 12:30. Too crazy to leave that task until last. Invariably, if you do, everyone congregates in whatever area you are working. Nice that there was plenty of food to share, and family was willing to enjoy the leftovers. Marge & Amby will appreciate the special meal and thoughtful visit. Ugh. . . sorry that your tablet had a fatal fall. Glad that it can be replacing so quickly. What good timing for your dear aunts generous gift. (I am assuming that it is $$).

Well, there is something to be said about keeping the Easter menu simple. Everything is in order for our dinner, and I am going to relax with another cup of tea and then a lovely bubble bath.

Yesterday was the peaceful day for which we'd hoped! We did a whole bunch of Not Much, watched NASCAR Xfinity in the afternoon, and enjoyed roast chicken, mashed potatoes, and broccoli for dinner. One thing that did get done is rigging up a "drying room" for those YM M65 jackets. Toots set up a coat rack in the front entryway and we put the dehumidifier where the fan can circulate the air around them. We used that idea with great success for soccer gear when we had K'ling2 here last fall. I got the first 6 jackets done, 4 more are waiting, and 3 came in freshly-washed (THANK YOU, Mama Joseph!). That leaves 8 more to collect <sigh>. I'd like to have this project stowed away ASAP <jinx><jinx>.
Today we will celebrate a beautiful sunny Easter. Temps may get into the 50*s but those winds are still going to be around. At least the rain's not due back until tomorrow. Toots & Pippin are still sawin' wood but it's only 8 AM. There's NASCAR Cup series at 7 PM. So we'll putter around and relax and just enjoy the day.
Dinner will be prime rib, baked potato, and broccoli.
Coffee... βββ... second pot brewing...
πππππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππππππππππ
