This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning and Happy April everyone.
I hope all had a great weekend. I haven't had the opportunity to read the weekend posts yet. I had a great productive weekend.
Friday I met a friend for Happy Hour. It was fun - we sat outside and had a couple of drinks and appetizers. Saturday I started in on my yard work. I managed to get all the hedges trimmed, the debris raked out and then went in with a leaf blower to get any remaining tiny pieces. Since we have landscaping rocks around the hedges - it is hard to get it all out with a rake without raking the rocks out. It took 5 hours to get that done and haul all the debris down to woods behind the property. I was so exhausted. DH went and picked dinner up for us and I fell asleep almost immediately after eating. Sunday I got into the azalea bed and got all of them trimmed way back and I was just so exhausted (even though that was easier than the hedges) I wanted to move on to the rose bushes but I could barely lift my arms. I just went into the roses and pulled all the big dead weeds from last summer out and I will trim them another day. This weekend was very productive but also very exhausting for me. It really showed me I need to be move active. My lower back, arms and shoulders are super achy today. I plan on ordering a pallet of mulch from Lowes so I can get the azaleas and the flowerbeds mulched hopefully in the next couple of weeks. I have some flowers I want to plant but I don't want to start on that until everything else is cleaned up and tidied.
It is supposed to be in the mid 70s here today but it is supposed to rain.
I can't believe it is April.
I don't know if I mentioned it to you all but Daddy is talking about moving in with his GF from NC. I know I complain about him a lot - but I don't know how I feel about that. He is obviously an adult and still mostly in his right mind - if he really decides to do it - there isn't much I could do to stop him, except refuse to help him move. He is supposed to be home on Tuesday and I suppose we will talk about it some more then.
I did not attend the line dancing but DGD has her phone back and she and I chatted for a bit. She was excited about going dancing and seemed fine that I was not attending. Maybe I will try to take them to see the new Ghost Busters movie this coming weekend.
Zeke is doing pretty good after his surgery. it is hard keeping him confined because he is used to having free roam of the house and use the dog door anytime he wants. Saturday we were able to confine him to the patio while we did yard work (normally he would just follow me around and find a shady spot to lay in after he checked out the whole yard) I was afraid he would see a rabbit, stray cat, squirrel or some other critter and try to run after it. He was to be confined for 10 weeks with only 5 minute breaks outside several times a day. Also Biscuit loves to aggravate him - so we have to keep an eye on her because she loves to get him wound up. Fortunately DD has taken Biscuit to her house a couple of times to play with their Great Dane - and she is pretty tired after a day of playing with Clyde.

Good morning everyone! Jana - thanks for starting us. Sounds like it was a all about the yard kind of weekend for both of us. lol. Glad to hear that Zeke is coming along. I know when Lily hurt her back it was really hard to keep her on crate rest. Janet - just for future reference, if we're ever eating out together again, I'll always take the jalapenos off of your salad. Haha! Jill - I hope you had a good travel day and are settling into your week of farm life. I'm sure the pups will be fine. And they will be SO excited to see you when you get home. I've always though that's one of the best things about dogs...whether you're gone for 2 hours or 2 weeks, every return home is a wonderful event for them. haha! Susie - I have to be in the right mood for lamb. I find it a little more gamey than beef, but less gamey than goat and a whole different kind of gamey than deer. Lol. Your flowers sound lovely! We've lost our sunshine for a couple of days. It's very grey and gloomy today, but I think that's just for today. Tomorrow we get grey, gloomy and lots of rain...Lol. I think I'll try to get to the gym in a little while so that I have that little chore out of the way. Our lunch yesterday and walk afterwards was lovely. I'm so glad DH suggested the Mexican restaurant and so glad I thought about following it up with a walk. Even though we had some serious clouds overhead, the view was still lovely. Well, time for me to get shaking around here. I'll try to check back later. Have a Marvelous Monday and don't get caught by any April Fool's pranks.

Good Morning All- got through my gym class and then ran to DD's to check on the cats and fish while they are in FL. I am coughing alot...don't know if it is allergies or what, but it is driving my crazy and I am supposed to sub in a bridge game at 2:00. I finished a book club book yesterday (THE BERRY PICKERS by Amanda Peters) and started a new one (THE FROZEN RIVER by Ariel Lawhhon). It was "inspired by the life and diary of Martha Ballard, a renowned 18th century midwife who defied the legal system and wrote herself into American history."
Jana - what a lot you accomplished over the weekend! Glad I have VERY little of that to do these days (really only if I want to do more than the service does).
Lora - DH will be having lamb chops for dinner, but I will have something else. I fixed some deviled eggs since the neighbor across the street was talking about the ones she fixed for dinner yesterday.
Surely I will come up with some April Fool's day prank, but I haven't thought of a good one yet. Waving to everyone...

Hi again!
I got my gym work accomplished. It took me longer than usual to get myself there because they're resurfacing the road off the mountain and about a 2 mile stretch is down to one lane. That one lane has you kissing right up against the big dump trucks and other heavy equipment. I took the long way back home and will continue to take the long way for the rest of the week, I think.
Susie - you know my opinion on deviled eggs...They are ALWAYS a good idea. haha! That being said, now I want to make some too! I'm going to roast some chicken legs in the Ninja for supper tonight. DH has requested some sticky chicken, so I'll make that sauce with chili garlic sauce, coconut aminos, ginger and a little white vinegar and brush that on the crispy chicken skin when the legs are done cooking.
A little later this afternoon I'll be going to pick up a few dozen farm fresh eggs from my egg lady. So I might use the ones currently in the fridge (from the grocery store) to make up a batch of deviled eggs to go with whatever we're having for supper tomorrow or the next day. The weather tomorrow looks to be pretty icky, so I don't plan on getting out in that unless I just have to do so.
I had to roll down my windows driving down my road on the way home from the gym just now. The wisteria is in full bloom all up and down the road and the smell is intoxicating. I kind of wish we had some growing along the perimeter of our property. Maybe I'll see if I can get some started.

Hi Everyone, Jana, glad you were able to get so much done this weekend. It was back to work starting with a complaint from a parent who said her son was in the hospital for the last week and a half. She was saying the doctor thought he may have gotten sick from our bathroom and not cleaning/ washing hands. Totally not accurate of course as the children frequently wash hands when they come into the classroom, after playing outside, before meals. They also brush teeth 4/5 days. I tried to tell the parent that we don't brush teeth in the bathroom but she wasn't listening. My partner was mad at one of the administrative staff because she said he didn't have our back. I have a feeling he wasn't close enough to have listened to what she said. She gets very angry and moody especially since everything happening to her father. She just says she can't wait for this year to be over. Overall, despite everything going on with her father we had a pretty good year overall but it's hard for her to see that. What a day! is one of her expressions frequently. Have a good night!
