This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning and happy Tuesday!
Big storms rolling in later today and through the night. It looks to be a pretty big system, as it appears that Ohio will get worse stuff than we will, but all part of the same line of storms. Tomorrow after the storms pass, we say good-bye to the 70s and drop to highs in the 50s with lows back into the 30s! Good grief! That is NOT normal for April, for sure. Now I'm really starting to feel that mother nature is working in opposition to our pool plans. haha!
For the moment I have no real plans for the day. Just some laundry and such and hanging around the house. Sounds like I'll have to put on a heavier sweatshirt to go to the gym tomorrow...good I haven't moved that stuff to the back of the closet yet, I guess. Hooray, procrastination pays off! Haha!
Janet - goodness! Parents surely do want to find blame when a kid gets sick, don't they? Whem my DD was 5, she ended up with Scarlet Fever - which is highly contagious but requires fairly close contact (according to her pediatrician). No other kid in her school or in our little town had shown symptoms, and her Dr. did kind of a "where have you been and what have you been doing" kind of questioning and he felt that the likely culprit was the ball pit and McDonalds in the nearby city. Back then those things were rarely cleaned on a regular basis, and he said he'd knew for certain that there had been a few cases in the city. That was the only place on our list that he felt it could have happened. It's also MUCH more likely than a kid getting sick from your school bathroom, for goodness sake.
Well, I hope everyone will be having a terrific Tuesday. And sending wishes for safety and calm skies to everyone who may have this storm rolling in on them.

Hello All - I have had a cough, drainage, and sore throat for several days. I don't know if it is allergies or what, but there was green dust on my car today. I will see how I am for a couple days and may end up going to the Dr. I played bridge this afternoon and I am going out to read now while there is a little sun since it looks like chillier temps are heading this way too. I also have to make a quick run to Aldi.
Lora - I feel pretty sure your pool will get plenty of use before long - lol!
Jana - sorry about the bummer day, but thanks for stopping in.....
Janet - oh dear...sorry about the parent complaining.
Waving to Jill on the farm and Robin in the office -

Hi all! Lora, I hope it's not too stormy there. That purply tree is beautiful!!!
Susie, I hope your scratchy throat is better and that you can enjoy the Bridge.
Jana, sorry about the down day. Glad Zeke is on the mend!
Janet, that just doesn't seem right that the blame is on the school. Kids will be kids... Who knows where it was picked up.
Waving hi to Robin!! I hope you're having a good week.
There were snow flurries here earlier today and it's rainy and windy, off and on. DH and I had a bit of excitement. There's a little ridge that's our favorite spot on the farm, so we drive up it with no problem. We got into some mud, so DH got out and walked next to the SUV while I maneuvered back down. It was quite a moment, and my mountain snow driving days were put to use in the mud. When it was over, we hugged and smiled. It could have ended up worse. Tonight we are headed to see some cousins. Waving hi to all!

Hi Everyone, This parent I will be glad that it is not only the child leaving but definitely this parent. Back a while ago when we had a Parent Teacher Conference she was complaining about this child who was Autistic and shouldn't be in our class and program because she said her son was copying him. Her child was way higher verbally and in many ways so all she really needed to emphasize like we were doing is that this child has special needs. Her other son has special needs and was in a special school and receiving services but yet this child shouldn't get services in our class. Ugh! This child who is Autistic has made so much progress since he started school last year with us.
We are getting lots of rain but no storms that I know of are predicted. I will have to check the weather forecast to be sure though. Susie, sorry you haven't been feeling great the last few days. If it continues definitely consider calling or visiting your doctor. Have a restful night.
