Good morning.
Storm moving in, will post about it later.
Robin, yes, Easter was good, and lol, I am sorry not sorry too, about Bob. I am so glad I did not get emotionally involved with him! There just seemed something off the whole time.
That is very smart, how your temple has a plan in place for your holidays and extra people. But the way your financial system is set up, it is needed.
Ha! You are going through, with reading, how it started with me back when DH died, and I just could not get into any books. I am sure though; this will pass for you, and you will be back into it.
Anngie, there are times I pop on here in the afternoons, but just to get up to date with thread, then I jump off. And then in the morning I read anything new.
Bob had a thing for telling me about his "conquest's." Why I don't know, I just let him talk, as then I didn't have to find things to talk about. Yes, you had that right, in fact he said just the other day that he was going to search for her on FB. Meaning now, in present time. My DD met Brian on FB dating, so they each know how it works and what to look out for, so that worked very well.
It sounds like you will be getting our big crazy storm when it leaves here. The saving grace about it is that by the weekend we will be in the 50's!!!
No security at your church? The church we were members at had the usual locked doors during off times, but I don't think they had anything else.
Marsha, isn't this storm going to be interesting??? That wind!! Not looking forward to that! I was watching Patrick Powell doing a live feed on FB last night and he said it could get to 60mph and if the wind switches just a bit, it could blow up the bay, to GB, and you know what that means!! Same with the lakeshore. And we get to go out and vote in this later!!
Thanks, about the apartment, I will mention that later.
How great and encouraging about your DD and her weight. And we all know that slow weight loss is the best.
When is seder?
Both of your trips sound great! I love going out west, just wish we would have done it more, and of course going into Canada, for the train trip!! What month is the Mackinac/Canada trip?
Gareth, yes, I am not too surprised by the snow coming, as that is a bit normal for around here, in April. Everyone on Twitter was pointing out the saying of fog in winter, 90 days later a snowstorm is true, as we had fog back 90 days ago. By the weekend it will be so mild the snow will be gone. We have 1 snow day left at school, so talk is big that we will have off tomorrow. We shall see.
Thank you, about Bob. With having him over last Thursday for dinner, if he would have come up here with a bottle of wine, or maybe flowers, I would have felt better about him but nope, nothing in his hands. How can a man do that, every time??
Did you get your onion, in a timely manner?
Carol, that does not surprise me that people made plans/reservations months ago, since the eclipse is something that we all knew about for how long ago? As I said, I hope all those small towns profit from this, since it probably is the only time for all the small businesses to make some extra money.
Good on your church to have that security. We had a similar thing happen years ago at our church, where a man that looked like a bum came in during service acting all jumpy and just suspicious, so all of us in the back pews kept watching him. It turned out he was on a bike, biking through WI, but ran out of funds, so the church council agreed to give him some gift cards he could use to go to the next town. Some of us were skeptical of his story but the church said we need to help him.
I did look Bob on up on the state court system and his divorce was the only thing on there. Yes, I am really glad I brought up my concerns about him at Easter. I do grumble about my DD2 being a bit hard on me about my personal life, (she has eased up this past year though), but it is good that the family has my back.
Pinky, isn't winter #3 or 4(?) fun!!! Lol!!! This storm we are starting to get is coming up from the Kansas, Missouri area, from a huge system, so it could be a part of what you are talking about for SE SD.
I was going to wait it out with Bob, by not inviting him over anymore, but with so much going on right now with me, I just don't want to be bothered with his phone calls all the time and trying to be nice. To heck with it, just be done with him, is what I thought.
It is always nice to have so many people come to church for the holidays, but I had always hoped those extra people gave really good when the plates were passed.
First the update on the apartment: I called when I got out of work, and guess what?? They need another form!! What??? Why did not you tell me that on Friday when I was there?? A form from the school system telling them that I do not work 52 weeks, and exactly how many weeks per year I work!! OMG I almost lost it!! So, after I called HR and got the instructions for them, I calmed down and actually chatted with the woman taking care of me. She said to go ahead and hand in my notice, as she is almost certain I will be approved. Which I did; then I see I got some emails from the management office, something about a goodbye form??? I will look into that soon.
Rain/snow starting this morning, then switching around noon to all snow, but it will be that heavy wet snow. The winds will be the big thing, with them being around 40/50mph. Snowing the rest of the day and all night tonight, and tomorrow morning. We can possibly get 12"-15", but it should compact as it hits the ground, which they call a heart attack snow, for shoveling. We have our primary today, and I guess Trump is still planning on coming here for a rally downtown early this evening.
I did see in the news online that there was a rally held for him, but he did not show up for it, so the rally did not have many people there; maybe he will do that here, what with the weather.
