Good morning! Well, it is in the low 50s this morning and we are welcoming the nice weather....until Thursday when it drops by about 20 degrees! I slept much better last night...Sunday night I woke up at about 2:00 am and I was worrying about anything I could think of--retirement, the ranch, DS24, health---you name it, I worried about it. Uggh. I will be glad to get my doctor's appointment done today and hope that she is one time...I have waited up to 45 min before on Zoom for her. I think that there is one test result missing but will see once she goes over everything. I really need to get retirement started and FEEL it. I am WAY overthinking too many things. Anyway.....
Carole: I can't wait to hear your take on AZ! It is good to know that you made it okay and I hope that you had a good night's sleep. Happy Anniversary to you and Ken as well. I think that the weather is probably really nice there, right? Hoping that you have the BEST time!
Sue: Wow to the ongoing challenges with the shipping, etc. due to the bridge collapse. I see something on the news about it most evenings here....how was the pool? I am thinking that you are feeling better (and think I read that in your post yesterday). Thank goodness you have worked through that quirky rib pain.
Christine: How was your Easter? I am sure that you put on a nice meal for the family! I hope that the illness stay confined to Carly and that the rest of you dodged it. Back to school with kids this week, right? Hoping that the testing starts off well.
Karen: Wow to the custodian story! I am SO glad that Isaac is out of that TOXIC situation! It is SO odd about the principal cleaning your room....like he is afraid of you and your authority or something? So weird. I will say, personnel is a hard part of being an administrator, but you have to do it! Custodian issues are such a problem too---when you think about it, people who choose to work at night and, often, alone with little supervision. It is certain people who like that environment and sometimes it doesn't work out in your favor. Uggh. Looking forward to hearing about your Spring break activities! I love the pictures of your Eleanor too....enjoy!
Jenny: Hoping that you are having an nice start to your week and good weather to continue to get your outside area ready for the birthday party.
Jo: How are you doing? So sorry about Emilie having to work...did Steven bring his girlfriend for dinner? Looking forward to hearing how that went.
Okay, I am going to get going. I am running a BIG meeting this afternoon (one of my "lasts") and looking forward to having it behind me. I need to get some of these things that are keeping me awake checked off of my list. Hope that you have a good day! Oh, and don't forget to track in some way!!

Good Morning! I didn't sleep well last night. I woke up this morning at 4:15am with the back of my thighs and butt hurting like I did 50 squats, which I did not. I'm still sore even after my shower. So I got 4:52 minutes of sleep last night. It's going to be an early to bed night. We are still eating left overs. I think I'm about done with those. My joints have been achy also. I wonder if its from the increased sodium from the ham.
So Easter was good. I got in over 12,000 steps just getting stuff ready. Steven's GF couldn't come over as she had to work. Steven did and my DBIL came also (he lives right next door). I sent everyone home with left overs and we still have a lot left. It was a good day overall but I was worn out.
Our new car insurance started yesterday and we couldn't find the new cards we printed out. My printer isn't working so I had Steven print them out at work. He will be printing new ones out to bring by today after work. We joined Erie Insurance. I know quite a few of my family members have it. They must be new in Knoxville because I didn't know we had them here. Cheaper then our last insurance company. They guy said the rate was higher because "of Steve's little accidents the past couple of years" 1 wasnt' his fault but i guess we are getting penalized for it. It was a hit and run adn our insurance had to pay for it.
We are not going to AZ for our 25th wedding anniversary next week. With the trips I/we have coming up it just was not feasable. We are going to a guest house in Mars Hill, NC, complete with hot tub! I'm excited we got the 10th - 12th. Emilie will be here with the dogs. She is looking forward to time home alone. Steve still drives her to work.
Gabrielle, wow your weather is cold right now. I thought it would have warmed up by now. Our weekend weather was beautiful, yesterda it was nice also. We are trying to not turn the AC on yet. You are experiencing lots of "lasts". Sorry you were up worrying about everything last night. I hate it when my mind won't shut off. It will all work out. Look forward to your retirement.

Carole, enjoy AZ! I can't wait to see some pictures. Jealious here. We so wanted to go there. We will make it some day. I hope your travel yesterday went well. Wow you had to get up early to get to the airport. I did finally get free of Joe's program but he still wants more money for quitting and I don't feel I should have to pay it. He's about to get P#ssed. Loved the Easter pictures. Looks like everyone had a good time.
Karen, how far are you from Mars Hill, NC? Wow to what Issac had to go through. I'm so glad he had you by his side. Waht in the world is the principle thinking why do those ladies still have their job!? And the principle cleaning your room is rediculious! Good Grief!! Sounds like a messed up family dinamic there. I'm sure it was nice to spend time with the kids.
Sue, yes our weather was so nice this weekend. Glad yours turned around. I agree it was way too long to fix my Edge but I didn't have to pay for it. I'm sure the kids will be glad Jason got the basket ball hoop back up. Sounds like you had a nice visit with David.
Christine, are things warming up in Erie?
Jenny, how have you been?
Got to get to work. Waves to all who follow.

Karen: So happy for you to be up at the camp. Oh my... I do hope this can be Isaac's "forever", but between trying to be needy, and her family dynamics, I just hope he isn't hurt in the end. {{{hugs}}} Glad you and Emily were able to attend the shower, showing love and support. ♥
Sue: Yuck, your commute sounded awful yesterday! Hopefully your 4" of rain is better than our 6" of snow! (Back home) We are actually lucking out here in AZ! We leave Friday, when a cold front comes in! By the time we get home the snow should be over and pretty much melted! Here we should see 90! WHOA! I AM READY!!
Hopefully David & Katie got on the road, avoided the commuters, and got home safely.
Gabrielle: Glad you are feeling good about the week ahead! I bet having the car decision made, as well as the retirement papers submitted has also taken a load off your mind. I love that your DM had dinner and was so happy tp have you all for Easter.
Here it is 7 AM and 48 degrees, with a high of 75!!
Thank you, we got to the parking lot just as a shuttle was loading. He actually backed up to show us where there was an open spot! Our plan was to be at the airport by 4:30, but we lucked out and we were through bag check, and TSA by 4:30! LOL So extra time to sit and wait... but nothing stressful about it at all. I will admit, I am trying NOT to stress already about the drive Friday, return the rental, get the sky tram to the airport before checking bags and TSA! Layover in Chicago, was a LONG walk from Terminal b to Terminal D! Funny, we departed the exact same gate as I did on my return from TX! We had plenty of time, so we sat and had a nice breakfast between flights. We had a short time of stress and frustration when we landed in AZ. Our luggage had been put on an earlier flight, so we didn't have to wait for the carousel! However... I said to DH OK, now it's in your hands... the rental was in his name, etc.! BUT... OMG If it was legal to kill a husband, mine would be gone! UGH! He didn't have any of the emails, or confirmations, or ANYTHING! I know a few months ago we had this conversation. He SWEARS he forwarded the email to me! He was getting nervous, and OMG, he then deleted The.Whole.Folder. of trip emails! So... we then gathered all our bags to head to the car rental place... where we were going to have to go place to place to ask if they had a reservation for us. WELL... All of a sudden he realized he was missing a bag! MY CPAP!! I literally started to cry. He had left it where we were standing, when I said I need to sit down, and walked away. I had a suitcase and my carry on and my purse, he had been carrying the computer bag and the CPAP, with the smaller suitcase. I know he was frazzled and frustrated and nervous, but Geeze Louise... he walked away and left it on the ground! Well we lucked out (again) as someone had turned it into the information booth! UGH... so off we went to the car rental place. The first place we went to was Alamo... it just sounded familiar to me... and they weren't very busy... and Thank God they HAD our reservation! We didn't need our confirmation or email or anything except DH drivers license. So we got the car... walk into the garage and in "these 2 rows" take whatever you want! WHAT??? OYE VEY, my the time - they are a changing!! The drive here was beautiful! Warm - sunny - desert, that I have never really seen! Just amazing. I'll share pictures later, they are on the camera, not many on my phone - so that technology will have to wait! LOL We got checked in, no issues, BEAUTIFUL rooms! Oh and we did sign up for an Owner "Class" for today. Not the usual one-on-one "review", but a group class! They are giving me a gift certificate to cover the $150. SPA massage!! No problem for 60 minutes of our morning. Maybe the cash I was going to use for massage, I will get a facial too! LOL
So today we do owner class then at 12:45 I go for massage. Then, nothing "planned", until dinner. I think we will do the "Cowboy Cookout" they have here. Tomorrow we will drive off grounds for the Verde Canyon Train Ride. Our one tourist day of the week. Thursday, Ken may play pickle ball, but nothing set in stone. Today I also will take a walk around the grounds just to see what all is here. The pools, hot tub, everything. OK enough about me.
Karen: Oh My Goodness... Thankful that Isaac is now in the job he wanted - nit under the thumb of those 2 women who are totally wrong in every SENSE of the word! A GUN?? No repercussions?? WHAAAATT?? Then the dumba$$ Principal is cleaning your room??? OMG those women have something on HIM! LOL Serves him right... if he can't do his job, he may as well scrub sinks - or toilets! S-M-H!
Sue: What a great idea! A moveable hoop, to save windows/screens and walls! LOL Yes, flooring is done - started moving some stuff back in the room, but for the most part, the stuff to sort through will not be going back in. It was a wall... total... wall... of pictures and scrapbooking stuff. Still not sure what I will do with it all, but I have time to worry about that "later"! Yeah, who knows WHY HR would "pretend" that I might be at the party for my service award. Other than she's a bit(h!? I know... I'm sure that's not it... Yes, we got out of town and will return after the mess this week. We flew out of Bradley, CT into Chicago Midland, then on to Phoenix. Same route (reversed) getting home. Those potatoes sound like my Gramma's Fried Out Flats. LOL Loved them... sliced potatoes, fried in the bacon fat/grease kettle... oh boy, hadn't thought of them in years!!
Good Morning Gabrielle ☼ your weather sounds about like here this week. Thanks for starting us off this morning. Oh dear, so much for being ready for the week! Then awake with so much on your mind early morning. {{{hugs}}} Hoping your Zoom call with the Dr. goes smoothly today, and nothing but GOOD NEWS is shared. One more worry - OFF.Your.Mind.!
Not sure we are having the BEST time, yet... struggling with the time change! LOL My med reminder (on my phone) is going all sorts of haywire over the time change! I'm thinking of uninstalling it until we get home.
Jo: Interesting thoughts on your achy joints. So sorry about not sleeping last night. Yikes! Yes, isn't it interesting how many steps you can get, just putting on a family dinner?? Sorry you aren't getting to Az next week, but glad NC will work out for you. YAY Em gets to stay home alone, to get a feel for how it might go. I forget what our contract says for quitting the program early. I am going to do my best, this week, but will get my sh!t together when I get home. I have to. I hate feeling like "this" and although being slim & trim won't be the one thing in the world that will make me "happy", I know I need to fit into my clothes better than I do right now! I am hoping my capris from last year will still fit... otherwise I am going to have to go shopping while here! I do need to drink more water while here. I know I will be moving more. Even with being in planes for so much of yesterday, I got over 10k steps! But while traveling I do NOT drink enough water! LOL
OK I need to get myself moving here, literally, moving out of the room! Might check in later today - hope you all stay safe in the strange weather across the south and north east!
♥hugs♥
