Hi all,
((((Reneinitaly))))
I had a great Easter Break! I took my computer home to check in, but never opened it.
The time with my family was great! I'm so glad they came down. They loved watching me and Misfit. Harry kept reminding everyone he was right- it was good for both me and the cat. I hate when we have to admit he's right- his head is big enough already π€£
I went to Sunrise Easter Service and actually did OK. It's in the cemetery where Rick is at and is just a few feet down from his stone. So I went to the stone at the beginning, stood with the group for the service, and then went back to the stone to say Good bye- That's when the tears started. But they were controllable.
I made it through the regular service with no tear. We had a lovely dinner at our favorite restaurant and one of my widow sisters from church joined us. Then I did laundry and snuggled with the cat all day yesterday.
It was all perfect!
Blessings to everyone as we all get back to work.

April is Autism Awareness Month and today is World Autism day.
Here is something I am going to have on the announcements at school today:
April is Autism Awareness Month and today is World Autism Day. We have many students with Autism here at Indian Rock. You may know some of them, some might be in a different class. But some might be in your very own class and you may not even know. Children with Autism are all different, just like you are.
There are 3 big things to know about Autism. 1) It's not contagious. It is something people are born with, like brown hair or blue eyes. You can never catch it from someone else.
2) Children with Autism communicate in unique ways. You might see them doing unusual behavior such as screaming, yelling or even hitting and scratching. But they are not trying to hurt anyone. It's their way of communicating that they are upset, scared, or feeling sick. They don't have the words like you do to tell us what they are feeling, so they use behavior.
3) People with Autism are still People! They have likes and dislikes and want to be friends. Everyone deserves to be loved, respected and treated with kindness.
So if you see someone that may talk, act or think differently than you do, remember they are still a great person and might want to be your friend. Reach out to them and smile or say "Hi". You never know, they just might say "Hi" back and you will gain a new friend.
Just wanted to share. Sending love to all who are touched by Autism.

I'm IN for TUESDAY!
πreneinitalyπ + πππ.
ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π
I've been up since 5 AM. No particular reason. Toots & Pippin are still sawin' wood.
GracieTOO should be home this afternoon; we had a few things taken care of besides the oil change and tire rotation. She deserves it and I want to keep her running for a long time.
Gray day. Rainy day. One of several forecast for this week. I'll make my own sunshine later.
Coffee... βββ... and back to bed...
π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π± Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±π·βοΈπ·π±

Good morning. It was supposed to be raining this morning but we only managed a few drops so far. It does feel cooler and my walk was nice. I'll be heading to Costco later this morning. I really wish Costco opened earlier than 10 a.m. I'm ready to go now! ((( reneinitaly)))

hpeterson1951, thank you for sharing some facts about autism. My nephew is autistic and is about to graduate from college. He is quirky, but that's just him (smart as a whip and can talk way over my head on subjects I thought I was pretty knowledgeable in! LOL) His "thing" when he is nervous is to play with his shoelaces or strings on his hoodie. My sister has done great to be sure he has been exposed to a lot of different situations (travel, he has a job, college, etc.) to prepare him for the "real world." The new job is still going GREAT! They gave a BIG chunk of my old job to my old boss to do until they hire someone new! WHEW! Such a relief!! I hope you all are having a GREAT day! Positive energy to all!!

neen, I am so happy you're enjoying your new job. It's funny that most of your old job was given to your previous boss! LOL! He or she will probably realize how hard the job is and try to hire 2 people to fill it!
