Good morning, friends. Itβs good to be home. I slept around 10 hours 2 nights in a row. Weβve had rain in the morning so Iβm using the time Iβm normally up and running to rest and recover from the stress. Eating was untracked during the hospital stay. I had a couple of comfort treats in the evening, but focused on healthy foods the remainder of the time. I was back on track yesterday at 1743 calories, 30% protein, and 29g fiber.
Nickβs employer has put him on a leave of absence. Itβs a family owned business, and the sons of the owner (Brody is a year younger than Nick) called to give him the news, both crying. They want the best for him, not to mention that part of his job is driving both customer and company cars. Heβs filed for unemployement but will likely be doing some landscape with a friendβs company. His friend lives close by and can easily pick him up. No driving for at least 3 months. His attitude is so positive and Iβm so grateful for that. He looks at this as a fresh start, and even last Thursday told me that this has changed him.
Iβll be reaching out to a non-profit organization called Empowering Epilepsy today. Weβre searching for a new seizure specialist thatβs not in the Cleveland Clinic healthcare system, and our PCP obviously wonβt refer us out of the CC. I just took a deep breath. One day at a time.

(((Jan))) sending more prayers for Nick and your family. So glad to hear that you are getting deep, restorative rest. Taking care of yourself helps you take care of them!

C82. D4. Week 25 of maintenance (weight). So profoundly grateful. My blood sugars are going up since I put myself on "maintenance." I'm maintaining my weight, but not my blood glucose gains. My Maintenance course points out that goal weight doesn't mean you've addressed the underlying metobolic syndrome issues. So I'm going to add back in some therapeutic fasting, which I had quit some weeks ago.
Happy to be at home this week.
DD got ENGAGED!!! So we will have a wedding in the summer of 2025.
Hi to Nancy, Lori, Meg and welcome to anyone else who wants to join :-)

Hi ladies. I've planned my foods (2 meals, 18/6 TRE) but I'm wobbling. It's drizzly and cold; no walk today. Maybe I'll try the rower again. I did 5 minutes on it last week to see if it would hurt my shoulder and I think it did. But I want to try again.
Jan: I'm so blessed and amazed by Nick's attitude. Wow. Did he expand on how this event changed him? Ten hours' sleep sounds wonderful: good for you.
Kathy: Congrats to DD! Hope you like the guy. ;-)
Nancy & Lori: hope things are going well.
Peace to all.

C134D1 - off the beam a bit, not tracking, less water, hope to get back with it sooner rather than later. Table tennis today then 1/2 hour at gym (back to the treadmill as well as the recumbant bike), then lunch with Janet, the hairdresser, the dominoes. Pleasant day.
Jan - So happy to hear of Nick's positive attitude despite the driving restriction which, of course, makes sense. So nice that his job is being held with a temporary leave of absense. Good too that you got some good rest after all of the stress. Whoever said that life is easy??
Kathy - It will be interesting to learn of your blood glucose numbers after the longer fasts. Congrats on DD's engagement. Have you had any opportunity to get to know the guy?
Meg - How'd you make out with 2 meals TRE 18/6? I'm doing well with 12/12, so far no exceptions, but rarely increase the fasting time. I think I could, but first want to do better with the 12 hour eating period. Still up in the air whether or not to track.
Lori - Are you in AC?
